Less "inn/spa" more "motel". Let's start with the room. The pillows were lumpy, the mattress hard, but the worst part? The wall AC unit that was so loud,it was like a freight train running through the room. If I had indeed come expecting to relax and experience "sanctity for the soul" like the website professes to offer, I would have been sadly disappointed. From the front, the place looks nice. White picket fence, blooming lilies... from the back its literally a motel. The bathroom was fine, although the sink only had hot water, no cold, and weirdly, the fridge and microwave are basically in the bathroom. Limited cable channels, low end coffee machine, and weird shade on the window that didn't actually block the light very well. But bottom line, a rumbling AC unit that never cooled the room below 70 was awful. Oh, and there was no iron and it took about 90 minutes for housekeeping to bring me one. The website boasts a spa, pool, reiki, yoga and crystal healing. There was no mention (or sign) of any of that other than the pool (which did actually look pretty nice). There's a room with a few exercise machines in it as well. But I wouldn't call it a gym. So back to my review. The "handcrafted welcome amenity" mentioned on the website was not offered. No idea what that was supposed to be. On to breakfast. The website mentions a "locally sourced continental breakfast from light bites to hearty creations ". There were bagels with little packets of cream cheese and Nutella. Muffins and danish, and a sad looking bowl of fruit salad next to a bowl of bananas. Oh, and a cereal dispenser. No eggs, no sausage or bacon. I guess "locally sourced" meant purchased from the local grocery store? Mediocre coffee from an urn with little creamer cups that you peel the top of. They couldn't even spring for a pitcher of milk or cream. I've had better breakfasts at a Hampton Inn. The rooms were very minimalist with some chipped paint etc. here and there. There's a grassy area out back with a gazebo and some Adirondack chairs. My key card stopped working randomly twice over a two day stay. Housekeeping did come bring new towels, but never bothered to make the bed. All in all, I would not recommend the Align Inn. I would never stay there again. The website is SO deceptive. If you're looking for a clean, serviceable motel, it fits the bill. But nothing more. Pretty disappointing. The one plus is that its close to the Gorge and shopping, restaurants etc. But its not an inn, and it's...
Read moreI don't normally write reviews, but the way I was treated with my booking was utterly inhumane and lacking in any basic understanding or compassion. I booked my stay for September 29-30th of 2024. I live in Asheville, NC and as the hurricane hit us the day we were supposed to leave for our New England road trip, we were unable to make it. Not only was our flight cancelled and the airport completely shut down for almost a week, when I tell you that my home was in complete devastation, I am not exaggerating. I know people saw us in the news, but nothing compares to living through something like that. My BIL's nana's home was washed down the river; several people we knew had there homes destroyed and their lives lost including my boss and her husband; most people were without running water, electricity, and service for at least a week (most for longer); and everyone was coming together to help whoever and wherever they could, compiling resources. So many lives were lost, homes and roads destroyed, and to this day we are still recovering. We had to drive to do wellness checks on people after the worst of it was over because there was no service and we couldn't contact people. I didn't know if my parents were event alive for 2 days because the roads and service was so bad and they lived in one of the places that was hit the hardest. When I had the thought and ability to do so, I called the Align Inn and spoke with Rachel, the owner. I told her my situation and she seemed sympathetic, but told me that while a refund could be issued, Expedia had to issue the refund since I booked through them. When I contacted Expedia they said that the Align Inn had to release the money to them but when they contacted them and spoke with Rachel, the owner she said that it was too late (I had missed the week deadline by the time I contacted Expedia, but not by the time I called the inn directly) and a refund couldn't be made even with my extenuating circumstances. Mind you, on top of the catastrophic events we were navigating, signal was super spotty and hard to come by for weeks. The lack of compassion and basic humanity was shocking. Our stay cost $173.24 and that money was really needed during such a hard time. The owner of this establishment, Rachel, should be ashamed. She acted like the refund was out of her hands, but being the owner, that seems very...

Came to Vermont for a 4th of July weekend road trip. I loved my stay at Align Inn. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I loved the modernity of the place. Parking was conveniently right in front of the room's door. The place was quiet and safe. Conveniently located near Quechee Gorge, several dine-in and take-out options (check-out the skinny pancake for delicious eats with great service), and a gas station.
Breakfast was good and starts at 6AM. I appreciated the availability of almond milk, other places I have stayed at usually only have dairy options.
Overall, this place was a little above what I would usually budget for a night, but the location and quality were well worth it. I would stay here again when back in the area.
