Michaels — Local services in Grand Junction

Store is clean and well staffed but prices seem overinflated considering the number of competitors in the area. Several visits in this location have resulted in me not buying anything. I can look online, find an item it says It has in stock, get to the store, and NONE of the sale prices are marked. Things are listed at full price and you have to go through the checkout to find out what it rings up. I could understand if it was late Saturday evening and the old sale tags were taken down in preparation for Sunday's sale but it was Friday morning and items listed for sale at $13 were priced regularly at $22. Needless to say, I did not purchase them. Checkout seems to be an issue when one particular lady is there. Today (7/15/19) I went to checkout to find her on her cellphone and seemingly irritated that I needed her attention. In her defense I did not see the online pick up signs directing me to the framing department for pickup but who has you pick up at the framing department?? When I asked her she said at custom framing so I playfully acted exasperated at the thought that I’d walked the entire store and would have to go to the back and her response was a very curt “well that’s what the sign says.” Okay, fair enough but let’s not be tacky. Today, was the first time I have had a bad experience at this Michaels. I had a coupon for 15% off, even sale items. I even told Tina before she started to ring the items in. I showed her the coupon that was on my phone, she said that it wasn't working. I asked her why, she gave me an attitude, and said she didn't know. She asked her co-worker, that pretended to be the manager because his badge did not say manager on it. He told her to redo everything and put the 15% off on each item. She refused! The so-called manager said that she was tired and that she misunderstood what she needed to do. But, he didn't want to make excuses for her. Well, you just did and I still didn't get my 15% off my items today. Guess I will be doing business with Hobby...

I have to admit I'm very disappointed every time I've walked in the store if it were not for the good help I wouldn't return they have some good people that work there but the products are too highly priced and not enough of them their display is terrible you have to crawl on the floor in order to look at Material or products this is very encumbering to the person buying the product I would recommend Hobby Lobby we need a new art supply store like artist Haven used to be for the artist they had better products ones that lasted longer it was like having Dick Blick right here on the sidewalk readily available Michaels is out of the way difficult to deal with hoping for something better that's why they only got...
