So let me start by saying that Aiyana was a excellent server she made sure we were taken care of. However our experience was far from the quality service we received. First we knew that valentines was going to be a busy night so at 5pm we did the online reservation thing for 6:15pm we arrived at 5:45 knowing we were early we checked in with the hostess and we're prompted that we would be called we waited and waited till we saw people starting to be seated after we would have. So checking back with the hostess she could not find us in the system at all it's now 6:25 pm . She apologized and within a few minutes we had our table. After a few minutes we felt a very strong cold air blowing down over us we asked about if they could turn it off and our server said of course we will turn it warmer. However it remained cold slightly warm as she asked if the temp was OK then shortly after freezing cold again for the rest of our meal. We then ordered our entrée I ordered a house salad with blue cheese instead I received ranch mildly annoyed I ate it anyways cause I like ranch but was in the mood for blue cheese. At 45 minutes into our wait for our food she checked on us and apologized for the wait and she was going to see what she could do about getting our food out as quickly as possibly. This poor woman was severly over booked and she was moving quickly to serve everybody clearly its not her fault .One hour and Twenty minutes later our food finally came. It was good the scampi was a little over cooked and tough portions taste and temperature was perfect. I know it's a busy night but come on with all the different choices out there to pick from we chose you guys and it wasn't up to standard. We came from Carlisle when we could have chose the Mechanicsburg location but opted for Chambersburg but this place is usually the better of the 2 clearly not the correct...
Read moreAfter years of not being at a red lobster my wife and I went out to eat tonight (5-7-19) and well.....the beer was the best thing we had. When we first walked in they seemed closed, as in no customers and no hostess at all. After a few mins someone FINALLY came out and sat us. We started off with the mussels and the first one was good but the more you ate them the saltier they became. My wife ate 4-6 mussels and said she was done, way to salty for her. Next we ordered our entrees, mine was the Yucatan tilapia with an upcharge for the tomato caprese salad, hers was the ultimate feast no rice no fried shrimp with 3 upcharges, 1 for asparagus 1 for the caprese salad and .79 cents to replace fried shrimp with shrimp scampi. She can't have alot of carbs cause of diabetes. First off red lobster that caprese salad is nothing close to a caprese salad, IT SHOULDN'T BE SWIMMING IN A SWEET VINAIGRETTE.!!!!! Should only be sliced tomatoes sliced mozzarella cheese with fresh basil drizzled with a balsamic reduction, no sweet VINAIGRETTE. The wife's lobster was like a crispy rubber band, shrimp was salty and the crablegs were waterlogged, kinda like the ones you see at a ayce Chinese buffet. My plate was sloshed with a very greasy broken sauce and overly salted. Also red lobster i never knew that rice was considered a garnish and not a side. 25+ years in the restaurant business and 1 of the worst meals I've ever had. Spent 95 bucks on a salt lick over cooked dinner but at least our server, Nicholas B was very good (do yourself a favor n go to a privately owned restaurant) Oh also when you have a mojito the mint should be muddled not just floating in drink and not so...
Read moreLobster dip is really plain and underseasoned, it just tasted like chunky water. Mozzarella sticks were mediocre, the marinara had a really weird taste like it was old. The crispy dragon shrimp starter was the only semi-good part about the meal in comparison to the other 2 things we ordered, but it still didn't impress. The bed of cabbage they put it on top of makes the shrimp breading get immediately soggy, so it's not exactly crispy. Also, none of the shrimp were de-veined. I've had better shrimp at the Chambersburg Rutters, and that's saying something since that's just a gas station.. I wish I were exaggerating when I say this Red Lobster makes hospital/retirement home food taste like a 5 star gourmet meal, but I'm unfortunately not. Aside from the taste and textures Extremely small portions for all 3 of those items and my total came out to $40. I expected better out of this Red Lobster. If you're hellbent on eating at Red Lobster, make sure you go to the one near Williamsport, MD instead. It's worth the drive, they actually season their food there and the portions of their starters are worth the price. And they give you two bags of cheddar flaky biscuits for free with your meal when you order takeout, this Red Lobster did not include free biscuits...
