This was by far the worst experience I've had staying at a hotel and I've stayed at over 200 in my life. 1. There were bed bugs all over I have over 9 bites I'm dealing with several days later. Prior to my second night I asked if I could get some housecleaning just change the sheets prior because of the bed bites and empty the trash bags. Not a single thing was done. I had to spend two nights get eaten alive by bugs. 2. I cannot believe im stating this in 2023. I could not imagine staff this rude if I wanted to. The young man with the beard was nice and friendly. The Older indian gentlemen with the British accent is the rudest individual i have ever come across in any service industry. He was ridiculously smug and arrogant and refused to help with anything. He will cut you off when you are asking for something and will yell at you. I literally could not believe how this man was speaking to us. He was like the crazy customer but on the service side. He asked if I wanted house keeping I said just the sheets changed he replies "SO THEN YOU WANT HOUSECLEANING. THATS WHAT IT IS THATS WHAT IT MEANS SHEESH" I dont know who raised this man but to act that way he was like a teenage brat but a grown man. I CANNOT MAKE this next part up. He was called in to answer my question regarding staying in the same room and as he is coming he mutters under his breath" stupid Nier" I could not believe what i was hearing and would not have if the lady next to me did not also hear it and we both looked at each other in shock. After telling Lokesh( in a gentle tone check the cameras) that he cannot speak to me that way I GOT KICKED OUT. For requesting to not be called a Nier. I cannot believe this is happening in 2023. I have already reached out to several journalists in the area and business bureaus along with filing complaints to the state and will pursue any further action possible. I never leave reviews anywhere but I legit cannot believe this nightmare of an experience. It felt more like a prison stay than a hotel visit as everyone there is on a power trip and if you're a person of color they will look for anyway to kick you out. I felt so uneasy getting dirty looks from lokesh every time i entered or having him mutter things under his breath every time i was in the lobby. Kim did nothing to help and just aided Lokesh in the bs and lies. If they try to deny anything I said review the camera footage and also question the older white lady who was visiting from cleveland ohio who heard this man call...

Unspicable! My son and daughter in law moved to Gainesville, my sister Susana Yombalakian, other family members and I tagged along to help with the city move. We were going to spend 2 nights at this hotel as we worked on the move. When we got there we found signs that said: "Sorry for your inconvenience, We are renovating." So the first impression was not nice, but we though its because of renovations. We we went to our rooms 3 in total they were above an beyond disgusting. Mold amd dirt everywhere and a strong strong mildew smell. We quickly went to the front desk and requested to change 2 of our 3 rooms. They changed us to other rooms a total of 3 room changes that lead to the same experience. We asked that they cancel our reservations so we can go to another hotel. The very rude front desk lady said she had to charge us for leaving so we decided to spend the night and we canceled the reservations for the following night. The morning after I went to the front desk and asked for a manager since the night before when we checked in they did not have one. She said her name was Kim and she apologized for the mold, smell and dirt was because they had not been renting the rooms because of COVID-19 to which I answered that I pray to God that none of us got sick there. If this is the way they clean we cannot trust that rooms would be properly clean after clients checked out. At check out time my sister Susana was charged the one night for each of the rooms plus $600 unexplained dollars. When she requested a refund for the wrongly charged money but they said that they could not really help her. My sister said she would have to call her bank and file a fraud claim for the extra wrong charge if they do not return her the extra charge. They manager whose name is Kim told my sister that if she threatens her she would not help her. We left and she had to contact her bank because they did not fix their "mistake" Or apologized. Side note:"A couple who was at the front desk before my sister har the same issue. The over charge them $600..." I am appalled at the awful situation we had to...

