I really enjoyed living there for 2 months but there are a few things to consider which might be different from floor to floor. I believe not all floors have the same amount of apartments but the 11th has 6 units which makes the walls thin enough to hear any noise coming from neighbors. My unit was facing the ocean which was truly wonderful but…it is quite noisy as lemon rd is nowhere to be quiet. Trade winds plaza is literally between 2 hostels, 1 huge hotel and another 1 big scooters rental…you do get a quite place if you close the windows and turn on the AC making you miss the nice breeze coming from the ocean. It can get very hot and it’s almost like you have no option but switch on the AC during the day because of the midday/afternoon heat and night time basically because of the heat during the day but also the street noise that travels up directly to your room. Another decent remark is the trash truck that starts at 5:30-6am. I’m a morning person usually up that time but sometimes trying to sleep in. No chance. You will get woken up by that most likely every single day. The building manager seems a nice and helpful guy but he needs to understand that not everyone is a first time visitor. I’ve been to Hawaii a dozen times, I have more than a dozen friends around and as a single guy I can bring in to my room whoever I want to for dinner, lunch, hook up or whatever…not in a single moment I compromised the quiet of the space or the other tenants yet I felt being watched by him to the point of being asked if I was running business in the building. All in one I would not return there for my yearly Hawaii visit.

If you are considerate, this is a great place to live, and I encourage anyone to stay here, rent here or own here. I read a lot of reviews before signing a lease, and I was a little worried about some of the rants that I came across online. But understanding that every place has its pros and cons, I still chose Tradewinds Plaza.

I have met Joe and spoke with him quite a few times over my first month here, and he seems like a very genuinely nice guy. He is very helpful and never a bother, but then again I have a tray to catch condensation that drips from my a/c unit (I think this is a reasonable rule, although there probably was some oversight when installing the a/c units so low to the ground).

The location is amazing, I can jog through the nicest park in town and swim in the most famous beach in the world all in a Monday afternoon. There are obviously endless places to eat and shop, too, not that I do much of either. Overall, I'd suggest ignoring reviews by people with personal grudges against HOA personnel and make the decision for yourself based on the location and your needs.

And as a general rule, if you are considerate to those living around you, the same will be reflected to you, and your quality of life will...

The California Acemedy of Sciences is an excellent place for any family to take their kids. Not only will their children be estatic about the four story rainforest exhibit, but the adults will be interested to know that the Acedemy is state of the art facilities, such as a solor paneled roof, and the legendary albino alligator. They are constantly changing their presentations, from snakes, to, the evolution of the human body, in order to make things new and fresh. And for a family that is out-of state, this is definity a place to have on...
