La Casa Garcia — Restaurant in Anaheim

My name is Roy Valverde. I am a community leader in the city of Anaheim. I have frequented Casa Garcia for 30 years. Tonight September 30, 2020 @ between 4:30 - 5:30 PM. I was publicaly humiliated by one of the RUDEST waitresses ever. They demanded I wear a mask as I entered cool. I held it to my face as i passed some people, seeing it would take me 15 seconds to get to my seat. As I was about to sit down, with other customers eating and watching she ran to me to lecture me that I disrespected the guests. Toldher, please all I want to do is sit down and eat. There was NO REASON AT ALL for her to keep arguing with me. I WAS AT MY SEAT. Told her if she doesn't stop, I'm leaving and taking my business elsewhere. She said GO! So I threw down the mask on the floor. Told us loud to get out. As we were walking out, she kept on yelling at us, IN FRONT OF THE GUESTS!!! Motioned to her to zip it, because I am a leader and know right from wrong. But She continued not caring, as we walked out the door. FRANK GARCIA. I will never enter your restaurant again. Your servers are a reflection of that manager lady that just stands around rudely quiet, with a mean face. Don't know who she is. That's not good, because its rubbed off on your employees and maybe family? I had a same experience at your ex location on Lincoln, with the young girls running it. No wonder they closed. That wasn't nice of her to do that to me and my wife. But it was cool, because I wanted to go to Los Sanchez anyway. Iv'e taken MANY people to your place in the past, and that wasn't nice. I think you better see WHAT IS GOING ON WITH YOUR "Reputable" diner. Because its not good. MY wife started reading the other reviews and its been going on for a long time. Just saying. Look at the VIDEO OF IT. Find out for yourself. AND NO. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are other good Mexican restaurants in Anaheim and OC with better authentic food. The ONLY thing this place is known for is Menudo, which is not the best in OC....

My husband and I love the food!! It is so delicious!! However what I have noticed about the women servers or waiters, they treat Mexican-Americans rudely and especially the lady with the very short hair cute, (looks like mans hair cut)!! With white people she is so different!! She smiles at them, takes their drinks order almost Immediately after being seated!! My family used to go there often and were very generous on tipping (despite of the racism and bad attitude of the waitress)!! We continued going but after a while our friends and family who we see at gatherings began talking about Casa Garcia Restaurant on Chapman, I listened and stayed quiet because I wanted to hear what they were saying and they were all talking about how they give much better service to White folks versus Mexican people and if you are Mexican speaking in English forget it they ignore you! This is why I’m sharing my experience because they need to treat “ALL PAYING CUSTOMERS EQUALLY “!! We just want to go there and enjoy our food and pass a wonderful morning, after attending a beautiful Sunday morning Mass and enjoy eating our breakfast or Lunch!! But when you get seated and having to wait at the very least 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge that you are waiting for a waiter or waitress then comes the lady with a Cara de poco amigos, my sensitive stomach gets upset and I can hardly eat!! So please take this comment very seriously! Everything I have written is the absolute truth! I want to go back to your restaurant, but management need to pay close attention to what is happening on the floor with their employees and how they are treating their customers!! Food is very very good. I gave it 4 stars only because last week 6/2/17 my Nana called your place and spoke with VERONICA. My Nana asked Veronica if you guys had carnitas tamales and Veronica said yes so my Nana asked her to hold a dozen we would be coming down from Laguna Beach and Veronica said okay, So me and Nana hopped in the car it was a Friday and took us about a hour because of the traffic. Once we got there we told Veronica we were there to pick up our order and she said " oh i just sold them" in a matter of fact tone of voice. Didnt even say she was sorry or anything, Im pissed but in a very nice voice I asked if she had any BEEF TAMALES . Veronica said yes. Fine Ill take a dozen then. OMG!!! I dont know where you found her but she came back with a dozen TACOS. I said I wanted TAMALES and she said "oh I thought you said TACOS and we dont have any tamale left" ..... I asked Veronica can I be speak with the manager and she said she was the manager.... SERIOUSLY!!!! We lefted empty handed because it was just becoming a bad joke talking to her. Drove close to a hour and had to deal with her for customer service pretty bad. Next day i called only because i was in the area and I know how much my Nana whos in her 70s really wanted tamales from your place. This time I spoke with a very lovely girl name MALINA or MALENE who was as sweet as can be over the phone and in person. Today June 9th on Friday I went in on my way home from work and had wonderful customer service from another young girl I think her name was CYNTHIA . Oh and when Veronica saw me today she looked at me and didnt even say hello or anything. So rude.
