Gathered Home Consignment — Local services in Heber

I'm not one to post reviews, but this is a "customer beware" I think needs to be out there. I left a very unique table to be sold. After a month of no bites, I asked if the high price could be lowered to get more interest. Price was dropped some, but still nothing. One day I texted to find out how things were going, only to find out that my tabletop had slid to the ground and broken the day before. I was told I would be compensated based on a price I had discussed (half of what was listed last time I was in the store). When I came for the check, I was given 40% based on an even lower price, and they kept the bases of the table and put them out for their profit. (But I could take the bases home if I wanted but I would get no money at all). At least pay based on the last price you texted me instead of changing it when I arrive to pick up the check. Just doesn't feel fair...If you decide to work with them, check-in IN PERSON frequently, take pictures of your items and the price...

What a filthy organization. If you drop items to be sold expect nothing in return. Clearly very poor morals , sloppy and a run around to get a check. I still haven’t been paid 2 months after my items sold. The contract says to stop by anytime to pick up a check & I was told, “sorry I’ll mail it 3 weeks later.” No check arrived so I stopped by again & he claimed it was sent that morning. One week later now still no check. So what the community has here is a dirty thief, a blatant lier and a lazy slob who sleeps in the store and couldn’t care less about stealing from his customers....

Wow! This was my first time to visit Gathered Home and the owner‘s mom was incredible and so helpful. I was furnishing our condo in Midway and heavens; I get some wonderful deals and beautiful furniture. The lamps are extraordinary and the value is amazing because they’re almost new and I paid pennies on the dollar for them. I plan on going back...
