Every night after I got off work my key never worked for my room. I had to constantly go down to front desk for a new key. Beds have a foul smell, shower had red stains in it, & no breakfast in the morning. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here front desk was very rude & did not want to accommodate me with a new room !

The pull out mattress was disgusting. Went to the front desk and was advised that there was nothing they could do about it. There weren't any extra sheets in either room that I booked. Definitely not worth the price paid. There are plenty of better hotels in the area.

In Chambersburg for our niece's graduation from Wilson College and the hotel was clean, well appointed, beds were comfortable and the service was excellent. What more could we ask for. I highly recommend staying at the Baymont if you are visiting Chambersburg!!!

Arrived at hotel around 10pm and came into a line in the lobby waiting for the front desk. I listened as the nighttime desk manager apologized to guests and agreed to refund their money so they could stay somewhere else for the night. Apparently multiple guests had gotten to their new rooms which hadn't been cleaned yet from the previous guests, unbeknownst to the front desk. After they left, this employee chatted with a guy sitting in the lobby about how this isn't a fluke and happens everyday. She said she had just run out of her last clean room, and wasn't sure how she'd fill the other reservations. Great first impression. So I get to my room, and it's mostly clean, but the floor has dirt and crumbs on it. Never vacuumed. No bath towels in bathroom, no coffee cups with coffee maker. The only elevator, the pool, and the side door locks are all out of order. Next morning - breakfast area is pretty pitiful. It's a big area and could be fine, but just poorly supplied. Waffles, sausage links, white bread slices (sad), 1 bagel, 2 apples, cheerios and raisin bran. There was empty counter space and hot plates that could have held lots more food, but just going unused. A sign saying fresh yogurt, but there was no yogurt. No coffee cups or dairy-based creamer at coffee bar.

The hotel looks like it's been renovated in the last few years. Seemed like it could be a fine place, it's just in disrepair and clearly has serious management problems. I would not recommend staying here under the...

The hotel itself clean, the rooms are well maintained, theres a fridge and TV in each room. I was surprised actually with how nice and clean they keep it. Loved that.

The staff is friendly, a bit confusing at times because when we first checked in July 7th 2025 there was no deposit for the one night we were staying. That's fine. We had another reservation for the week basically the 8th through to the 10th 2025, they tried to say we had to pay a deposit for staying over more than a night when it clearly wasn't even in writing anywhere.

We finally got it figured out that It was the damage deposit which we are fine with but we went to add another day basically the night of the 10th so we could stay until Friday and he said we would have to book it through like Priceline or booking.

He then tried to say that our first deposit would be eaten by the new booking and that we would have to pay another 50$ because ours was lost in the system.

The system....

Was a envelope under the counter with our name on it. Hmmm. I mean it may have been a misunderstanding or communication error but you had one job bro.

They were a nice staff don't get me wrong I was just confused by if they are actually getting extra deposits out of people or something. He did give my change back when I gave him too much so I mean they are honest but very confusing to me.

We also had to keep asking for towels because 3 towels was not enough for 3 more...

A 1star motel, dressed up as a hotel. First of all, practically NONE of the advertised amenities are actually available. The air filters in the room have visible black mold caked on them. The toilets are so rundown that flushing them is so loud, it sounds like they're literally screaming at you. Shower leaks. AC doesn't even work. Room was constantly hot. Employees were rude and standoffish. If all of this wasn't enough, they're boldfaced liars as well. When my wife checked us in, she informed them that we had a cat with us. The website said the hotel is "pet friendly". We paid for a week. A day later, they sent someone up to my room, to tell me they needed me at the front desk. When I went down, they told me that cats are not allowed there, and I had to leave! The very rude woman at the desk claimed she tried calling my room. The phone never rang, and I checked that it was working. It was. She had an attitude from the moment I went downstairs, before she even knew who I was. Not only will I never stay at this poor excuse for a hotel again, but I will be reporting them to the health department, as well as looking into legal action for blatant violations of the Pennsylvania unfair trade practice and consumer...
