We had an amazing experience here for date night. Our server, Jim, was excellent and offered great suggestions. Their specials were a great addition to the menu and offered a little something different. We decided on the Short Rib Chips as an appetizer, 2 different Salads, and then their Daily Fish Special for Dinner. We were both going to get the Halibut, but instead, one of us got the Grouper because they only had one Serving of Halibut left. Great decision because the Grouper was definitely the better choice and was prepared the exact same way. For Dessert, the Reeces Peanut Butter Lava Cake with Ice Cream is a Must!! We'll definitely be back!! When you go, make sure you go in the front entrance to the Hershey Lodge. Inside the Lobby, is a Grand Entrance. Beautiful atmosphere with a great big fireplace in the middle and lots of places to sit and look around and eat. Look up the Grand Stairway up on the Second Floor straight ahead, you'll see the Revelry right up there. If you miss the main Lobby entrance, you'll have a hard time finding the restaurant because you'll be driving all the way around the back of the building until you get to the last entry way on the right, and there's a small sign there. If you go in by the Waterworks place, you'll have to go into the lodge from the back, and you'll have to walk past a bunch of rooms to get to the restaurant where there are no signs of it back there. If you go that way, you'll miss the Grand Entrance to the lodge and won't have to go up...
Read moreMy wife and I went here for our 5th anniversary and the whole experience was lackluster to say the least. We made reservations and were seated quickly. Generally speaking all of the food that we ordered came out good with the exception of my fish of the day medley which was halibut over rice pilaf with shrimp and scallops. The shrimp and scallops came out cold whereas the Halibut came out hot. When I brought it to the waitresses attention she asked if she could take it back to the kitchen and reheat it. I said I would prefer just to get the shrimp and the scallops fresh and hot. She said she would go back to the kitchen and ask and returned to say that best they could do was reheat my partiality eaten food back on the skillet. I said... "okay, I guess".
Ultimately the food came back still luke warm and I was appalled that this was the best they could do on my $54 entrée and not offer fresh food and they took back what was already on the table which, by the way, is against the law.
After which who I assumed was a manager even came up and asked how everything was and I explained everything that went on and the best he could say was oh I'm sorry to hear that and walked away. Nothing taken off the bill either.
Sorry to say we will not be going back to this establishment or any establishments in the Hershey Lodge. Shame as we're both locals and have lived in the area...
Read moreMy husband and I ate here on 12/09 for my birthday dinner and I personally thought it was really great. Dave was good and he was helpful with my milk allergy and giving good recommendations. I didn’t get a drink but my husband did, the Gimblet, I think? And then had a Yuengling. It was definitely strong and had nice flavor.
We got two appetizers, the goat cheese arancini and crispy Brussels sprouts, and both were delicious. The arancini could have used a little more salt but other than that I wouldn’t have changed a thing. He got the bone-in pork chop with the horseradish Mac & cheese and port demi glace and I got the crab cakes, truffle fries and asparagus, after debating the half roasted chicken. My crab cakes were really great, same with his entree. It was honestly a really great experience, the atmosphere was lovely, and everything was satisfying.
I’m also not sure why so many people are marking it as overpriced, as we thought for a more classy place in a resort, it was reasonable. We got two drinks, two appetizers, and two entrees for under $100, so we weren’t blown out of the water by prices. We had a great experience and would absolutely...
