We have been to Quechee many times before and regret having never eaten here. The menu was varied and wished we had come back the next night to try something else. We had the "Load up the tots" for an entree and OMG! The smoked bacon was the kicker! Not greasy at all. Then the tenderloin slider duo was so tender and the steak flavour...wow! I selected the nightly special of "Pork Tinga" stew, so glad I did. It had loads of flavour which given my limited culinary expertise, I would say had chipotle in Adobe sauce which gives it the "Tinga" spice factor. The wine and local craft beer selection did not disappoint. The service was so fast and the waitress made the experience unforgettable...then to top it off the chef came around and asked how everyone was enjoying there meal! I know everyone has different tastes but #yougottaeathere

Food was OK. Overall underseasonsed and just kind of flat. Also, we got appetizers and about 5 minutes later our main meals came out. I really think that the cook should give you at least 15 minutes to work on your appetizers before the main meals come out so our food just sat there on the table for about 15 to 20 minutes. Would recommend work on your timing, I'd like to enjoy my food. Went there for seafood festival. It was all just OK, the rangoons didnt reallyhave any seafood in them shrimp and grits fell flat, just not good. Mahi tacos were good, crab bisque just OK at best. Waitstaff was very nice.

Umm, the Tenderloin Slider Duo. How could I not try it again? So g o o d. Our 2nd visit & did not disappoint for dinner, Father's day, 2019. Chicken Schnitzel & Cloudland Farm Meatloaf, are a yummy must! We lucked out by also being there on a Sunday when Kevin Atkinson was playing. Felt like I just gave my husband a great father's day dinner & concert. Kevin has some really amazing original songs & we were blown away by his unique spin on classics. Not to be missed.

The Public House NEVER disappoints. When we started coming to the area this was the first restaurant we tried. Ever Since our first visit - everyone treats us like family. Everything on the menu is absolutely outrageous. While the Shnitzel, is incredible, as advertised, the burgers are second to none - no joke! Good luck choosing the right burger for you - each is unique and better than the next. You will have an impossible time finding wings anywhere in the country that rival those at the public house (and I have had my share). The ribs are usually my go to meal - and honestly best ribs I have ever had (yes I have been to Memphis and Kansas City). If you are a vegetarian- no problem - you will find a long list of delicious salads. If you are not a vegetarian and in the mood for a salad - order the spinach salad with steak tips - TRUST ME. While I am usually full by the end of dinner and had no room for dessert (no I don’t eat all of this at one sitting) my kids swear by them. The ever changing beer and bourbon selection is truly remarkable and you will find something for any palate. Most importantly - Jenn and the crew always make you feel at home. We travel with a big crowd and a lot of kids - the crew (and the locals) always makes them feel special. For those with allergies - have no fear - they are very sensitive to this. My daughter has a severe tree nut allergy - but there is not a nut (other than me) on premises. If you are looking for a home run - do not pass on the...

I'd prefer no stars! I, along with about 100 people, went on a pub crawl a few weeks ago and one of our stops was The Public House and Pizza Chef. I was among the half that walked into the Public House. We were greeted outside, I believe, by the owner. He looked annoyed and told us, with no hello or welcome, to get our drinks and go outside. We were later than he expected and we were interrupting his dinner rush (of 3 tables)! He was rude, annoyed, and said something to that effect to at least half the people in our group! Jeeze..I'm sorry that we chose to spend our money at your establishment and give you a $1000 profit in the hour we were planning on being there!! Well don't worry Public House!! We've ALL decided that was the last time we would be treated with such rudeness as you showed us that day!! We are ALWAYS welcomed with open arms at the Pizza Chef! And that, dear sir, is where we will be spending our future and our money from now on! It's too bad...I'm the owner of my own restaurant..and rule of thumb says...upset one customer..you've upset 10 because the average person tells 10 people when they've had bad service! Well buddy you've upset at least 25 of us...so that means AT LEAST 250 are going to hear a bad review of The Public House!! Hope you're happy with yourself! Hey! Pizza Chef! See you soon and THANK YOU for the warm and welcoming...

Wanted to say I’ve been coming here for as long as I can remember. And I like to read the reviews on one of my fave places to hang out. Top notch wait staff, owner, bartenders as well as food and drink. Deck is not only awesome but is super dog friendly too! I rescued a sweet female lab mix from Arkansas in May of 2020. She was there at least twice a week back then for the entire summer and loved the attention she received from so many of the patrons. 😊

Anyways, I read some bogus review most recently from a Dennis Smith, who calls himself a “local guide”. Pretty poor review by him. “Because the deck wasn’t open tonight, and he had his dog with him”, he was upset that he couldn’t eat there, and he had to eagerly give his review of a 1 star. Wow. Pretty poor for a “local guide”. Some local you are. I’ve never seen you there before. I’ve lived in Quechee for 40 years. This place is like a “staple” to Quechee. Similar to let’s say Simon Pierce or Whistle Pig Tasting room. Anyways “Dennis”, I hope I never see you there. I give your...
