There’s a reason these guys have such high ratings! I went to Verizon trying to replace a broken phone and buy a refurbished one. Turns out they don’t sell refurbished phones in the store and gave me the run around and treated me like garbage for not just entering a contract and spending more than I was wanting.

I left Verizon angry and called an authorized dealer in town and they referred me to Nerd Tap. I was concerned about having never heard the name but didn’t trust the stores on north avenue so I called and they had what I was looking for.

When I arrived, I spoke with Damon and he said they didn’t actually have the phone (oh no, the run around again?!), but he was mistaken and they had the phone. The problem was that the phone has some cosmetic damage and it wasn’t selling and he felt bad I’d been quoted this phone. He ended up selling it to me for $70 less than I was quoted.

First, I want to thank Damon for recovering important files and photos from an outdated cellphone I used to store info. Without his knowledge and expertise all would have been lost! The cell was an outdated Amazon Fire phone. The info on the cell was collected over the last six years. It was not connected to an internet service, so I believed it to a secure storage devise with passwords and family photos. But, one day the cell would not boot, and all was lost. I went to 3 shops in my town and all said they had no idea how to troubleshoot a Fire phone. Nerd tap in GJT had done some previous work for me. I was in GJT for business and went by to speak with Damon. I told him I wanted the files on the cell but had limited funds to spend. We agreed on an amount to reach and then, if more funds were needed, Damon would call for authorization. Damon followed my wishes every step of the process! I would give this place 6 stars if I could! My iPhone XS completely crapped out on me on Sunday. I went to the Verizon store 5 times, Best Buy twice, and the phone medic at the mall. I spent a solid 10 hours troubleshooting and seeking help from apple support online. No one could help me or fix my phone. I went to Nerdtap. I didn’t think they would be able to fix my phone but Tony helped me. Not only was Tony professional and pleasant, but he was extremely well versed with the different components of my phone. In a few hours Tony called me and not only told me specifically what piece of hardware was broken and it’s function, but how the surrounding components were affected by the broken piece. I was absolutely blown away with his knowledge and skillfulness. He also accurately diagnosed what caused the problem (faulty screen replacement and missing hardware because of that).
