Worst Best Western Stay Ever.........made reservations two months before stay, checking to make sure all would be in order as I am physically disabled. Long story short, the Handicap Room 116 is inaccessible because the bathroom door can only open 45 degrees (because of closet door immediately adjacent/we gave up trying to use the closet as a result) and has to be propped open which means in a wheelchair or with a walker you have to maneuver next to the wall and the end of the door to get to the bathroom. The door will close (if not propped open) but then it will not be possible for me to open to get in. This was the biggest problem, along with the ADA acceptable two grab bars at the toilet....the left/wall and across the back....who can use the back grab bar? I extended my right arm and could not reach the sink counter......I had to be helped by my caregiver each time so as not to fall. Whoever deems ADA acceptable was not disabled in a w/c or with a walker! Many other room glitches but these two were the biggest problems, plus no manager on site or available. I came for a local event and assumed all would go well. It didn't and I would not recommend to others, especially if handicapped. On site staff were helpful, but could not solve the door and grab...
Read moreHorrible experience. I paid for 2 nights. The first night there was no issue, the second day I was booked in a room with hardwood floors, me having a bad experience with hardwood floors, I asked to change room and I was moved to a room that smelled like an ash tray. Very strong cigarette smell. They told us the only room available with carpet was that room. Weighting the options and decided to take it. The next day the front desk lady and her manager claimed to accidently dropped my security deposit into the safe and to come back tomorrow. This was not an option for me I needed my security deposit back. After 15 minutes of going back and forth she changed her story, told me there were complaints about cigarette smoke in the room. I was completely dumbfounded. They basically robbed me, and instead of social maturity in talking with the customer, the front desk girl cowarded and went to the back to called the police to ask us to leave. I work hard for every dollar I make and I commuted pretty far, and these people think they can just take my money. I'm not...
Read moreThis is the worst BW Ive ever stayed in. The toilet was broken. They did not have AC in the lobby even though it was over 100 outside. I felt sorry for the staff but was also uncomfortable for those in the lobby checking in. My biggest complaint this stay ( and every time Ive stayed there's been an issue), was the owner refused to allow me to change dates because of an illness. Even though it was a week out, they would not accommodate a change. As we couldn't afford to pay for this hotel and another, we kept the dates and my wife had to travel while she was ill (recovering from Covid). The staff working there were nice but the owner clearly cares neither about their guests or the staff. There a re plenty of other BWs in the area and I will avoid this one at all costs. The one in San Dimas is nearby and better located too -- there are lots of good restaurants right across the street. Next time we come to visit our daughter we will stay there. Im a "Diamond" level member of BW and stay at many and never experienced the lack of care this...
