My wife and I came in on a Sunday afternoon, at first we were going to have something else originally but my wife and I decided let's get some KBBQ. We googled and we wanted to try some place new. Yellow Cow was the place and we are sure glad we found this place. It wasn't crowded which my wife and I prefer and were seated immediately. We were greeted with such amazing genuine hospitality and service, that we knew we were in the right place. The gentlemen who first took our order was so kind and a absolute delight, I wish I had gotten his name. My wife and I ordered the prime brisket for our 2 options and the quality of the brisket was phenomenal, it also comes with fresh salad & complementary sides. The gentlemen who took our order were also kind enough to lay our meat down on the grill before we started to cook, which I thought was a nice touch of service. The ladies were so sweet and full of love that it was radiating off of them and made us feel so welcomed. When they would come around to our table they made sure we were ok and comfortable and asked how everything was. One of the ladies even gave us some recommendations on how we could incorporate the side dishes with the BBQ which we thought was very thoughtful and pleasant. All in all we are giving the Yellow Cow a 5-star due to everyone's effort, genuineness, service, ambiance & food. I highly recommend if you're looking for all the above. We will be coming back...
Read moreSome of the BEST Korean food I ever had!!! Got Bulgogi lunch set with ssam (lettuce wraps) and soy bean paste soup. Meat was tender and super flavorful, which was balanced nicely by a variety of fresh Korean perilla/napa cabbage/lush green lettuce that comes when you order ssam. The plentiful banchan (side dishes) the lunch set came with were fantastic in taste & presentation! My favorite banchan was the refreshing sweet, spicy tomato one which I think also had some nice vinegar in the base to round out the flavor profile. Their take on myeolchi bokkeum (stir fried anchovies) banchan was also quite fun with the addition of walnuts! Their kimchi fried rice was delicious as well: their choice and acidity of the kimchee paired so well with the gochujang and socarrat from the hot stone dish it was presented in. We also loved their seafood & green onion pancake!!! Best I ever had that I can recall - crispy on the outside with a nice mochi-cake like texture inside + super generous amounts of tender octopus and aromatic green onions. Last but not least, great hospitality from their staff: the aunty hosting lunch kindly came over to double check if we had any allergies before we ordered + our server was very gracious and accommodating in kindly explaining their menu (sometimes my eyes are bigger than my stomach when I’m faced with too many options for good food) 😆 (FYI: there was no wait ~ 11:15 am on a Thursday when...
Read moreQuick review for non-Asians, tourists, and uninformed people like me who are not experts in Korean BBQ. Let's start with the small dishes... Ah, they are delicious... a full variety of things. It's not spicy or overly weird. Quality ingredients, such as mashed potatoes with eggs mixed in, just a small amount. Some vegetables, some rice, neatly presented... Ah, I want to visit Korea now... It's Saturday night, and it's packed. It's loud, but the noise doesn't come from loud music or a loud TV playing football. It's from people, many people, sitting close to each other in groups, talking loudly, and enjoying their company. Not all are Koreans. In fact, my group was all Chinese (I am not), and it's probably like when a German in Europe tries Danish food. Yeah, it's still a different experience. They loved it. Then the meat... You have to try them all, bulgogi too. Ah... I wonder if a carnivore diet is healthy...whi cares , and I enjoy how It's grilled right at your table. The waiters, who are fast and practice ZERO small talk, unlike LA waiters, have mportant tasks: get your table grill gas fire going, flip your meat once in a while, and run around like at an obstacle course. Prices are high, but it's worth it. The beer was delicious, too, a Korean brand. Fun times, great food. The parking lot gets full, but there is street parking. Come with a group, live life ...
