If we could give 0 stars we would. This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The room had NO heating, when we returned from dinner the room was the same temperature as outside. Note: there is snow on the ground. Aka the room was a freezer. We informed the front desk, and he said, "I will find a wrench if you know how to fix the heater." When that didn't work he said he would send someone to the basement to fix it. In a 1/2 hour we called the desk again and he said he thinks he got the heat working in the room next door... when we explained that wouldn't help us he said he would find space heaters. Next thing we see is him heading to the restaurant next door. In a few minutes high school boys in restaurant uniforms came with the restaurant space heaters that the kid announced he knew the heater worked bc he had just unplugged it from the kitchen. When I remarked that the handwritten sign on the heater said don't turn up above 72 was a bit concerning, he informed me that not to worry, the sign was meant for restaurant staff to not crank the heat in the kitchen. We decided to warm up in the hot tub, only to be told that it didn't work. The shower curtain had a hole in it and the room wasn't very clean. At checkout, we called for assistance with adjusting our bill. The housekeeper came with an attitude. We asked for a discount. She got on the phone with her boss who said to give us 20.00 off of our bill. She removed a 20 from the till and slapped it on the counter. We do NOT recommend staying...
Read moreWe were charmed by the idea of a family-owned and run business. We had to ring an outdoor phone to have someone come and check us in. When we entered the room, we were surprised at how old and outdated and run down everything was. We were especially shocked because we paid $127 and expected a great deal more than this. Clearly pets had been in the room previous to us because not only was there dog food kibble all over the floor, there was a little "doggy leaving" dried out and on the floor.||We had pets and we took them out to the "grassy area" to do their business. We were prepared with our paper towels and bags. This area also had some a children's swingset and play toys. First this that happened was I stepped in a very large, wet and messy pile. Upon further examination, there wasn't a SINGLE UNDEFACATED PLACE in that whole space where you could walk your dog. Not to mention that children play there? GROSS. ||We discovered another small grassy area that was not as filthy as the previous place and our dogs were able to do their business, which we cleaned up.||The room was directly next to the "vending" room. It was noisy. Door slamming over and over and over. People standing directly outside our door talking, laughing, their dog whining and barking, starting their cars ten minutes ahead of time to warm them up, etc. Miserable, miserable experience.||Time to clean up, Swiss Alps. Time to bring to current, and time to make the the charge of $127 worth the stay.||We will...
Read moreFirst off, the proximity of the hotel to everything in Heber and Midway is awesome, close to the Crater, horseback riding, and other sightseeing. The room was good, with a working fridge, coffee maker (with nice coffee), and hairdryer. The tv had a lot more channels than expected and the heater worked really well, even though outdated (important for January in Utah). The heater in the bathroom blew directly onto the toilet seat which was interesting. Like another review mentions, the usb lamp chargers didn't really work well. The shower and tub were great and had no issue draining. The room was overall clean but as pictured, there was a few interesting spots under the bed. There was also sodium bicarbonate in the fridge when we arrived, not sure if that is a normal thing. The hot tub was great, perfect temperature and indoors in a clean space. The microwave was clean and worked well too. The biggest reason for 4 stars is before booking, I called the hotel to verify the minimum check in age, because I'm not quite 21 and sometimes that's the requirement. The woman on the phone got upset and said if I was coming there to party, I would get kicked out immediately. I said I wasn't coming there to do that (it was just a little vacation with my partner), and she got defensive and was like "oh of course not, it just happens a lot". Really didn't appreciate being profiled like that, found it very unprofessional, but luckily the actual check in...
