All Seasons Main Street Retreat — Hotel in Fredericksburg

My daughter is having a destination wedding in Fredericksburg in April. After reading all the reviews and looking at many properties in town, we chose Joe Cloud and The Main Street Retreat. We are so glad we did. We went in for our scouting weekend to choose venues, flowers, cakes etc. last weekend and were blown away by the property and Joe personally. He is so friendly and fun to work with and he knows everyone! He made our planning weekend so easy. We left with the venue, cake and flowers all checked off our list!

Now let’s talk about Main Street Retreat. There are 5 individual cottages and two suites in the main house. We stayed in one of the cottages in the back courtyard and they are perfection. They have done a fantastic job with landscaping and the courtyard was the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine after a long day of planning. We had all the space we needed, a king size bed with wonderful linens and a bathroom stocked with Gilchrist & Soames products! Breakfast was perfect as it was in the room and available for us when we wanted it.

All in all, it was a hugely successful weekend and we loved our stay at All Seasons Main Street Retreat. We know our guests are going to be in great hands when they come for the wedding and my daughter is planning to make this a regular anniversary spot for them!

We really like the place butt they need to get some better cleaning crew the floors were sticky and turned my house shoe's black, it was so bad that you could hear them sticking to the floor as you walked around, the bathroom floor was absolutely gross nasty. The was clothes were nasty and stained and really needed to be thrown away and the dishes were dirty. They said not to turn the a/c down below 70 or it would freeze up and not work, well that is flat out rediculios because it was 98 and 99 degrees and the humidity was outrageous and it would hardly keep room comfortable. We loved the setting and the place is really cute and a great location, but they have to do something about the a/c and get a new cleaning...

At first glance, the wow factor was in full effect until you started to just get a feel for the place. You can tell they upgraded but had put little effort into maintaining the place. Simple tasks are left undone. Ceiling fans had accumulated dust, the iron had a big chunk taken out of the side, the mantle was dirty, and the light fixtures on the bathroom were just bulbs without the glass coverings. Both chairs at the table were a little unstable, being that they were broken and they tried to repair. But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and the rate was very pleasant. Just a little upkeep would make this place...
