Spark by Hilton Savannah South I-95 — Hotel in Georgetown

Ok Guys so this was tough, first 173.00 for one night to not have a, microwave, coffee maker in the rooms, they were ok, yeah it was big but there was no chair to sit in just a computer chair and a stool. I don't won't to have to roll around the floor, and then I like to have a back to lean against so I had to sit on the bed, also, no where on the website or even walking thru the door does it say we have to charge an extra 100.00 so just in case you break something......my husband asked when will we get the 100 back, the guy said now, NOPE, so I could not spend the 100 I had for souvenir and what knots because it was being held by the hotel until two days later!!!!!!! And breakfast should not be called breakfast, bagels is not breakfast. Not for 173.00!!!!? And what did I get other than a place to lay my head? We couldn't even have coffee at 400 in the morning, there were no amenities for that price. And then I realized the picture shows a previous motel 8...WHAT!!! Hell NO ...never ever will I stay at a spark again and shame shame on the Hiltons for having there name on this charging for this and not having the things that other hotels for the same price or cheaper have in there room! Your website is very misleading and so is the hotel people! And oh I forgot if I had known it was 4.00 a bottle water that you up charged, I would had walked across the street...

Stayed 4/20/25 for 1 night with 2 dogs in room 219.

Hotel had recently been remodeled. At first glance appeared pretty nice. Upon closer look hotel flooring had large gaps in some of the planks and the flooring didn't run all the way under the mounting or door jams in some areas. Looks like a rushed job.

The biggest issue was the shower did not have any hot/warm water despite the sink having very hot water. There appeared to be an issue with the faucet mixing valve. (Again, probably because of the rushed remodel.)

Also the room had large streaks of a redish/brown substance in front of the bed that I ended up covering up with a towel for the night and a large splash of a similar sibstance on the wall. The shower had 2 black hairs in it.

The bed was comfortable and clean, and I did not see any cockroaches or bedbugs.

Had the room been cleaned properly and the shower had hot water I would have overlooked the crappy construction and given this 3.5 to 4 stars.

I did report the lack of hot water to the hotel front desk upon checkout. She said thanks for letting us know and that was it. No I'm sorry. No let me give you 10% off the room for your cold shower. Nothing.

I had booked a stay with Spark because it was conveniently minutes away from a wedding that I would be attending. Once I arrived around noon, I felt the receptionist not only didn't give me a proper welcome, but told me that I could not check in until 3 pm because rooms were not ready. Even if that's true it would've been nice if she offered some alternatives or things to do in the area. Then once the time came for me to check in, I was told that while the hotel is dog friendly, they could not be left in the room unattended. This was a huge inconvenience because, I was exhausted and ready to go and rest after traveling for over 4 hours with my dog, and it would affect my chances of attending the wedding unless I found another hotel with availability and didn't have that strict policy. They canceled my reservation and waived the fee which I appreciated, but they still didn't show enough empathy and did not apologize for the hassle I was put through. Although, I managed to find another place, it was now more than minutes away from the venue. Not bad, but I was looking forward to...
