The staff made an error on my bill, I paid most of my stay in cash, but I left my Capital One card on file for them for any incidentals. They then charged my card for two rooms also. When I tried to pay for another night we decided to stay for in cash there was a credit and they did not know why. I was told no problem go have a good day and we will take care of this later. I only wanted one room that night. I got back to a very disrespectful manager leaving several messages on my phone. They also tried forcing me to pay for the other room that I no longer needed. I said no way, I was told this would be taken care of later, I had to be gone for the day and I am not paying for an empty room! My daughter had stayed at her new home once we finished moving her in that day. I did win that battle after I finally spoke to her but then she not only did NOT apologize for the mistake THEY MADE she continued to insult me and my family. We had two rooms while we were moving my daughter to the area. I had my grandchildren with me for most of the time. She complained about them having too much fun in the pool! She said they could be heard too much at the front desk. Well then do not put the pool right beside the front desk area! Kids are going to make noise in there and it echos. Not their fault! Then she said a MAID complained my youngest grandson had no pants on. He was locked out of his room and was in a tee shirt and underwear with a blanket around him he drags everywhere, he is only 8! And he was just going down to the other room to get pj pants from his mom. Then they tried to complain about my service dogs. But I have their registration cards and they were NEVER, not once off leashes. And we took them in and out of the hotel's side doors as to not cause any issues with other guests. But the manager was extremely rude about it and smart mouthed me. I had to ask her several times if I could speak because she was ranting so much. It was ridiculous. I have stayed in many hotels and just to take the kids swimming sometimes. This was no way to treat a guest who spent $500. in cash at your hotel. (Would have been even more had they not run me out with their rudeness.) I ended up renting a room across the street at the Holiday Inn the last night of our trip! Kelly the manager over there could not believe the issues. We enjoyed our stay there and were treated like royalty! The beds are very uncomfortable too at the Comfort Inn, I had to go buy a mattress pad to sleep comfortably until we got to Holiday Inn, the beds were great there. I also told them on 3 occasions the hot tub would not stay shut. We had to hold a washrag on it while in the water. Not to enjoyable, and they did not care. The breakfast was cheap and the eggs were watery and nasty. I usually do not complain but this stay deserves the complaints. And I am a writer and a blogger so they should be more careful who they treat badly. Never had this issue before at any other Comfort Inns I have stayed at. In fact the one in Okemos, Mi. was my favorite hotel for years and years. They sold it however. But this one in Greenville, Ohio needs an attitude adjustment big time. And a few other things. The TV's had to stay on all night with a glow to the screen, not very helpful trying to sleep. The maintenance man was very nice about it however which he was a pleasant surprise at least. The night girl was pleasant as well who worked the front desk. But the rest was a...
Read moreWas in town for family function. Rooms were reserved in a block for us and yet we had issues. In the bathroom, the toilet seat was dirty, the sink had dark black hairs in it, the tub had more of the same, the floor was dirty. The shower screeched every time we used it loud enough that you could hear it down the hall and when it wasn't in use it dripped. The entry light was out in our room. The telephone in the room did not work. The curtain had a cigarette hole in it. The hotel does not have an elevator and the staircases are slightly confusing. I was aware of the lack of elevator when I booked so this was not a particular issue. The lady at the front desk was pleasant if ineffective. We did report our issues except the curtain which I noticed as I was packing up but none were resolved. We were offered an upgrade but other members of our family had taken an upgrade and found just as many issues in the upgraded rooms. We were made aware that things like jacuzzi tubs and some televisions weren't working in rooms. During some down time I checked the reviews for this hotel and found that this is commonplace apparently. The management apparently is aware. Unfortunately there are only two hotels near where we were gathering. Overall much worse than most. Wouldn't recommend it. Also would like to add that my mother left a similar review to this and received an incredibly rude email from the manager after it was published. I fully intend to reach out to Comfort Inns corporate office and inform them of this issue as that was unnecessary and frankly unwarranted due to the fact that you can tell by her email is she didn't even read the...
Read moreVery comfortable beds, room very clean. The only issue in room I had an issue with was the drain plug on the tub it appears that it needed replaced but we took showers and the tub drained fine so really no problem there. 32 " flat screen TV with cable all local channels and lots of cable networks. Was not sure about any movie channels we were in town for a funeral and very tired after an emotional day.
Breakfast was very nice scrambled eggs, bacon (very thin appeared to be precooked Oscar meyer bacon) sausage, donuts, bagels, 3 types of bread, beverages included orange and apple juice both decaf and regular coffee, 1/2 pint cartons of milk 2% and whole milk I think they had chocolate but not sure. Hard boiled eggs, yogurt 2 flavors blueberry and raspberry. Instant Oatmeal 2 flavors, waffles 2 kinds buttermilk and chocolate flavored. Both regular and sugar free syrups. Plenty of room for sitting in the refreshment area. They also had bottled water and some snacks which I believe they were selling at the front desk they were on a shelf behind the front desk so I am only assuming this. I did not need either one so I was not sure. The Ice and vending machines all worked on both floors. The swimming pool was very nice but we were too tired to use it. No fitness room but the facility gives out passes to the YMCA which is less than 4 minutes...
