Came here after visiting my family in the area. This spot has been here for years, so why not try it now? Parking: There’s a medium sized parking lot, so finding a spot can be easy. Ambiance/Environment: You can tell this restaurant has been here for a long time. We were greeted right when we entered. It was empty when we visited at 5pm, but it became more busy during their dinner rush. Service: Shout out to Jenny! She was wonderful, quick, & efficient. She’s very knowledgeable about the menu. She does speak English, and there were a couple Spanish speaking servers. You’d self order from the tablet and pay at the end. Menu items: 1) Whole Roast Chicken - I saw this on their social media, so I had to try this also lol. It’s literally a whole chicken. Tasted really good and cooked well. It came with 3 sauces, and it tasted even better. Make sure to dip! This is shareable at least between 3-4 people. 2) Kimchi Fried Rice - My favorite side dish! Sooo delicious! Other than the egg, it doesn’t come with any protein. 3) Bulgogi Fries w/ filled corn cheese - Jenny recommended this to us with corn cheese. Wow! There was a generous amount of bulgogi, and the corn cheese made it even tastier! 4) Seafood & Green Onion Pancake - I love Korean pancakes! There was A LOT of green onions. There were also pieces of shrimp. Could use a bit more shrimp but still good! 5) Spicy Rice Cake w/ ramen noodles - Presentation is on point! There were a generous amount of toppings and sides that came with this! This was a very rich dish. The ramen made it even more fulfilling lol. Make sure to mix everything well! Pricing: My bf and I enjoyed everything! This definitely satisfied our Korean-comfort-food cravings haha! Everything is shareable between 3-4 people, so I’d say it’s worth its price.

A Taste of Korea: Chon Dak in Gardena, CA Nestled in Gardena, Chon Dak takes you on a flavorful journey through Korean cuisine that both surprises and delights. Let's dive into the offerings that left an impression. The Banchan Symphony The side dishes arrive first—a mix of pickled radish, spicy cucumbers, tangy macaroni salad, and crisp cabbage, served on a cafeteria-style tray. It’s like your childhood lunch tray grew up, graduated, and decided to get flavorful. The cucumbers and radish are standouts, offering just the right zing to whet your appetite. Sizzling Bulgogi Magic The main event arrives: a steaming hot plate of bulgogi. It’s sweet, savory, and packs a slight smoky char, with tender beef mingling perfectly with onions and carrots. The sizzling sound alone is enough to make you drool. Pair this with rice, and you’re in for a hearty, satisfying treat. Fried Chicken That Steals the Show But let’s not forget the fried chicken—the true hero here. Half spicy, half original, each piece is fried to golden perfection. The spicy wings deliver a kick that’s just enough to wake up your taste buds, while the original pieces are crispy and satisfyingly juicy. Bonus points for the tangy dipping sauces that add even more layers of flavor. Verdict Chon Dak’s blend of authentic Korean flavors and fun presentation makes it a must-visit for foodies. Whether you’re here for the bulgogi, the chicken, or just a casual feast with friends, this spot doesn’t disappoint. Come hungry; leave happy—and maybe a little addicted to their chicken wings. Rating: 4.5/5 (because you’ll always want just one more bite).

Late night eats and drinks in Los Angeles! This spot is perfect to satisfy late night cravings with korean street/pub food, including tteokbokki, bulgogi fries, fried chicken, alcohol and much more. We ordered the whole fried chicken that they split in front of you. It was juicy, crispy and crunchy and paired nicely with the three sauces provided. The bulgogi fries were topped with corn cheese, which tasted amazing! Its drizzled with similar sauce as the dipping sauce for chicken. The fries were crispy. The green onion and seafood pancake was jam packed with green onions and seafood in every slice. Would have been even better if it was crispier. The tteokbokki with added ramen is such a comfort meal! It has a mild kick to it. They have a parking lot that is shared with some of the small businesses in the plaza. The water is self serve. They have cups and several containers of cold water on the countertops with easy access. You can order and ring for service using the tablet on the table. Overall, a great place to visit after events since they’re open late everyday!

Chon Dak in Gardena, CA, is a Korean gem that has stood the test of time, serving the community for an impressive 23 years. With a dedicated parking lot and a welcoming vibe, this spot is a fantastic choice for any occasion. The dining area feels cozy yet lively, perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a relaxed dinner date.

The menu is extensive, offering something for everyone. On our visit, we were treated to an array of dishes that showcased the restaurant’s mastery of Korean flavors. Here’s what we tried: •Roasted Fried Whole Chicken: Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. •Spicy Kimchi Stew (김치찌개): A comforting bowl with just the right amount of heat and tang. •Cheese Spicy Rice Cake (치즈떡볶이): A must-try for spice lovers who also crave cheesy goodness. •Stir-Fried Bulgogi Fries with Extra Grilled Cheese Corn (불고기+콘치즈 감자튀김): This was indulgent, savory, and worth every calorie! •Kimchi Fried Rice (김치볶음밥): A classic done right with bold flavors. •Grilled Pork Belly (돼지구이): Juicy, smoky, and simply delicious.

The food was flavorful and satisfying across the board, and the portions were generous. Whether you’re looking for a hearty meal or small bites to pair with their wide selection of alcohol, Chon Dak delivers.

Jenny, the owner, adds a personal touch to the experience with her warmth and charm. It’s clear that she takes pride in making every customer feel welcome.

Chon Dak’s late hours (open until 2 AM every day) make it an unbeatable spot for a post-concert or event hangout—especially after a night at SoFi Stadium. Whether you’re in the mood for beer, soju, or even some makgeolli, they’ve got you covered.

Overall, Chon Dak is a fantastic spot for fun times, amazing food, and stellar service. Highly recommend for your...
