If you take any advice from a review take this one. If Amber is your server RUN! As life long Red Robin fans today was extremely disappointing. We have gone to multiple locations in multiple states and never had a problem. We always make sure that our servers are tipped well, as most of us have worked in the industry. Our experience started out as a normal with great hosts. After being sat we waited around 10 minutes for a server to approach even though the restaurant was practically empty. Amber eventually came to our table. We attempted to order just bottomless sides, which we have done countless time at other locations as well as this location only two days before. Amber then told us that we couldn’t do that and as a group just had to order ONE entree. So when she came back we confirmed what she said and had one person order an entree. To which she responded that we couldn’t do that. At this point her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. Her tone came across as rude and condescending. Amber’s behavior and defensiveness made this small issue into a completely avoidable confrontation. It felt that she never cared about providing good service with the noticeable lack of professionalism and the wanting to be “right” in the conflict. Instead of apologizing she placed any blame elsewhere. By this point we were fed up her service, attitude and experience we said we would just leave, to which she replied “fine” in an aggressive manner. We then asked for a manager and she stood there trying to continue to argue. We explained to the manager the situation how we have been to multiple locations in multiple states where we have ordered just sided and never had an issue, with their location being days before. We pointed out that no where on the menu it states bottomless sides must be ordered with an entree and how on the website it states that you can order them without an entree and they take pride in their bottomless sides. The manager did attempt to rectify the situation by “allowing us to do this today but can’t promise it will be allowed next time”. Our table was then taken over by Katie who was AMAZING!! Her level of care and professionalism was outstanding, her service was seamless and efficient. Her positive attitude and warm personality made us feel like valued guests not just customers. Katie was incredible and deserves to have recognition for saving what seemed like a situation that couldn’t be saved.
It was truly disappointing the events of our visit and how opposite the service could be. We have always looked at Red Robin with the highest regards and a family favorite. We have always received amazing service (just like Katie) which is part of the reason we return and have visited many locations in different states and areas. We have loved the brand and it’s heartbreaking how this experience as negatively affected our view of the brand. The way Amber handled the situation was nothing short of appalling. Her condescending attitude and lack of professionalism was entirely inappropriate. It was clear that she had no interest in providing basic service and more interested in arguing than resolving the issue. It’s shocking that someone with such disregard for guests is employed here. Ambers service is unacceptable and the lack of accountability is a direct reflection on the brand. Service like this has no business working in the hospitality industry. I strongly urge management to take action. I would recommend to anyone who visits this location to ask for Katie. If someone happened to get put in Ambers area know you are better off to...
Read moreI ordered oreo milkshake and shrooms burger with onion rings.
The milkshake was thick and creamy, which is great, but I was given the skinny straw. With numerous huge chunks of oreo at the bottom, due to the milkshake not being blended for longer, it was all clogged at the base of the straw, making the milkshake impossible to suck up. Should this be the usual way the milkshake is made, perhaps a thick straw should be offered instead, to make it easier to enjoy the beverage. I do not like the taste of whipped cream. My server failed to ask if I wanted whipped cream on top of the milkshake, and I had forgotten to inform her that I didn't want it.
The service was efficient, and food was served quick. I did not have to wait long at all.
When the burger first arrived, I picked it up the entire bottom bun was soaked through with oil. It was so soggy and mushy, my fingers sank through the bun and I immediately dropped the burger back onto the plate, observing that there was an overwhelming amount of oil puddle on the plate itself. It grossed me out immensely. So I flipped the burger, removed the soaked through bottom bun, and ate it with the top bun as the base. But half way through, the top bun got soggy as well, from the oil oozing out of the patty. So I gave up, and put a serviette down to rest my patty, to allow all the excess oil to get absorbed, and simply ate only the ingredients, which wasn't fantastic either.
And no, it definitely isn't because I am health conscious and being over dramatic about the amount of oil. If I were, I wouldn't have ordered onion rings or the milkshake, neither would I even have done a burger, I would've probably just ordered a salad instead. Hell, I wouldn't even be at Red Robin to begin with. I wanted a decent, hearty burger, but was astoundingly disappointed with how mine turned out.
I also requested for the beef patty to be cooked medium rare, as looking at the pictures from the menu, the patty seemed like those cheap and thin cheese burger patties, and I did not want my patty to be overly dry when it came. It wasn't exactly medium rare, but at least it wasn't as dry as it would've been.
The only redeeming factor for the meal was the onion rings. The batter was done well, crispy and thick and tastes good. And of course the efficient service as well.
For everything else though, no, I will not be back at Red Robin again. This is my first time, and shall be my last time as well. I am sorry to say, but the burger was simply garbage.
I regret that I do not have...
Read moreI had a horrible time at this Red Robin. My family love to visit Red Robin in our home town. The staff is always kind and the food is amazing. Unfortunately we had the worst dining experience I've had in my life. We arrived hungry and before the dinner rush. We wanted to sit outside but it turned out to be too cold for us so we asked for a table inside. Once inside, we met the rudest waitress on earth. She clearly hated her job. We told her our babies were really hungry and we would love a basket of fries as soon as possible. We also placed an order for our kids and my niece. We still needed time to decide what to eat and the waitress didn't come back to take the rest of our orders for 20 minutes. We waited over 1 hour after sitting down before we received out first bit of food, the first basket of fries. I needed to take my son for a walk because he was freaking out so bad. Finally we started to eat but our waitress was no where in site. The last time we saw her was when she took our order. We had to stop and ask other staff for help. Finally we called the manager over to express our displeasure with the service. At this point, we had ordered four adult meals, and requested fries 4 times. We only receive one extra order of fries and that was at the beginning. The manager didn't seem to care about our problem either. She quietly apologized and left but never returned. We needed to leave to put our kids to bed so we told the rest of our party, three other people, we were leaving. When walking out, we asked the manager if we could pay because we didn't want the others to pay. We waited for about 5 min then looked around the service corner to find the manager telling her staff about how rude we were. We asked her again for the bill to be paid by credit card. She gave me the slip and walked away without giving me a pen to sign. I had to ask another staff member for a pen. The final horrible service note is they didn't tell our party we paid for them. They waited another 30 min before finally asking someone. The manager came over and told them that we we said our party wouldn't pay so that is why we did. The whole experience was horrible. Some of the staff tried to help out but our waitress and the manager made it so much worse. I will never come back to any Red Robin again for the trouble they gave to my kids and my family. I suggest you all...
