The very first day I checked in Mariam was extremely hostile & rude! She had an attitude from the beginning of my stay to the end. When I arrived in my room the air conditioning was not blowing properly, there was a small bug in one of my beds, mysterious stains on the floor of my room & also the bathroom was very improperly cleaned. There was all types of clay looking particles in the tub & even one day there was a spider in the bathroom that I took a picture of! The shower did not get hot & the sink was disgusting. It had all types of lime particles from when I got there to when I left. Letting me know it's not properly cleaned. Also the sink collects water rather than draining it.Room 908 was a disgrace to who Marriott is and I think Mariam and Luna's PISS poor attitude reflects the establishment as a whole. I will NEVER stay here again, I was able to get this hotel at a discounted rate because of my sorority but I truly feel BAD for those that stay here and pay the full price of what you guys call a " 4 star luxury " hotel! This might as well be a motel! Employees are a joke& so is this establishment! There was actually quite the hassle ! I arrived to check in my hotel for a conference and was told I could not stay because my father paid for my hotel! I didn't know it was an issue that someone else paid for my hotel! I was never made aware of this policy & my father and l even called and spoke to an employee of this hotel and was told as long as I have the physical card when I arrive I will not have an issue. I live 2600 miles from this this specific hotel so of course we wanted to make sure everything would be okay when I arrived. However, Mariam & the other man that worked night shift July 9th at around 11:50 pm made sure I had ALL THE HASSLES possible! When I first arrived at check in I was asked for mv license and card on file. The second he saw the card he denied me service and said I could not check in because my father wasn't with me! I said ok what are my options, he told me I had if he wasn't here and if I didn't have my own card there was nothing he could do!That's when Mariam stepped in. Her attitude was so disgusting even when she was "trying to help" she denied even talking to me because I was asking her the important questions of why I was even allowed to check in and confirm my reservation if you saw the card doesn’t match my name! She gave me 30 minutes to call my father to get him to sign a clearance form that she let me know “ I should’ve received with the check in option”. Which I did not! When I finally reached my father it was 3am his time , she spoke to him with quite an attitude and purposely tried to move slow so that I couldn't check in my hotel. She spitefully claimed she had to go to another computer & tried to charge my father’s card over 6 times to say his card was declining. What credit card company would allow a transaction for over $500 6 times at 3am??? When the card finally worked she reluctantly gave them to me after her attempts to make sure I didn’t have a place to rest didn’t work! She even threatened to make me stay in the lobby, I said nothing out of the way to this woman but as you can imagine I was frustrated that this information wasn't relayed to me properly beforehand. Mariam is also a disarace to vour companv and should not be an employee If she doesn’t know to properly manage her emotions! Between her and the other rude staff I encountered such as Luna & the male that accompanied Mariam July 9th at 11:50 pm ( didn’t catch his name) I will NEVER spend another dime with this particular hotel. I think the issues I experienced with the staff directly reflect the upkeep of this hotel and it’s sad ! I hope you all learn how to talk to customers , regulate emotions and clean...

My family and I went to Disneyland California adventures this weekend & had booked with this hotel to stay Saturday night. We left our house early morning around 5am and spent all day in the hot weather over 10+hrs that day at Disney; 4hr drive btw. We had called ahead to check in. Check-in and all went well and by the time we got into our rooms it was around midnight. My SIL, right away took our kids to bathe and after I put our stuff down I went to look around the room as I always do. I saw these red spots which seemed like blood splatter on our lamp shade, curtains, and on the floor. I called my SIL and Husband over to look and they also agreed that it was. So we took pictures and headed down to the front desk. We showed it to the front desk worker named Matthew. He looked at the pictures and started the process of moving us, my husband stated that we have given my kids a bath but he still proceeded to issue us key cards to a new room. After getting new key cards, we went back to the car and grabbed the rest of our things. When we came back inside we realized the key cards were not activated so we headed back to the front desk. When my husband got there, Matthew told him that because we used the bathroom to give my kids a bath we no longer can be moved to another room. He stated it was policy!
