My boyfriend, dad, and I came in over the weekend to get suits for an upcoming wedding. We expressed to our sale person, Lynn G, that we didn’t have a lot of time before the wedding but wanted to try and make something work. She proceeded to show us these suits on sale that had been very popular. When she was getting their sizes she did not seem like she knew what she was doing. She’d tell them they were one size then they’d try on another and she’d say that was their size as well and tailoring would just fix it. They were both 40 short and my boyfriend wanted a dark navy whereas my dad wanted a lighter navy. They had a darker navy suit on the rack that fit both my boyfriend and my dad. They also had another one that was slightly slimmer that didn’t fit either of them. My boyfriend went with the darker navy and went to get alterations while my dad went to order the suit. Lynn expressed they didn’t have any others in their size in the darker navy but they did in the lighter. I said that would look good so he decided to go with that and a couple dress shirts and ties. When we got home we realized that she had charged us for 2 $80 dress shirts when he only bought one and a tie. We also just received the suit in the mail and not only does it not fit but it’s also not the right color we had asked for. I am completely taken back by the service from Lynn. It seems to just be issue after issue with her when what we wanted really wasn’t that difficult to understand or do. I personally have worked at Nordstrom and would be disappointed if someone I was working with was actively doing this to customers because not only does she not know what she’s doing she makes countless mistakes throughout the process. Now my dad does not have a suit for the wedding coming up because of Lynn. We tried to look online for the right size after receiving the wrong suit but it is completely sold out. Lynn screwed us and now my dad has to figure out what to do for...
Read moreI am a die-hard Nordstroms fan. Not because of their prices (obviously!), but because of their customer service and amazing return policy. Nordstroms at the Natick Collection has a mixed bag of good and "not so good" customer agents. The women who work in the childrens' department are fantastic and very accommodating; however, the customer service upstairs in lingerie and women's clothing is very typical of any department store- just meh. I used to be in love with the shoe department because of the amazing customer service; however, over the past two years I've noticed a distinct decline in customer service in this department as well. One fantastic secret most people might not know is that anything you buy at Nordstroms can also be returned to Nordstrom Rack! I love that because I don't have to go through the hassle of finding a parking space and going into the mall. Another quality of Nordstroms that is hard to find anyplace else is their very generous return policy. If you purchase an item at Nordstroms and it rips or gets damaged or is defective, they will return it- even if it's been worn and is several months old! You really can't beat that! So, I spend more money to shop at Nordstroms, but I believe that getting better service and being able to return anything whenever is...
Read moreI came to pick up my online order from this Nordstrom since the one in Braintree closed down. I decided to try on my order to see the fit in case i would have to return the items. Two of the items didn’t fit. I asked a sales associate to help with the return. She started to help me but then proceeded to do other stuff around the counter instead. She then started the return in which she didn’t add both items to the return. I notified her about the second item. I thought she voided the transaction and added the second item But instead, she did not she proceeded to give me a refund for the first item. I then said “thank you” and proceeded to leave, because i thought she did both items but then she said with an attitude “you do remember we have another transaction. We just discussed this 10 mins ago. Were you here”. My own mother doesn’t talk to me that way. I don’t appreciate someone talking down to me as if I’m slow. I’m an educated black woman that didn’t appreciated being talk to as if i wasn’t one. Maybe she was a racist…. Who knows but i do know that her customer service skills were appalling and no one should be talked...
