We recently stayed here for a quick visit while our plumbing was being redone, and we couldnât have had a better experience. We have a particularly large crowd, so it isnât new to us to have to get more towels, forget something, and/or just being generally hyper and rambunctious (kids). Upon arrival, we first were told the rooms (we had connecting rooms) werenât quite finished yet despite us waiting an hour after check in to arrive; however, the front desk staff went out of his way to get ahold of the cleaning crew and to our delight our rooms had just been finished! Our rooms were fresh, cool temperatures, and we had more than enough towels to start off with! We could definitely tell they were just turned over :) Our kids LOVED the pool/waterslide! The convenience shop at the front desk served a purpose as well when our herd wanted some snacks, and one forgot a toothbrush :) We also purchased the breakfast, and the breakfast potatoes were the best Iâve ever had! This is one of the nicer holiday inn hotels weâve stayed at, without a doubt.
A few direct shoutouts to some staff: Frank was so patient and kind when we utilized the store at the front desk. He was friendly and attentive and very helpful!
A young lady that works the front desk was amazing! I wish I got her name (she had some ear piercings in her right ear and reddish brown hair) She was tremendously helpful with all my questions and never seemed to get frustrated with me or the kids!
And last, Miguel! Miguel is SUCH an asset to this hotel when it comes to attentive staff, prompt, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He was the desk staff that went out of his way to get the status of our rooms upon arrival, as well as letting me know that sometimes the key cards can deactivate if theyâre too close to other devices and to just come down to the desk if we needed more made, as well as all the hotel information, restaurant information for the hotel, and it was really nice that when we saw his friendly face around the hotel, he smiled and gave SUCH a big wave EVERY time, and it really felt nice to not feel overlooked as a guest which happens often with hotels
You wonât go wrong booking...

The gist: we paid (more than enough money) for a service promised by the hotel which they refused to provide, and are refusing to refund us for. Please do not book this hotel if you are relying on the shuttle.
My husband, 10-month-old, and I booked this hotel due to their confirmation of a 3am shuttle to the airport. There were others to choose from but they said they could take us to the airport at 3am. We were only going to stay there for about 7 hours before the shuttle. Upon checking in we asked to confirm that our shuttle was indeed going to be there at 3am. They said no, and that the best they can do is 4:30am. They tried to argue that this was enough time to make our flight. We most likely would have missed it as we would have had to install the carseat, load luggage, get to the airport, uninstall the carseart, unload the luggage, get through security, and on the plane in less than 1 hour. We had to arrange for a taxi due to their failure to keep their word. We requested a refund due to their dishonesty, which they have refused. After reaching out to customer service multiple times over the course of about 3 weeks and being told that the hotel would get back to us (which they never did), they finally confirmed that they refuse to issue a refund. According to them, this is due to us refusing the shuttle they offered. Yes, the very same shuttle that would have made us late for our flight. Imagine if we hadn't asked to confirm at check-in. Our family would have been waiting for the promised shuttle in the lobby at 2:45am. They should be ashamed of themselves. We were effectively swindled out of our money, as they did not provide the service which we paid for. It is quite pathetic that they don't want to make this right.
Also, the shower...
Read moreCheck-in experience was great. Friendly and helpful staff, prompt service. The room was spacious and for the most part clean (washroom was the exception). The washroom was inundated with small black flies. Unsure where they were coming from. My room was on the front entrance side of the building, which means that you get to hear trains black their horn going through a nearby crossing. This happens multiple times over the night, and since there's not much sound-proofing, its loud and disruptive. I suspect rooms located on the opposite side of the building would be much better. There's no view to be had, so actual room location is somewhat irrelevant aside from sound isolation. The breakfast location provides decent meals in a reasonable amount of time, but a bit over-priced for the local market. The same kitchen prepared lunch and dinner meals that are served in the bar, and those are both horrid and very expensive. Example: I ordered a steak that was supposed to come with creamed potatoes. The "steak" was a chunk cut off the end of a roast in an attempt to pass it off as a sirloin. The creamed potatoes were more like soup. Way, way too wet. You literally couldn't pick it up with a fork it was so runny. So, like my title states, it's an okay place to stay, with caveats: the room rates are quite good, and overall the room was spacious and clean (except the washroom fly issue) get a room on the side opposite the front entrance for a quieter sleep experience breakfast dining is okay and convenient do not buy lunch or dinner at the bar/restaurant NB They have signage up that they're getting a Tony Roma's restaurant in the hotel. When that is in operation, I strongly suspect the lunch and dinner dining options are going to...
