This hotel is absolutely horrible! My friends and I arrived Friday March 17 for St Patrick day weekend. Upon check-in we immediately experienced issues. Our room was not clean and pubic hair was visible in the shower. We also requested towels and washcloths and was told to come get them ourselves due to it only being one person at the front desk, and when that happens they can't leave. That was told to us by management. However, at the time we requested those items, two people were at the front desk so it was no reason for us to be told that. At 3 am on Saturday morning, It was a loud argument that took place on our floor that lasted two hours. We alerted the front desk that morning of the incident and she informed us that the staff the night before said the night was smooth. Also, it was told to us we should have called the police. First of all, that's not my job, if anything that's the job of the hotel regarding safety. Our room was never cleaned nor was our linen changed the two night's we spent there. Lastly, when we returned from dinner, we asked the front desk for some towels and washcloths again and was told by the front desk said " I'm gone tell you right now, we don't have any clean towels. And I don't know if housekeeping worked last night." At that point I was done! Never have I experienced such horrible service and treatment in my life! How you not know what went on on the previous shift before you take over?? Shouldn't there be logs or notes left by the previous employee or a conversation to know what you are walking into?? Another thing that urked me, Sunday morning while my friend and I were getting our things together to check out, we hear knocking on the door from staff. It was around 10 am in the morning basically rushing us out. Funny how staff want to show up to work now! When I returned home that night, I later found out on their website that check out was not until 12 noon so it wasn't no reason for us to have been forced out by the staff. Also let me mention that the young lady at the front desk that worked at night was not concerned about the guests at all, she was too busy entertaining her company because when we came in each night, he was always there. She would jump up and go to the front desk when she saw us. Trust if it was other options, we would of left! But due to it being St Patrick day weekend and this was the first official celebration since COVID, majority of places were booked. The whole experience was just awful!! I strongly advise anyone that reads this review, please look at other options regarding hotels! I wish I could give this place zero stars because they truly deserve that! I will NEVER...
Read moreWe always stay at Marriott when we travel, this specific Springhill Suites, we will make sure to add to the list of places NOT to visit again.
Upon check in, no room keys were available and was told it was because the system was down. This should have been a sign as everyday are cards were deactivated and had to request new cards everyday.
We had issues with the TV and told the employee who came and dropped out keys off. She stated she would have someone come up to the room, they never showed up. Thankfully the TV started to work.
The sofa bottom bed was dirty, there crumbs all over the mattress as if it was never cleaned. The sheets, pillows, and blankets for the sofa beds were not in the room. When I went to the front desk to ask they only gave me 1 set even though I asked for sheets for both beds. There were no additional pillows available either and I was told it was because of "technical difficulties."
The reservation I made was for five guests, but only three towels were provided in the room. I would expect with a reservation made, they would have everything ready in the room for the amount of guest listed on the reservation.
It appears the mattress fitted sheets were to small for the bed because it kept coming off. Some sheets and pillow cases had stains on them.
There's only one TV in the suite; not the best view from furthest bed position, especially if you are sharing the bed. (see picture)
There's are only two drawers in the suite to put away clothes.
The view from our window was of a cement block.
There was no bath soap in the dispenser, it was completely empty.
There is not a safe in the room to lock up your valuables.
The satellite cable in the room was OK; if you touch the TV or TV stand, it would cause it to freeze.
There is a microwave in the room, but no utensils or plates were provided.
The outlets do not work well... we attempted to plug our phone chargers in and it seemed as if the plug did not sit well and was loose. The USB ports were not strong enough to charge our phones (Google Pixel 8 Pro).
Each night we came back to our room or key card did not work; It was not kept next to our phone or anything magnetic as I know it can cause it to deactivate.
I requested for clean towels at the front desk and was asked how many is in our suite, I responded 5 and was given 4 clean towels.
The gym was small but was useful with dumbbells from 5 to 50lbs and a bench. There were 2 treadmills and 1 elliptical.
The continental breakfast was good. The coffee was OK, they did not offer regular creamer but there was milk for cereal that could be...
Read moreAbsolutely one of the worst stays in my adult life, and it has to fall on the hands of the General Manager! An absolute disgrace to the Marriott brand, and they should seek to dissociate themselves with this establishment. Unmasked associates despite instructions for guests to mask up properly, covering noses and mouths. Despite the necessary COVID precautions that should be in place, multiple rooms were unclean and filthy. Six hours after standard check-in time, rooms had not been addressed for new guests. Areas around sinks not wiped down and disinfected. Sinks and toilets not cleaned and disinfected. Shower stalls and tubs not cleaned and disinfected. Ceiling pieces falling down, from around the curtains. Visible stains on the wall. Television sets unplugged and filthy stains on the television stands. Unswept and uncarpeted floors. Debris and trash under the pull-out couch and swept under the ottomans. And this was not one room, but multiple rooms. After two futile attempts at cleanliness, we immediately checked out of the establishment. I went to an adjacent Marriott property, seeking a room and explaining why we had left the previous property. Their associates seemed disgusted that we experienced such an awful experience. They felt disappointed that they, as the Marriott family, were attached to such a failure as an establishment. After no luck procuring a room there, we decided to drive the remaining 4.5 hours home, despite it being well past our children's bedtimes, getting home late into the night. Immediately, the next morning I contacted and filed a complaint against this establishment and its General Manager. I also told them that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau on the establishment and its General Manager. I believe he is personally responsible for the level of uncleanliness at his establishment, despite the utter importance in COVID times. I believe he is banking on the Marriott name, instead of the importance of doing good for his patrons. I asked to speak to him personally that evening and multiple associates expressed that he did not like to be bothered or disturbed on weekends, despite that being the highest influx of travelers at his properties. Ultimately, I highly recommend that you and no one you know stays at this establishment and that we do everything we can to hold it and its propertier accountable for their negligence and mistrust of valued principles of customer services. It is a shame to all...
