It's a small corner park with a very old, very big, historical tree. Anyone having grown up in the area is familiar with the tree and probably has memories of spending time there with friends as youths. Not a big place, has two (3?) cement picnic tables, a gazebo, some aesthetically placed walks and plants, and of course, the big tree with historical marker. What was once just a corner lot is now a nice place to come and eat lunch, sit and talk or possibly spend time reading in the gazebo there. No playground and parking...

Love coming to this park to enjoy our coffee. It should be noted that this is a SMALL park with a few picnic tables and one big tree. (I find it necessary to explain this after running into a lady who drove so far to come here thinking it was a big park with many trees. Poor thing!) The tree is beautiful. There is a sign warning about the local wildlife (coyotes, bears, etc.) so keep your pets leashed and your little ones well...

Awesome! Nature at its best! Very odd sight to behold. As a kid or as an adult, when you first catch sight of this magnificent oddity you'll be left speechless! Very fun to climb onto and into. Park is very tiny which makes the tree itself seem bigger than the park, and best of all, it sits in a very nice neighborhood. Bring the kids, bring the family and take some really cool pictures.. Have fun! Merry Christmas and a...

🌳 This is Glendora’s “Big Tree” — and yes, that’s actually what locals call it. Planted in the late 1880s by Edgar J. Owens, one of Glendora’s early residents, this Moreton Bay Fig now stands about 99 feet tall and 47 feet wide, with roots so big they look like something out of a storybook. The city turned the land into Big Tree Park back in the 70s, and today it’s got a gazebo, drought-tolerant landscaping, and plenty of space to just take it all in. The video doesn’t do it justice — I definitely need to come back and bring my kids. 💜 #BigTreePark #GlendoraCA #HiddenGemsLA #ThingsToDoInGlendora #CaliforniaParks

Picked up some lunch at the nearby eeze sushi down the street, decided to look for a nearby park to enjoy our lunch. Spotted this little park on Google Maps and what a great find it it is! Centered around an enormous Australian Moreton Bay fig tree planted in the 1880s, we enjoyed a nice meal under its shady branches, which extends out 110 feet from its enormous and complex trunk. Delightful!

That is a pretty big tree. Impressive to behold. The roots have so much character and it's so climbable - there's even bumps in the trunk as if made for stepping. And if you fall out, there's a hospital across the street! Talk about convenience. The small garden is lovely and the gazebo is really nice, but those are more afterthoughts than anything. Very calming place, worth seeing.
