I'm giving it 2 stars because of our circumstance. During BlizzCon the rooms service staff have a strike so there is no room service. No free parking and no free breakfast. The hotel next door has both. And the most important. 2 am fire alarm goes off. Not any normal alarm. Loudest blaring siren noises followed up by an apocalyptic voice saying "CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE. x2 This is an emergency." Literally the scariest and freakiest thing ever. We go outside. No one tells us to come back in, other guests who saw us standing outside waved us in. Not employees. Icing on the cake... 2 and half hours go by. Another fire alarm goes off. Same scariness except it shuts off early and no one leaves their rooms. Okay is it done? Nope. 10 minutes goes by and it happens again... And again... And again... That's right. Over the course of 40 minutes the alarm keeps going. I have sleeping problems since I was a kid and if I get spooked in my sleep I won't ever be able to sleep for a while. After that it was 5 am. I put on The Office to calm myself from that freaky alarm. Next days sleep was a nightmare. I couldn't get the noise out of my head. I didn't want to sleep and get scared again. Worst hotel ever. We called staff about the alarm and they weren't willing to accommodate or help us in anyway. Just said they were aware of the problem. TV only has cable and Netflix. No peacock, Hulu, or any other service. LAME. We took the HDMI cord and plugged it into my laptop and watched like that since at least there is free WiFi. One of the elevators were out and the other elevator was super slow. 2 minutes wait time to get in it from floor 4. We asked for a king size bed, it was just me And my husband. We got 2 full size. I want to share a bed with my husband. Not sleep separately. Luckily we slept on the bed farthest from the fire alarm! :) We were by the elevators in room 420 and we could hear the constant beeping. That became more freaky to me since the noise I thought was going to be the alarm. My mind obviously didn't handle the fire alarm well.
Okay the good things very clean and nice inside. Room was clean when we got in. No hair or anything in the bathroom. Good restaurants around the hotel.
But ya. Maybe we got unlucky. Came at the hotel at the wrong time. Nonetheless this is my review. Fire alarm was my biggest problem. Was terrible. So awful. I still have jitters from the whole experience 2 days later. You can call me a wimp or baby. But I have sleeping problems and heart issues. This wasn't okay. I didn't sleep...
Read moreI can genuinely say this is by far the worst hotel experience of my life. I attended this hotel for a convention (like everyone else), and was not impressed from the start. Visiting here, I expected lower price with the cost of lower service... apparently those expectations were too high.
Upon arrival, we found our air conditioning (in southern California) did not work no matter the temperature. We had to call to have it fixed and even then, we were simply told we had to manually control it via the air conditioner like a motel rather than the thermostat.
On our first night, we had a party of 5 and several of us requested Captain Morgan and coke's as a drink at the bar on the base level. Our waiter brought us rum and cokes after our requests which were in fact not Captain Morgan as requested. As a frequent flyer of Captain Morgan, I am very much familiar with the distinct taste. After our waiter returned, I asked for our next round of drinks to actually be Captain Morgan as per our original request since our first drinks were not. The waiter apologized for the confusion and assured it would not happen again. And to our delight, that was the case... for that night.
Two nights later during our stay, we were at the bar once more and the same events occurred. We requested Captain Morgan and coke only to be provided "well" rum and coke (aka lower quality, which isn't saying much since Captain Morgan is not a high standard for rum). After pointing out to our waiter that this was not Captain Morgan as requested, he brought it to the attention of the bartender. Upon return, he assured us that it was in fact Captain Morgan....
I am very much familiar with the taste of Captain Morgan. As were my friends. We were told this WAS in fact Captain Morgan regardless of our thoughts. I explained this exact same scenario occurred only a few nights ago and explained I was very familiar with the taste. This was a white cheap rum of some sorts. The general manager was alerted (away from our table) and said he trusted the bartender.
Not only was our request for Captain Morgan ignored, but I LITERALLY WATCH SOMEONE ELSE REQUEST IT AND BE POURED SOMETHING OTHER THAN CAPTAIN MORGAN!
Aside from the cheap hotel room, poor (and scam-worthy bar service), and the ignorance of the general service, the best part of this hotel was the water as you walked in. I've stayed in some rather poor hotels in my time, but I've literally been in motels better than this.
Spend the extra few bucks. It's...
Read moreWe stayed here for our Disneyland vacation. When I arrived, we had just driven for six hours and didn’t arrive until 12:30 AM. As soon as I walked in to check in the lady at the front desk was extremely unfriendly. I was so tired that I just dismissed her behavior but when I walked by the front desk to bring in my luggage, she saw my service dog who was on a leash and wearing a vest and stopped me very aggressively. Since I have epilepsy and have a service dog, I usually try to stay at a hotel that accepts pets because I feel it’s more respectful and I had read that this hotel does accept pets. When I calmly explained to her that it’s just my service dog not a pet She asked me questions for about 10 minutes, including questions like “are sure that it’s a service dog and not an emotional support animal” and statements like “well since it’s service animal there should never be a reason why the dog should be left in the room”. Because I felt uncomfortable and attacked. I told her that I have no problem showing her my service dogs registration paperwork to end all the nonsense, but she declined and instead forced me to assign some kind of document which I did begrudgingly because I just wanted to get to my room and go to bed. On the morning that we were due to check out, we were woken up at the fire alarm telling us to evacuate the hotel because it was on fire so we did. I noticed the housekeepers were still working and had no urgency to evacuate which I thought was kind of weird but was just focused on getting out of the hotel safely. After standing outside in our pajamas, barefoot for 20 minutes without any staff directing us or giving any information at all, I decided to try to go back up to the room and at least grab our car keys. Upon going back in, I saw other guests that had told me that they went down to the front counter to ask about the evacuation and they were told that it was just a false alarm. They literally have an intercom system for emergencies where they could have told us that it was a false alarm but instead, they did absolutely nothing at all. I would never stay at this hotel ever again and if you have a pet or a service animal, I especially do not...
