Dasks Greek Grill — Restaurant in Holladay

I purchased a 3 pack of Groupons to try this restaurant. I gave one to my son and took one myself to the store. The Groupon states that they only allow one per day per transaction or table. We attempted to use one Groupon for each of us in separate transaction and they said that we couldn't do that.

I explained that we had traveled 50 miles to try the restaurant and asked if they could make an exception. They bluntly said no.

I tried for several minutes to patiently explain the situation and ask them to accommodate me because the Groupons would expire soon but they were un-helpful and unyielding.

Finally I realized that they were uninterested in customer satisfaction so I pointed out that the second Groupon had a cash value of $5 and that I would be willing to use the $5 cash value instead of the $10 Groupon value just so I could get something out of my investment.

They again adamantly declined to allow it. So, I couldn't even get my cash value out of the Groupon.

Ultimately, I told my son to get a meal and I ate a bag of chips.

You may say, sure, but how was the food? Well, it was way over priced and run-of-the-mill fast food Greek.

Bottom line: Their food was only adequate and their attitude toward...

I hate doing this because I do love their food, but I don’t want this happening to anyone else. On Black Friday, I ordered a pretty large order for me and my coworkers. I went directly to their website to order. Their website said they were open and available for delivery. I placed my order and even received a confirmation email. After 45 minutes my coworkers were wondering when our food would get here. The email did not give an estimated time so I called the restaurant to see how much longer. I got their voicemail that stated they were closed on Black Friday. Confused, I checked their website again that stated my order was confirmed and pending, and I checked my card and of course it was charged in full. We had to find somewhere else to eat, while still being out of the money we paid already to Dasks. The charge is still on my card 3 days later. I plan on calling them today to 1. Get a refund and 2. Inform them to fix their website so this does not happen...

I got the gyro burger with rice pilaf and a salad for a side. The food was good. The lemon rice was pretty on par to other local Greek Burger joints; although was a touch soggy at the bottom. The salad is decent, but a little too big for the plate that it came on; came with typical greens mix, olives, tomato, and feta. (You may want to ask them to go light on the dressing). The burger itself was good tasting; however the burger is very tall, where I almost had to unhinge my jaw to eat it. I gave up eating it by hand and just used a fork and knife as it was coming apart. Gyro meat is great, burger patty is well-made and delicious. Decor is okay, a little bare, but I really like the touch they added with the plants here. All-in-all worth coming here again, despite a few minor flaws...
