Waffle House — Restaurant in Virginia

Listen, you ain't coming here for the service nor the gourmet food. Are they gonna forget something? Yes without a doubt you'll not receive something or have something wrong with the order everytime you eat here. (They will fix that quickly though) But that's not the point here at the awful waffle, it's the sheer cheapness and old Americana dining experience with a heavy dusting of all types of socioeconomics folks coming here. (Come here on a weekend night and you may witness a free spectacle)

I've eating at waffle houses for the better part of 20 years and never would I describe their food as "good" but for the cost it's great. I ate 6 eggs, double order of has browns and toast for roughly 18$, I dare you to find anywhere else that serves this much food at that price point. My wife hates this place, part of the joy is making her suffer while I eat the greasiest hash browns known to mankind. I've gotten my kids to love it and now as teenagers it's become nostalgic to dine here for them as I can feed a family of 5 for well under 100$ in today's money.

When I was a student or unemployed I could reliable eat here for around 5$ and walk away full. (Double order of hash browns with a few toppings would be around 5.50$)

Nowhere else in all of America will you find a more consistent greasy spoon with the value of waffle house.

May your coffee be hot and your order be wrong but the food be filling.

Also I'm knocking a star off because y'all consistently forget my apple...

It's a Waffle House not much more to be said

In the past three weeks I've been in here three times and only one time have I been allowed in to eat.

The first time I came in a waitress inform me as I came in but they were not doing orders today because the girl was being cleaned this was approximately 2 weeks ago.

The second time I came in the service was asked to be expected.

And here is the reason for the reduction in SARS.

I pulled up to the restaurant this morning at approximately 3:35 a.m. there are two waitresses sitting down at the counter talking there is one waitress cleaning.when I walk into the store I am told that they are closed for dine in they are carry out only today as they're cooked and not show up and they cannot allow anyone in the store without a cook Even though there are three of them present two of which are doing absolutely nothing. This is very similar to my first experience approximately 2 weeks ago there was one young lady vigorously cleaning the grow and there was two young ladies sitting down doing absolutely nothing.

I realize that waitresses do not make a lot of money and I completely understand that but to sit down and do absolutely nothing and tell customers that they will not help them is absolutely ridiculous.

So apparently this place is closed every time I go by there's nobody in there. No customers no waitresses no...

NOT SAFE! Horrible place! Read the Yelp reviews for this location!!! My wife and I left this Waffle House after sitting in the restaurant for less than 2 minutes. Believe it or not we actually left because the Waffle House employees attitudes, whom were working (and the employees sitting inside the restaurant eating wearing Waffle House uniforms (I assume off going or on coming shift) they where actually glaring at us and making snide comments at my wife and I because we asked them if they could please turn down the music, at first the waitress gave me a snarling look, she conversed with one of her fellow employees who looked our way and said it couldn't turn the music down because the box was "broke" after more conversation they decided to turn the music box off. That is when the actual employees employees starting making comments, telling each other that they were gonna make my wife and I reimburse them for the money they put in the “broken” music box. Other employees started making comments as well. It seemed to be escalating, It got to the point I didn't feel safe with my wife in the restaurant. So we left.
