I had just gotten off work it was 1am, not many places open besides waffle House and IHOP so I decided to give IHOP a shot. I placed an online order at 1:17am I arrived at 1:30am when I went inside to pick up my order the cashier seemed confused and told me they didn't have my order and I must have mistakenly ordered at another location, I pulled out my phone to show her the order confirmation, while I was doing that I happened to look down at the counter and i see a receipt with my name on it and my order so i picked the receipt up and explained to her that was my order, she looked at the receipt still confused than told me it would be a twenty minute wait because they didn't see the order come in. I decided to wait in the car till my order was done, I returned in twenty minutes my order was ready. I ordered two burgers with fries one for me one for my wife and a side of sausage links, when I got home and bit into the burger it was raw in the middle, I asked my wife to check her burger and hers was raw in the middle as well. My wife and I don't eat undercooked meat so we decided to just eat the fries. I opened the box with my sausage links and I could immediately see they were burnt which I thought might still be ok I mean at least they didn't undercook the pork, I bit into one of the links and it was extremely hard and chewy so I ended up throwing those out as well. I get that late night food can be hit or miss usually a miss so I blame myself for taking the chance in the first place but what pissed me off the most is the fact that they had zero dine in costumers and a few take out orders as far as I could see so I really don't understand why the food and service was so bad, I've worked in restaurants for over 15 years and I know that when it's slow you should provide the best food and service you can because that's how you maintain repeat customers on slower days. I live bout an hour away and since it was 2:30am by the time I got home I didn't bother to return it. I drive past this IHOP everyday and I never see a full parking lot and now I fully understand why, needless to say I will not be returning to this IHOP again at any...
Read moreThe service here is AWFUL! This was my first time visiting Savannah GA, and i had no idea how racist people still are here. I decided to go to IHOP to eat breakfast with my husband and two young children. I was told we had about a 5 minute wait…after waiting about 10 minutes already to even be addressed. But that’s not the issue, I saw they were busy. After another 30 minutes, I go up to check on the status of our table and see that our name is next on the list to be seated. I ask about the wait time and was dismissed by a server who decided to instead address a white woman who had just walked in maybe 3 minutes ago. The woman asks for a table (mind you, she is not even on the list because she just walked in, and there are about 7 more names after mine one the list) and he sits her IMMEDIATELY - because there are several open tables - while there is a lobby full of non-white customers who have been waiting for over 30 minutes. I draw this employee’s attention to my name on the list and everyone else who has been waiting and he says that he sat her because he just wants to clear the lobby… and still sits her before anyone else whose name is already listed. I speak to several other employees about this, including the assistant manager who says that the kitchen is backed up so it will still be about 15 minutes before we can be seated… After making a fuss, we were seated, but after having to advocate for our right to be serviced, I no longer felt comfortable eating here. Some of the other staff were trying to be kind and accommodate us for our inconvenience, but the damage had already been done. I understand wait times and when establishments are busy, but I have never blatantly been treated that way. Actually turned me off of IHOP in general. I requested a hot tea (to calm my spirit) and a bowl of fruit for my toddler and we decided to...
Read moreLong story short, this place suck! The manager was rude and the server was no where to be found! We had other servers come to do table touches. We had a party of 12. We ordered our food, got drinks and the food began to come out with the kid's first and the adults 10 mins later. First of all, if all the food was not ready at once, why serve any of it. The kids ate all their food and had to watch us eat ours as it came out one by one. I asked for warm syrup and didn't get it. She tried making up an excuse that it was in the mic when the lights went off! NOT! An omelette was cold bc the cheese wasn't melted on it. The all you can eat pancake deal with the omelette and 2 meat one egg deal. Didn't get the all you can eat pancakes. Was M.I.A for so long that we didn't get a chance to partake in the that deal. A ham melt came out with bacon no ham. A kid Chocolate pancake came out as a pancake with choco chips. It was a mess. OH YEA! The lights went out for a good 30 mins, 15 mins into eating. I asked for a discount if it was 10% and the manager said, "I'm not gonna give you a discount for the act of God". First off, that was rude and I clearly had other issues beside the lights. Didn't bother to ask, just focusing on getting their money. Then I said "I didn't eat". He said, I definitely don't give discounts for scraps". He should be fired and the server needs more training!
Food looks exceptional, right?! NOT!!! It was SUPER COLD! The butter didn't melt on pancakes. Eggs tasted liked they were scrambled in the microwave. Ham was ham. I had something stuck to the inside of my water glass. Grits were luke warm.... Oh yea, hashbrowns weren't cooked well🤷🏽♀️ Server Timmesha was very sweet and...
