The hotel was conveniently located but it was disappointing. We booked it due to the convenience of it's location to my partner's family, but also because of the pool and free breakfast. When I checked in, there was a sign at the front desk stating the pool was closed and there was no breakfast. Neither of these things was stated on the website and when I mentioned this the front desk clerk said I'm sorry with no further explanation. When we arrived at the room, we discovered that there was only one washcloth in the bathroom, when we asked for an additional towel we were told the towels were locked and couldn't be accessed until housekeeping returned in the morning. I don't believe that to be true, and if it is, perhaps management should leave some towels at the front desk for times when housekeeping didn't do their job correctly and put enough towels in a room for two adults. We saw there was someone in the hotel laundry, so we knocked on the door and asked if they could give us a washcloth. We were told the hotel was full so there weren't extra towels available, but could probably find us a washcloth, which she did. The smoke detector was covered by the liner from the ice bucket which is clearly a safety issue that wasn't noticed or addressed by whoever prepares the room between guests. There were no disposable cups in the room, no hangers in the closet area, and the room floor wasn't very clean. The hallways were not clean at all, the carpets didn't appear to be vacuumed any time in the recent past. The morning we were checking out, there was a woman in the hallway screaming profanities and pounding on a room door. This went on for several minutes. I tried to call the front desk and received no answer. The bed was very comfortable and the AC worked well, which was welcomed since it was 90 degrees while we were there. Despite those two positives, it's unlikely we will stay...
Read moreI was traveling in a snow storm forced off the highway by state police trying to close the highway down. I attempted to stay at this hotel. Todd the receptionist was already annoyed with me because I booked my stay through a third party app. I finally got my key card and I walked through the dirty halls to my room. I walked into a dirty room with dead and living roaches on the floors and walls. The bathtub was dirty with hair laying in it. The one picture on the wall had some substance splattered on it. The bed had something crawling on it. I went to the receptionist asking for a refund. He then offered a upgrade to a suite and took me to one of two suites. The cleanliness of these suites were still dirty. Piles of hair on the floor not to mention it was on the same floor and doors away from the previous room. Knowing roaches arent just a one room thing. The receptionist(Todd) then proceeds to say that the housekeepers can't clean every spec of dirt in the rooms, which is their job. He wasnt trying to refund my stay. He called the owner at one point discussing my issues. Todd was very arrogant and when I went to him with my problem he took off to my room to check to make sure my complaint was valid. I'm appalled by his last comment after approving my refund, which was if I want cleanliness then I'm gonna pay hundreds of dollars for a clean hotel room. I took pictures of my room and would post them but there isnt a place...
Read moreWe stayed here because it is close to my boyfriend's family. We also liked that it had a free continental breakfast and swimming pool according to the website. When we arrived there was a sign at the front desk saying both the breakfast and pool were closed. When I commented on it, and asked why it wasn't stated online all I got was an I'm sorry. When we got to the room, we found the fire detector covered with the ice bucket liner, no disposable cups, two bath towels and one washcloth, no hangers in the "closet" area, and a loose toilet seat that pinched your leg when you sat on it. My boyfriend went to the front desk to ask for two more towels and another washcloth. We were told the towels were locked up and they had no access until housekeeping returned in the morning. :( When we returned to our room we saw people in the hotel laundry and knocked on the door to ask for more towels. The person said the hotel was sold out for the night and she couldn't give us more towels because there weren't any. She did find a washcloth to give us so at least we could each shower without sharing one. Perhaps it would be helpful to have a small stash of towels at the front desk for after housekeeping is gone. Although I suspect they had access. The room was clean, just lacking in furnishings and was in need of a refresh. The bed was very comfortable and the AC worked really well which was good since it was in the 90's...