It was 1am and here we are with no option other than to sleep in the room with what we believe are blood stains or to go home. After more conversation we decided we would ask for a full refund and leave, as there was no way we would be comfortable sleeping in a room that wasn’t properly cleaned. We were told by Matthew, he couldn’t give the refund and that we had to call back when is manager was in for the refund to take place. I had asked him for a corporate number and he said he did not have it. (You’re telling me you work here but don’t have the corporate number?)
My husband asked for his manager’s email and he gave my husband the front desk email where our complaint would just be emailed straight to his department. So now, I am left frustrated and upset, he did not once apologize throughout all of our conversations.
Is this the kind of customer service and employee that Marriott Hotels would like to have represent them? Refusing a family with kids age range 2-9yrs old a new room after their rooms were not cleaned up to standards! How is that my family’s fault? Why couldn’t he just let us sleep in the vacant room that he already had given us key cards to?
After a very frustrating experience, we packed up our stuff and carried our kids into our cars to drive back home 4 hours away at 1am in the morning with no refund! We didn’t get home til 7am. This is NOT ok! This was such a horrible end to our night! This hotel is near Disneyland & I do not recommend this hotel to any one after our experience.
The next day I called and emailed the manager but didn’t get a response. I had to call again today and finally reached her. She stated she was reading my email and will give me a call. A couple hours later she did call back and say she requested a full refund & expects it to be back in our acct 7-14 business days.

Read moreUpon check in… our room was filled with a wet dry vac and tools everywhere… we waited…and were given a key to the room next door. It smelled like sewer..probably from what seemed to be a clogged overflowing toilet from our first room next door. We waited again…were told they were upgrading us.. moved us to the 9th floor… our upgrade was a 9th floor room..that looked exactly the same lol… We were determined not to let this first day ruin our vacation with our grown kids…. The next few days were fine..bed was comfy..internet worked..had hot water. Tons of company parties on property..loud music and zero parking EVERYDAY we were there.
Then came our Disney day..we left at 7am…. Their policy is..if you want your room cleaned you have to request it be cleaned… we DID NOT request for our room or our kids room. But upon arrival late that night after a day at Disney..our kids called and said their room had been cleaned and we needed to come down. My son in law had forgotten to put his wedding ring on that morning in the hustle and bustle of going to Disney early. He left it in a black zipped up jewelry keeper on the nightstand.
You guessed it..it was gone. Not just his ring..the entire box! We tore the room apart.. nothing. Called the mgr and were told they would investigate in the morning. So we cancelled our morning plans to deal with this. After about 10am..I finally had to get firm about the lack of progress..they sent 3 managers to the room (my husband and I walked down) thinking they were needing to go through the room and the kids belongings. Nope..they stood in the doorway..talked to each other in Spanish… said nothing to us… and started to leave. I stopped them..told them they could look through anything they needed to..pointed to the kids luggage…. She smiled and they left. We called down about 30 min later and were told that they were done with the investigation bc we were not cooperating. I about lost my mind..not gonna lie. I was not nice at that point.
Needless to say..we called the police..they showed up. The manager admitted they know who went in the room but they were not saying she took anything but that she did not have a request or authorization to clean the kids room. It was a mistake. And proceeded to tell us the ring was lost. Again I about lost my mind. Listen lady.. the ring was not sitting on the table and knocked off…it was in a box and the whole damn box was gone.. you were given access to search our things..even my husband’s and my things on the 9th floor… didn’t..and then said we weren’t cooperating!!! No we were not leaving you or your staff ALONE with our things after a 1k ring had been stolen!
My advice…stay somewhere else. My adult kids learned a valuable life lesson on our Christmas trip.. people are shady and can’t be trusted. Use the safe in the room…always..even if they tell you they will not be cleaning your room. I hope the little girl that took it was atleast able to buy Christmas for her family with what she took from my newly married kids.
Integrity is lost on this hotel…they watched my kids be devastated on our vacation and could have cared less…
We will stay in contact with the police…they were amazing… doubt we will ever get it back but I hope it frightens the one who took it..fearing they might figure it out.
Tons of resorts in the area..GO...
