This review is about of what we've experienced at this hotel. Me and my friend stayed at this hotel back in February 2001 (NOT Feb 2024) and we came from London, UK. We arrived to start our holiday on the evening of Saturday 17 February 2001 for 7 nights. On the morning of our day 4, I realised that I have run out of funds and my friend offered to pay food for me as I made agreement with him as he had funds and we left the hotel to walk to McDonald's to have some breakfast. During the walk, my friend checked his pockets and remembered that he left his wallet on the bed and we returned to the hotel room to pick it up. As we entered the room, we saw that our room was already cleaned and refreshed by the room cleaner. However, my friend knew that he left his wallet on his bed and therefore, his wallet was not there and the room cleaner was not located on the room level. We did a room search including searching his and my bags, cupboards and everywhere around the room then we realised the wallet has been stolen because the wallet is nowhere else to be seen. We went downstairs to the lobby, we spoke to the receptionist, explained everything and the receptionist only looked at us, he did nothing but only printed out a sheet that shows a list of how many times and who entered the room with the time indicated but that didn't help and my poor friend was in tears as his cash and bank card was in his wallet which was all taken. Everyone in the lobby saw him in tears but they didn't care to take any sort of action at all. We explained to them that it's possible his wallet may have been stolen by the room cleaner because when we arrived back less than 10 minutes after we left, the room has already cleaned, refreshed the room and the cleaner was nowhere to be seen on that level and the room is located in the middle section of the corridor and the cleaner should be cleaning the next room but there's no cleaner there. Despite trying to explain everything, the receptionist and the person who stood next to him did not care less to do anything. We had no other choice as we couldn't eat our breakfast, but to go and spend our remaining 3 and a half days sitting in the hotel room, watching tv, being very sad that our holiday has been ruined and wasted and becoming very hungry because we had no money to eat anything and we were waiting for the day to come so that we can go home. I am a disabled person, I have explained this to the receptionist to tell the manager and I take medications and that I do require to eat something so I can take my medications to a full stomach rather than empty stomach, I wasn't lying, I had all the proof to show but the manager seemed careless, didn't believe me and didn't accept my request. I had no other choice but to take my important tablets to an empty stomach to live just by using the ice dispenser machine to put some ice in my glass in the hotel corridor and to wait for it to melt so I can drink it with my tablets. Anyone can fall in to a bad situation like this, their wallet's can get lost or stolen with all their cash and bank cards and end up having no money to use. I'm not blaming the hotel staff that I ran out of funds because that was my mistake but I'm blaming them for having no sympathy towards us and not helping us to give some food to eat which will make us happy and not taking any action to deal with my friend's stolen wallet. We were glad that we did not stay more than 7 days otherwise I would've definitely become extremely unwell from hungar and by taking my medications in to an empty stomach. Who ever was the manager at the time I would state that manager has failed to it's job properly for not taking any action about my friend's stolen wallet and for making us as customers to feel very unhappy. If anyone worked there in February 2001 and still working there right now and reading this, you may remember those 2 young male customers who came from London, UK for 1 week and suffered money propblems. I was also very sad that my plans...
Read moreWe (2 Adults) had a 6 day stay at this hotel and this might be our new favourite stay in the greater Anaheim/Orange County area. This hotel offers a high quality stay at a reasonable price! We are two Disney Adults from Canada and attend the area frequently. This was our first stay at the Hyatt Regency Orange County. The hotel is a beautiful spot. The way the hotel is situated physically, it seems that it is off of the main roadways. This makes the front access and drive feel very private. The staff at the front of house, such as Front Desk, Concierge and Valet's are all incredibly nice. Any time you walk by, they ask how things are, if you're enjoying your stay, etc. They were incredible. Additionally, the remote for our TV in the room wasn't working when we arrived. After briefly speaking with a staff member, a new remote was delivered extremely quickly!
While the grounds seem to be cleaned and maintained extremely well, you can tell there are some areas of maintenance that are beginning to deteriorate. There are a few things of note, in the shower and bathroom, the metal fixtures such as sprinkler heads and faucet fixtures were showing some minor rust. Additionally some of the areas around the pools were beginning to deteriorate.
Both outdoor pools were great! Extremely clean and both were salt water pools, which is great for kids who love to swim. No burning eyes due to chlorine. The pool located on the 3rd floor of the south tower seemed to be more geared toward the kids. With all manner of "yard" type games, including two full sized pickle ball courts, a half basketball court and much more. Worth noting, there is no spa (hot tub) at the south tower pool. The other pool is located at ground level of the north tower. This area was incredible. It honestly felt like a pool from Hawaii or some other tropical resort type getaway.
Last notes: The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows and great, very clean bedding. Water pressure in the shower was awesome! The best water pressure we've seen in the Anaheim/Orange County area. Here is an important tip, there is a door hanger located in the room that you can hang on your room door that offers $10.00 worth of credit to food/beverage in the hotel if you refuse room cleaning, up to 7 days. If you are visiting Disney, this is important as there is a small grab and go style store (Iswii) located in the lobby where you can get bottled water, soda, sandwiches, etc etc. You can use your credit at this store, which is awesome when you get back from a long, hot day at the parks. The only real issue I had with this hotel, was the surprise we got as Canadians upon check in. The hotel takes $75.00USD/day as a deposit. This adds up quick, and then goes up expenentially for Canadians. So if you're big "budgeters" like we are, the unexpected $650.00CAD charge can be a hard pill to swallow. This is just a deposit though, so you will get it back after your stay, unless of course you destroy your room.
Overall, we had a great stay at this hotel. I would highly recommend it to anyone! We will definitely be...
Read morethe worst hotel I have ever stayed in in the whole world They claim to be pet friendly but it is not true. Since day 1 I entered, they were bothering me, they called and called my phone, my dog was barking, it is obvious that he is going to bark if he hears any noise. They NEVER specified to me at any time that the dog could not be left in the room only for a few hours. They do this so they want to charge you a fine of $500 dollars for noise complaining. I asked to speak to a manager And they sent me someone named Tony, with whom I reached an agreement that I would no longer be bothered. Very clearly, I told him that we had tickets to Disneyland for the next few days. which he suggested that I buy and give a type of relaxing pills to my dogs in case they were a little nervous and upset, which was done The day I was in the parks they called me again to inform me again that the dogs were barking, which I told the manager Gladis that I had already reached an agreement with Tony, which turns out that she told me that Tony was just a guard. security so they lied to me that first day by the desk staff, it was really very inconvenient and frustrating to be dealing with that situation while already being in the parks, which we all know is not cheap and the stay in that hotel in which they had me was not economical either. already collected deposit and another deposit for taking my dogs which was of no use since one of us had to go to the hotel, leave the park, lose the day with us and ruin our vacation Given the situation, I assumed that I would no longer be bothered since someone was already in the room with the dogs. What a surprise he took me after Gladis and Alexis, both managers, threatened to take me out of the hotel and Gladis hung up on me in the most unprofessional way. Even so, when there was already someone in the room, as I had already mentioned. They charge me $500 dollars as a fine even though someone of our family had left the park was in the room and Gladis had threatened me It is really a scam and I do not recommend it to stay. Neither Gladis nor Alexis wanted to give me names of people above them. I'm going to keep contacting until we find a solution. Too much money was spent to ruin my Christmas vacation just because of racist people like them I really need someone higher than those 2 to contact since they refuse to give me any information and I need my money back ! Also day charge you $30 dolars per day for the parking !!!! If you’re staying already there why charge you extra ! They completely ruined my...