This experience was the worst my family has ever encountered. It first started within the first few hours we were there where the front desk worker had an attitude about the lack of toilet paper in our room. When presented with options such as getting toilet paper from the back or another room the front desk worker responded "you can go buy some across the street." This culminated in one of the worst displays of customer service we’ve ever seen, she fabricated lies about noise complaints that were given by guests when there was we nobody in the room as they attended the UF graduation on Friday hours after check in, then spent the entire day out of the house on Saturday before heading to the pool around 8:30. When going in for towels not only were they greeted with an attitude from the same employee, but the very same employee restricted their access to their room. As family came to the front desk to figure out why their access was restricted given there was a booked stay until this morning (Sunday), not only were they confronted with lies, but a false accusation that the police had been called. A family member called the police and they ended up having to drive home to Atlanta, a 4 1/2 hour drive at midnight after a long day out. This place oughta be shut down or have a serious internal evaluation of the employees they hire. The fact that someone like this was hired is not only a disappointment but tainted a great weekend to celebrate my graduation. If you and your family need somewhere to stay I’d recommend finding another place or looking at an AirBnB because an establishment like this is a slap in the face to the origins of hotels, which was to provide housing on the basis that NOBODY gets kicked out… highly DONT recommend this place to anyone trying to enjoy a...

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING AT THIS PLACE!!: I have stayed at every Hotel within a 25 mile radius of this 'Super 8' for the past 3 years(for work) except for Gainesville 'Super 8'..Recently, I finally gave it a shot despite the terrible reviews ranging from filthy bedsheets, atrocious behavior of staff, to absolute 'horror stories' from other guests. Eventually, my wife told me, "it can't be that bad"......Well, it was, .....and then some..We finally checked in after seeing the elder 'host'/check-in clerk' lurking over the pool area (and I mean 'lurking')where a family was enjoying themselves, which in hindsight should have been a red flag. Anyhow, We get to our room. I go back to work, within an hour my wife calls me and I hear 'over the phone' this man yelling at my wife over her asking about the $10 fee for pets, in which it states on their website. At this point, after hearing what he had said to my wife, we were obviously not even interested in staying at this roach motel. I immediately showed up with my lawyer on speaker, etc.... Overall, the only thing I can do is offer sound advice,...It may seem cheaper at the moment, even if its just for a few days. Unfortunately, the fact is, this location (not all Super-8 motels) is known for ripping off honest, hard-working ppl who thought, "it can't be that bad." Sometimes it is.

Although this was not my worst experience, this is not a great place to stay. I rated this hotel poorly because of their cleanliness, design, and amenities. First off, the rooms are picked up but not cleaned. I included pictures of some nasty stuff I found. The freezer had something very gross covering it, the phone was greasy, and the sheets had stains. The design of the hotel was poorly conceived. You can only enter through one side and there is not an elevator. To make matters worse, the staircase is so narrow two people cannot pass each other. While an offered breakfast is always a plus, be aware that there is zero options that could be considered healthy. All of the options are breads, pastries, or heavily sugared oatmeals. Furthermore, all of these options, except the waffles, are stale. The one good point of the breakfast was that the eating area appears to be the only place properly cleaned. I'd like to also address the staff friendliness that other people complained about. I did not think the staff was particularly rude in any way, but they definitely don't exude a positive attitude. They are there doing their job and that is all. I don't think anyone should take it personally, because I have experienced terrible service. The Super 8 is not so bad on that front.

My name is Christi Williams and I stayed here with my teenage children on New Years Eve. We arrived about 10pm, stayed one night, and left at 6:30am the next morning. We watched the ball drop on tv (I have video proof) and then went to sleep as we were just passing through and had been driving all day. We woke up the next morning (didn’t even turn on the tv) and left early. I get home and check my bank account and what was supposed to be a $100 incidental hold turned into a $175 incidental hold which is still showing pending. Then I see a charge for $275 that has cleared my account. I called and spoke to the manager and asked why and he said the TV in the room I was in was broken. When I asked broken how? He said every channel the picture is green. I’m sorry but how is that my problem that your crappy TV is having picture issues? Unless there is physical damage how am I being charged for a TV going out. He refused to refund the $275. Absolute crooks at this establishment. They just don’t want to pay for a new TV and would rather charge customers for it. I don’t know why your TV screen is green but that is not my problem. Also, see the attached list of possible reasons a TV screen can be green. Total bullshit!!
