Some of the girls in here have a bad attitude. I checked out tonight 10/30 around 8:55 pm. When they made an announcement they were closing soon I tried to hurry and find the bathroom so I could pee and check out. The girl cleaning the bathrooms tonight told me the restrooms were Closed. I said I just need to pee really fast. She said well the toilets have bleach on it. I said I can use the men’s that’s not a problem. She gave me a hard time about that. I said well ur cleaning the women’s and I don’t want to sit on bleach. She goes well I’d rather u use the women’s than me have to mop the men’s bathroom again the floors wet. I can wipe the bleach off. I say ok and I walk in there she tells me to go in the first stall on the right. She hadn’t even cleaned that toilet yet so why did she give me such a hard time in the first place? When I walked to the front to check out after she was complaining to another girl about me and walked away when she saw me. Then when I was scanning the items the second girl that the first complained to was Standing up there. A girl with dark hair that was either Hispanic or white went about to her and was asking who it was? The second girl said the one behind you. Meaning me. So that made it more obvious the girl cleaning the restrooms complained about me to nearly everyone in the store just for having to go pee before I left. After I checked out I decided I was going to say something as I don’t let people treat me that way. I walked back up to the second girl and told her what happened when I went to use the restroom and that I’ve been a store manager in retail for years and never once have I told a customer they can’t use the restroom cuz it’s being cleaned or given them a hard time about it, doesn’t matter if it’s before closing or not. She said she’d talk to her but I doubt it since they all seemed to be gossiping about me like I was in the wrong when the employee was and she was quite rude. Which is why I’m leaving this review. For reference the girl cleaning the restrooms was a young black woman. The second girl the one I saw her complaining to was also a young black women that was slim. As I said earlier there was a third one that went up to the second one asking who she was complaining about that hard dark hair and was white or Hispanic. I love Michael’s stores but this one seems to have a bunch of young woman that are immature rude to customers and into drama and gossip. I also asked the second girl if an item I had grabbed from clearance could be marked down further as it was dirty and I’d need to wash it. There were other items over there similar for the same price but different characters there was only one left of the one I had grabbed. She said no cuz it was on clearance. I’m pretty sure she could’ve marked it down she just didn’t want to help me because of the first girl complaining or also having a bad attitude/not wanting to be bothered. I put the item back and good luck with anyone else buying it in that condition. Ur store needs better closers and those girls needs reminder to treat paying customers with respect. Now, let me preface this by saying I usually love Michael's and have never had a problem with them before. But I went there today to buy 3 packs of seed beads. That's it. There was an employee in the check out area just kind of standing there not appearing to do anything. So I walked up and waited for her to check me out, but after a couple minutes of waiting and her not doing anything I politely asked if she could check me out. She asked me if I was paying cash or card, and I answered card. Then she told me I could use self check out and that she would not check me out. I told her no and that I prefer to have an actual person check me out because it is her job and what she is paid to do. (Whereas I don't support all of the self checkouts replacing and taking away jobs, and I prefer an actual person checking me out where applicable). So a little frustrated I said well it's your job isn't it. And at that she told me that she had other duties AS WELL AS CHECKING PEOPLE OUT. Now I try to be understanding and think of things from others perspectives, but the store was practically empty. I mean the entire time I was in there, I only saw two other customers, and they were together. So I don't see any reason other than laziness for her to have not done her job and checked me out. I was with my mother at the time, and so then she said we would pay cash. And you want to know what this incompetent worker said? She said, and I quote, "I don't feel comfortable". I'm sorry what? You don't feel comfortable doing your job?? Now I would understand if my mother and I were being disrespectful or physical. But no. I am a 16 year old girl, a high-school student. And my mom is almost 60. We obviously aren't very threatening. Especially when I was trying to be as respectful as I could in the moment. I mean I would even encourage management to look at the camera footage. I was so upset that I left without what I came there for. Read morePlaced an order online for same day pickup at 3:30. Their website promises pick up within 2 hours. At 5:30 they hadn't even started on my order but promised me someone would "get right on it" and to come back at 7.
I call at 7:50 to double check the order status before heading back out, I'm told "there was a problem with the order picker not pulling up your order and we didn't know how to fix it, but I've got it fixed right now and someone is working on this." I ask how long I need to wait before heading in since the store closes at 9 .
I'm told 8:30. I arrive at 8:30 and the store manager comes out and has only picked 6 of my 44 items and is expressing that "other orders came first" and is contradicting what his staff told me earlier in the day. Saying "we have to do things in the order we received them".....ok, fine, but then why did the staff say my order was being worked on and when to pick it up.
The manager walks off in a snit telling me "you can just cancel the order." I ask how to cancel the order, he says "wherever you placed it" and doesn't stick around to show me that process.
I go online, there's no way to cancel the order. You have to contact customer service, which of course is closed because of how late it is by this point.
I contact customer service today, and I'm told they can't cancel the order until the manager at the store updates the status of the order. Which he knew I wanted to cancel, so why did he not update the status? That or another customer service agent is lying again.
I used to enjoy shopping at this store. I never had any issues, but now after being lied to and not being able to take items to an event today that people were counting on, I'm beyond frustrated. The fact corporate can't even fix it is insane. Guess I'll stick with...
