I've been coming to Hilton Head for over 45 years. It is definitely one of my favorite vacation spots. It has certainly grown since my very first visit. Several years ago I purchased a timeshare at players club resort. I have enjoyed my stay here Time after Time. The staff is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. They are very helpful In explaining, and helping you locate shopping, restaurants and the beach. The rooms are very clean, And the maintenance staff is always on the grounds to fix or repair any problems that may arise during our stay. The maintenance manager, Connie has always immediately came to our room with any problems. She has fixed, repaired or even replaced anything that wasn't working. Check-In has always been a breeze. Karon in the office is one of the sweetest, and efficient! She's always available for any questions, always in the office, and she always gets us checked in without any issues. The staff always has posters, flyers posted on activities that are going on during the week for the guest. The pool is always clean, and the pool area is always cleaned, and reset up for the next day. There are several buildings on the grounds as you enter the Players club resort. I would have to say that the players club resort does not need to be confused or labeled as Spinnaker's. They are entirely two different entities or resorts on the same property. I have heard many complaints about the Spinnaker buildings that are being used as hotels on the property. Their hotel use is strictly for free nights to sell timeshares. I hear their guess Complaining a lot at our pool area. On several I do try to help explain to their guest where to go to the beach. Where to use the trolley service and they're usually complaining because their office on the hill doesn't give them very much information. I enjoy coming back every year at players club resort because I see the same faces in my building and I have actually gotten to know a lot of the guests that share the same week that I do every year. The pleasure has definitely been mine staying here. I have family members now that have purchased timeshares and we're lucky enough to spend one week out of all the summer months here at players club. The convenience is Great!! We bring our bikes every year and we commute to the firework shows, shopping, the beach, And will continue to do this for many years to come. Thank you players club resort for all...
Read moreIt was a very disappointing experience visiting my cousins at this resort. I have a multipurpose service dog. Her biggest tasks are for mobility (my spine was fully reconstructed), my migraines that mimic a stroke (I can black out, lose ability to use my limbs, or ability to communicate) I have pots which causes my blood pressure to drop and I pass out. My service dog has taken away the need for my wheelchair and has given me independence. She has stayed in hospitals with me, goes to each doctor appointment and treatment, has been through my surgeries etc. But this was one of the first places that we have had any issue. They kept telling me that without an id it isn't a real service dog. I tried to explain that there is no national database yet for registering service animals(even though we are in support of the country getting one) and that ids for service dogs are not real. We have learned that some people get ids online just to expedite any issues or questions but they are not legitimate. Nor do they affect the validity of a service animal and it's ability to assist the owner through life. It was a really distressing and disappointing experience. You guys were the only place on HHI that gave us issues or caused such distress. Please learn more about the rights of the disabled and especially if they require the use of a service animal. A service dog is not a pet or animal, they are legally considered medical equipment, and to put someone through such grief because they require assistance to walk through every day life is astronomical. I really wish we could have enjoyed tea time with my cousins or had a better experience over all. Please educate yourselves and your staff for future disabled guests or visitors. I would hate for someone else to have a...
Read moreThe day to day staff get 5 stars. Management is lacking horrible... Stayed here four out of 7 days atthe island the first night the picture in our room fell off the wall and hit my 6 year old in the head with glass breaking while he was turning the ac unit up for me the wall anchor was not installed correctly. Luckily he did not get cut . I went to the office they came took pictures made sure he was ok she was great. Never once got a call from manager even to just say sorry. Were not out for anything but a phone call would have ment alot. The second day was fine . The third night my 7 year old woke me up 2 am dad there is a big in my bed. Turn lights on there was 4 cockroaches in our room 2 in her bed. She was freaked out Shane er seen one. I go to office again night worker was great he moved us rooms and apologize several times. Next day no call from manager which being a manager myself blows my mind. Could ha 3 at least reaches out to say sorry anything. 4th day we had more cockroaches in the new room and in our luggage. We packed up and went to a different hotel for the next few days. The hotel staff is amazing management affordable they look at everyone staying there has a Spinnaker customer most of the time the rooms are very cheap because of the timeshare so they don't seem to care much if you're staying for a few days and you don't mind bugs it's a great place to stay don't like bugs like me and my family I do...
