I went in for a smoothie today and unfortunately had a bad experience with the employee and owner. When I got there, I accidentally ordered the wrong one. I have an allergy to berries and meant to order the P&B smoothie. When I realized this, I asked if the employee could make it right and make a new one. The smoothie is $9 and very expensive. The bottom line is, they refused to make me a new one. They would not even offer me 50% off for a new one. This was frustrating as I am a frequent customer wanting to order something I can actually eat, especially for $9 tiny smoothie.
I later called back to make the situation right. The employee who originally served me answered the phone. When I asked to speak to the owner they rudely laughed. I told the owner about the laughing, and she said she doubted the employee laughed at me. I really did not appreciate this comment. The owner proceeded to tell me it was my fault and there was nothing that could be done. Out of frustration, I ended the phone call.
Minutes later I get a phone call back. I answered and said “hello”. Then seconds later they hung up. How UNPROFESSIONAL of the owner!
I decided to drive to Mountain Wellness and speak to the owner and cool down the situation, as she was clearly very angry.
When confronted in person, Alisha said she “has a business to run”. And she hopes I don’t leave a bad review. Finally, after all of this, Alisha offers a gift card but continues to tell me I am wrong. How about you fix the situation from the start and make it right instead of going through this whole process?

Living gluten free and mostly organic myself, I know how expensive real ingredients are. I think that everything the cafe sells is on price point when comparing to how much I spend to purchase all the ingredients to make healthy organic meals at home.
I took the gluten free sourdough class back in January and it has seriously changed my life this year. Not only does she send you home with your own gluten free starter, but she also sends you home with most of the sour dough recipes she uses there in the cafe! The class is worth every penny. I can eat bread again!
I also have done the whole30 month plan that they offer a couple times a year, and it was AMAZING to not have to cook or think about the meals. I actually think I saved money by ordering straight from the cafe rather than me trying to make whole30 meals that tasted good. I had so much inflammation go down by doing this plan along with clearer skin, more energy and less brain fog.

My friend (who is a LOYAL and kind customer) gave her kind, constructive feedback PRIVATELY, and the owner proceeded to humiliate this person PUBLICLY on her social media pages. I on the other hand am not as gracious and think a public review is now warranted. While the food is good, they mess up orders all the time and don’t fix the orders. The fact that this person receives feedback is a good thing- it’s an opportunity to improve. However she posted on her socials that she does not want feedback. How is a business going to thrive with a leader who won’t listen to any feedback? Will never be coming to this establishment again. So disappointed and shook in how this owner treats loyal customers.
