Yesterday I went to the drive thru pharmacy and the employee by the name of Carmen helped me. It was the worse experience I have had picking up my prescriptions. First, when she came to the window you could just tell it wasn't going to be a pleasant experience. She looked like she was already having a bad day. I had 2 prescriptions to pick up, when she gave me my prescriptions she only gave me 1 so I asked her about the second prescription. She seemed upset that I had asked about it, she looked on the computer and went what I assume to get it. She is talking but I couldn't see her and she ask me if my doctor has retired, I told her no he is still practicing. She than tells me that she could not give me my prescription because when she submitted to my insurance for payment they declined to pay it bc they show my doctor's license is not active. I told her but I got a text message stating that specific prescription was available for pick up. She said well yeah its available but I can't give it to you. That text was to let you know we have it but your insurance is not going to cover it. Frustrated and upset bc I would think if I am getting a text for pick up that should mean my insurance was already verified and good to go. So I left since she said she couldn't give me my prescription. About 5 mins later I get a call from Carmen telling me that the pharmacist corrected it and my prescription is ready for pick up. I told her how inconvenient is it that I just came from there to pick it up and you said you couldn't give it to me? She than started getting really rude and had so much attitude saying well you left. Of course I left why wouldn't I you told me you couldn't give me my prescription. She continue to be rude and go on about how it was my felt. If she would have told me let me check on something or let me ask the pharmacist I would have stayed and waited but she told me she COULD NOT GIVE ME MY PRESCRIPTION. As a new mom, my progressive lupus, and my husband having to travel often for work it is hard to go out and do things. It just so happened my mom came by and I was able to run a few errands. So this is not just the employee was rude and couldn't do her job, this is an inconvenience and I shouldn't have to be dealing with this. I hope this is seen by the manager and this issue is corrected bc this should not be happening. And if an employee does not know how to verify insurance they shouldn't...

This Walgreens pharmacy is a cesspool of bias and contempt. The pharmacists here don’t just fail at basic respect—they actively weaponize their position with racist suspicion, accusatory questions, and curt, dismissive treatment that makes it crystal clear: they see certain people as less than.
Every word, every tone, every delay in my care dripped with disdain. This wasn’t an “inconvenience”—this was deliberate obstruction fueled by prejudice. My medication was delayed, not because of logistics, but because these pharmacists couldn’t be bothered to treat me with dignity. They could not care less if their racist arrogance puts lives at risk.
If this is how they represent the Walgreens name, and it is allowed, I am done with this company forever. I will also share widely within my network how I was treated, and encourage others to find other options for their pharmacy needs. This place does not deserve customers, community trust, or even to exist. May this trash heap of a pharmacy shut its doors for good, because racism has no place...
Read moreWent to get my covid vaccine. First off they were late giving me my vaccine when I arrived 15 mins before the appointment time. Had me fill out the same paperwork that's online. Why do it online if I had redo it at the appt?? Pharmacist puts her gloves on in the other room. Touches stuff including 2 door knobs with the gloves on. Then calls me into the patient room and starts to prepare my injection. When I asked her to change the gloves she says this is a supposed to be clean not sterile and I am cleaning the site with alcohol. I told her I know that but she still touched a bunch of stuff before coming in the health room. I had to ask 3 times for her to change them. She seemed irritated that I asked her to change her gloves. Walgreens management needs to have some trainings for their staff. Door knobs are disgusting and for her to think that her gloves were clean is absurd! I hope they offer the staff some trainings! It's clearly needed....
