Wawa — Restaurant in Chambersburg

I attended a business event this evening near Wayne Ave and decided to stop at Wawa to pick up dinner for my husband on way home. This was around 6:45pm today. I ordered an Italian Hoagie and fries but for some reason the computer didn't give option to add vinegar, only oil. So I approached the counter to see if they could add vinegar, and turns out They could. But I will say the young gentleman was so pleasant and super friendly before I even asked for what I needed. And then he said of course they could do that. I went to the register to pay while I waited for my order to be ready. The young lady was extra friendly and sweet. Not in a fake way, but genuinely friendly and wanted to make sure I had everything needed and bag for my order. Then I stepped to side to wait for my order and only waited no more than 2 minutes when my number was called. The woman again was so friendly kindly letting me know she ran out of ketchup behind the counter but there were condiments right in front of counter for me to take. Again in a genuinely friendly demeanor. I just wanted to say Kudos to Wawa 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 You were fully staffed and every encounter with an employee exceeded my expectations of great customer service. I know one could say they were just doing their job but honestly I was so impressed I felt compelled to share with my husband when I got home and felt they deserved a shout out. I have had nothing but good experiences going to this location. It may seem small and insignificant to most, but they were out of their bacon hot dogs and the employee saw me just looking at the warmer, seeing there was none and walking away and actually tracked me down to tell me if i wanted one he would have someone make one for me! After it was made the guy behind the counter gave the biggest smile and said he added extra bacon for the wait. Customer service is top tier and honestly encourages me to go out that way. Im glad that the people working for the company reflects their standards. It’s refreshing to see such kindness in this town. It’s unfortunate that this is purely just an example of good customer service, but when the bar for most places is set so low when a person is met with such quality experiences they’re blown away. Very busy and overheard staff say that they were inundated with online orders (Superbowl Sunday). Ordered an Italian Hoagie. Mayonnaise missing from condiment/spreads page, but noticed it included Miracle Whip. Later checked the bin where Mayonnaise usually resides beside ketchup and mustard. Not home. Overheard later someone asking about Mayo not being on the list, and worker told her something about indicating it as a special order. 37 minutes later, I left with hoagie in hand, grumbling about wait time, but still optimistic about hoagie. After a brief kitchen photo session, tasted the hoagie after applying liberal amounts of Mayonnaise from home. Overall good taste, but even with oil and vinegar seemed dry.
