If I could give zero stars I would. My friends and I were passing through after spending a night in Savannah for the first time. They were undeniably busy this morning as it is Sunday after church. Service was slow, it took the server 15 minutes to come acknowledge us after we sat, just to say he’ll be right back to get our drink orders. That be right back turned into another 10 minutes of waiting and watching him serve everyone around us. He came back sassy and half assed apologetic. He took our drink orders and food orders at the same time, forgot half of our drinks and had an attitude when I asked for a fresh cup of coffee because my boyfriend’s coffee tasted weak. He brought us the bill before bringing out to go boxes that we had to continuously ask for. He acknowledged my boyfriend and our friends with grace and acknowledged me with sass and ignorance. Perhaps because I was the only one from our group speaking up and asking for the items he forgot.
While I was in line waiting to pay for our meal, my boyfriend was walking around the store at all the nostalgic treasures Cracker Barrel is known offer showing our friends. Birgit walks up to him out of no where and asks him if he’s going to pay for it. To which he said “no I’m just showing my friend”. Birgit says, “oh okay” and walks away temporarily before proceeding to follow him all around the store. It’s so said to hear about racial profiling and then to experience it first hand in times where we’re supposed to be for far passed this issue. I paid for our food and left. My boyfriend is so upset and it was really the cherry on top of a great weekend. Birgit, I’m disappointed in you, especially for your age. I’m sorry you worked your whole life at Cracker Barrel and you have nothing else to do besides racially profile young black excellence passing through your...
Read moreI recently visited Cracker Barrel and had the pleasure of meeting the most amazing person—Tamika Foster. From the moment I walked in, she gave me a warm, personalized greeting that was welcoming, kind, and sweet. Her energy was so positive that I instantly felt excited about my experience.
When she asked what I was there for, I told her I was ordering takeout. She immediately arranged for a server to assist me and ensured my order was taken promptly. Afterward, she kindly let me know that I could shop around or sit and wait for my food. I chose to step outside for a few minutes.
About 10 minutes later, as my server had estimated, I returned to pick up my food. While I was paying, another friendly staff member even took the time to show me what was on sale in the store, which led me to grab some chocolate.
However, when my server came back, they informed me that my original order was unavailable. They offered an alternative, but since it wasn’t what I originally wanted and I had already waited, I asked if they could do something to make up for the inconvenience. The kitchen manager declined.
At that point, I asked for Tamika, and she immediately took charge. She went above and beyond, personally ensuring I received my order in less than five minutes. She apologized sincerely and made sure my experience didn’t end on a bad note. Tamika was determined that my second visit—especially after a not-so-great first experience—would be a positive one.
I truly appreciate Tamika’s outstanding customer service and dedication. If you visit Cracker Barrel, I highly recommend asking for her—she is top-notch and provides five-star service. She made all the difference in my experience, and I can't thank her...
Read moreMe and my hubby just walked out of The Cracker Barrel located on Abercorn 204. Was looking forward to a good hot breakfast. Wait time wasn't long at all. We were seated right away. Placed our orders and ordered 2 cups of coffee. We waited so long on our food, even after 2 refills the coffee stayed warm. There was a white elderly couple who came after us and they were served before us!! There was an elderly man sitting ahead of us that came in after the elderly couple and he was served before us as well. They thougth they could stalI us to stick around by refillng our cups with lukewarm coffee every 5 minutes. If all I wanted was coffee for lunch, I would have went to Starbucks!! I addressed this with the manager. She did listen to the complaint and offered to let us take some food to go. I declined. I already had been there over 35 minutes waiting while other people come in after me and get served before me!! I felt like I was being served during the 60s but that's another story. I left hungry, annoyed and irritated! Ya'll got to do better! No way a customer whose been there first should be still waiting while others are coming afterwards getting their food right away!! Will not be returning and I will be posting this on Facebook as well. I guess I have to be white or a senior citizen to get my food on time!! Went to the one in Pooler they weren't no better!!!!! I explained to the manager my bad experience at the Abercorn he assured me he would make my experience much better. The food was slow and cold! At this point no more Cracker Barrel for me I'm done!!
FYI: Emailed them and no response and they do not care about...
