Our stay at this property was comically and tragically unsatisfactory. On arrival, we were berated by the desk clerk, who complained we made him stay up too late to let us in after he confirmed guaranteed late arrival and hour before.||||Turned out that was the last time we saw him, as no staff actually worked on the premises. If you wanted to contact management, you had to call a hand-written number taped to the door of the office.||||In the first room we had, there was bush- league mediocrity: rotten food in fridge, lights that didn't work, crunchy weird carpet, etc.||||The following morning, the door lock broke and my colleague and I were locked out of the room for several hours. The remote staff member suggested we try to break into and climb in a bathroom window. That request proved impossible to comply with. Since there were no actual on-premises staff, the accountant eventually showed up with her baby in arms and eventually figured out the battery in the lock had failed. I had long since left the premises myself without my colleague, who had to Uber to the event we were working at to the tune of $50.||||The evening of the second day, they moved our room because they were unsure the door and lock would still work. In that room, there was pet food on floor, black mold in the shower, broken light fixtures, etc. No satisfaction from the management, who were rarely on the premises. Staff at nearby establishment told us, "the only way that place stays in business is from the drug dealers that actually live there.”||||We left a day early, but were charged full price in advance. This hotel put us in harm’s way with resident drug dealers living there.||||Tried to complain with hotels. com. Hotels.com offered us a whopping $150 voucher for this experience but no more. They were not helpful. First they denied that we could email to complain but in the end the supervisor Mark Ramirez from the call center surrendered only customerrelations@hotels.com (this turns out to be a bad email address). So as of this writing, that’s where it’s at.||||We feel this is inadequate compensation for our inconvenience and requested a larger refund. Hotels.com shouldn't have this venue...
Read moreI booked the room knowing it had only 2 stars, but it was far worse than I imagined. I stayed with my father and my sister only one night. We really just needed somewhere to sleep and not drive down the canyon after a Memorial Get Together we went to. Regardless of the low price, this is not a place I would ever stay at again- ever. The room smelled of cats, and even though I was told later there were no cats; we saw a very large one wandering the grounds. The carpet was filthy. My father got lost in the bed due to the mattress being so saggy and he is all of 140 pounds. The box springs had stains on the side; there was no light in the bathroom. We were on the 2nd floor so we had two flights of stairs to climb that have carpet peeling off of them. Very dangerous. There are piles of materials and tools in every nook on the grounds. The continental breakfast was the only positive experience. When I checked out I was not going to say anything, but the individual asked me how everything was. I only mentioned half the items above. He offered me a free room next time I was in Heber. I am not sure why he did not understand that the place is not somewhere I would ever consider again. My father, who is 83 years old, said it was the worse place he has ever stayed at. I, on the other hand, have stayed in one place over the years that was worse. I read where there is a new owner and he is remodeling. Maybe the place will be worth staying at down the road. I have to say both individuals who helped us, checking in and checking out were very pleasant; but - bottom line, you do get what...
Read moreThis place was HORRIBLE.
First room they checked us into shouldn't even be available to ANYONE. We were missing the light bulb in the main light, the lamp we tried didn't work, the power cord was missing from the TV, and when my son tried to use the bathroom he turned the light and it made the WORSE screeching noise, nobody could use the bathroom without it ending in tears. On top of that the rooms were filthy and nothing was taken care of. We decided to give them another chance, this time it was a little better, but when we tried to all go to bed, the sheets were stained, ripped, and looked like they had never been washed. There is plywood chunks all over the carpet, there were holes, missing tiles, filth was everywhere, and none of the plugs worked. We all felt nasty, safe, and very unhappy. I got the kids ready and my husband went to the front and asked for a refund, which they did give us. We had other famiy that also bought rooms to stay in who also asked for a refund because of the conditions, like SPIDERS AND BUGS in their beds. We all braved the snow storm to get home because that was a better option then staying any longer.
Filthy, not taken care of, not worh any money. Sleep in your car instead.
Edit to add, they told us they were refunding us, none of us have gotten a refund AND the rooms were only originally 99$, and the next morning we had the charge for 99$ AND another 199$ charge, no sign...
