So you pull up to this place and you think, oh man, old motel. The exterior definitely betrays its age. But then you get into the room and it's... weirdly nice? Like, this place has actually put some money into modernizing the furniture and appliances. There were four USB outlets in there. Four! It's nuts that I have to be excited about that in 2023, but here we are. Location is great, since you're less than five minutes from the nearest big shopping area, which has food options for a variety of budgets, including a couple places just across the street. Didn't get a lot of street noise, though the hospital did generate some one of the nights we were there. Not much to complain about. The heater was loud? Shower head is kind of low? That's all I got. Would gladly stay again.

Went to Hershey Park Memorial Day Weekend and wanted to stay overnight somewhere close but not pay a ton. This hotel is about 7 minutes from the park and was clean, comfortable, provided the necessities, and was mostly quiet. Front desk staff were very nice. Microwave and mini fridge in room are super convenient. Beds and pillows were comfortable and big, wall-mounted tv. Water pressure in the shower was a little light, but other than that, everything was good! The parking is onsite but it’s not a huge lot; there were only a couple open spots when we arrived. Hersheyscape Inn is nothing fancy but does the job and we would definitely stay here again when visiting the park!

You know how when you go to a motel, there is this musty smell? Well not here. This place was great. We picked it because it was the least expensive with the best reviews and I concur. This place has modern rooms with a fridge and a microwave. The bed stands had usb charging ports that my tweens really appreciated. I was really pleasantly surprised at how clean and new everything was. I felt like I was in a hotel.

The place has had major renovations done to the inside and is very nice. Everything in our room was new and very clean. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It’s a great value that bridges the gap between the expensive places and other places that were at the lower price point that we were not comfortable trying. Our room had a fridge and a microwave oven. If you have pets they even have rooms designated for pet owners. They even have a waffle machine in the breakfast area. Huge Huge Huge Plus for me!!!

5 Star Value Hotel – I have listed this as 5 stars because I feel this is a value hotel that deserved 5 stars. This is a great value hotel, but it isn’t a high end hotel that costs twice as much as this. If you are looking for a high end hotel then go stay in a high end hotel. To give them 3 stars because you were looking for a high end hotel isn’t fair. This is a 5 star value hotel not the Trump Plaza.

Highway Sounds – I saw something about highway sound possibly being an issue in another post. The closest Highway is right up the block Rt. 422. We were there in July (peak season) and the highway had practically no traffic on it. The only time I even heard the cars going buy was when I was in the parking lot close to the highway. Our room was on the back of the building and I was listening to birds and bugs in the trees and didn’t hear any cars. We stayed in the hotel a couple of weeks later and were on the front side of the building. This time we did hear the cars when the morning rush hour kicked in. That being said it wasn’t that bad. If some car noise bothers you then you might want to request a room on the back side of the hotel.

Room Noise – As a rule I always leave the fan running on our room Heat Pump units because I like the white noise. I especially do that at night because I am a light sleeper at times. That being said I think the only noise I heard from the rooms next to us was when I heard a bathroom door close hard one morning. Other than that I don’t remembering hearing anything else.

Owners – The new owners are a young married couple that are super nice. While we were there the wife was running the front desk during the day. They are super friendly and I am looking forward to seeing them again.

Places to eat – There is a BBQ place right next to this that we were told was good. We went there, but there was a 40 minute wait on a Saturday night. As a result we tried the Italian place right behind the hotel. The food and service were awesome.

1 John 4:9-11 - In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love...

We choose this particular motel, because it within 10 minutes of Hershey Park. We had to book two nights because the motel does not offer a late check out. After the experience, we should have paid more to stay at Hershey Hotel. Where do I begin? The first night stay was horrible. We found the sink to be clogged when washing mulch residue from our hands. My husband is an aborist; he likes to examine the mulch and soil content to find nematodes and mycelium. The bed sunk in, like a hammock; needless to say, neither my husband nor I received a decent night sleep. The following morning, we planned to enjoy a free continental breakfast from the lodge. Upon entering the office, where the breakfast is located, we were greeted with an unpleasant aroma of cigarette smoke. My husband made a comment about the stench and the GM replied that she smoked. No apologies there. We requested another room with an adequate bed mattress. She was able to accommodate our request. As for the breakfast, the cereal was stale, as were the bagels.

We did not end up staying two nights as planned. Two days after our Hershey Adventure, I checked the balance of the bank account to ensure the pending Econo Lodge transaction had been complete. To our surprise, the lodge had charged the account three times the original amount agreed upon, which was $198 for two nights. They claimed we had a pet, due to mulch in both rooms, and charged a "deep clean" fee of $461.00. I can understand how mulch could be perceived as having a pet, however, we traveled without our 4-legged companions this trip.

As for the clogged sink from the first night stay, we were charged $127.00 for its repair, as well!

We will never return to this Econo Lodge, nor any other affiliated motels. Heed warning from our experience prior to booking with this particular motel.

Oh.. did I mention stumbling upon a used condom in the parking...

Do not be deceived by the price point!!!

They checked off every box for me, the primary being cleanliness. Even the elevator is immaculate and smells fresh.

I have meticulous standards.

They offer extremely spacious rooms that are updated and surpisingly quite nouveau chic.

Ample charging opportunities for electronic devices. And for you Tesla fans, they have you covered.

The beds were extremely comfortable. The linens were spotless.

The surrounding area is very safe and clean. I felt completely comfortable. Reports by others of roaches, rats and unsavory characters milling around seem to be greatly exaggerated or confused by what hotel they were leaving a review for, because it certainly wasnt this establishment.

Complaints about 1 luggage cart seem absurd since it always seemed available.

Another reviewer complained about being disabled and having to manage an elevator, stating their regret about 3 floors, while the building has only 2 floors But it has an elevator so i dont understand that complaint, regardless.

The staff? Well, if you enjoy feeling like a valued family member that they cannot possibly be more concerned about your welfare, look no further.

Amazing people, and a shout out to Raj, an absolutely amazing human that will pray with, and for his guests.

This a Godly place. They don't evangelize, but their caring nature is evident that God is their center, and their reason for serving you.

In my 60 years, i have become accustomed to a high standard of expectations and normally would not consider accommodations at this price point.

Rarely though, you get WAY much more than you pay for. Escape Inn is that rarity.

No doubt the best bang you will get for your buck, and that they are solid, caring people is their piece de resistance.

Well done, Escape Inn. I could not praise you more and am sad...
