If you need to assistance without attitude here, talk to Iush. He's the only one worth asking help for and the only reason this motel is getting 2 stars. Also, he's incredibly knowledgable about Houston. Now for the rest. Once we checked in our first hotel room, our shower head sprayed the entire bathroom. Iush had no problem getting us to a different room. The view was uncanny with a lovely junk yard and dog barking all night long. The room itself was not clean. There were fingerprints all over the window and mirrors. We had to replace our key cards 3 times due to them not working, the hotel is extremely outdated and looks like a little face lift was only done to the lobby and exterior. The morning women are exceptionally rude. My best friend and I are from Arizona so we are two hours behind Houston. On Sunday night we had a late wedding reception and Monday morning were a little lazy to get up. The morning women bang on our door at 12:14pm to say check out has come (which I totally understand) we told them very sweetly that we are packing and will be out as soon as possible. So we start rushing, mind you, we have no where else we can put our luggage before our flight that evening with the exception of a tiny trunk in a car. The women bang on the door again at 12:45 as we are literally grabbing our bags to leave. I have NEVER walked out of a hotel being glared at and feeling like I was a child in trouble by a stranger before and I never want to experience that again. IT WAS A MONDAY AFTERNOON AND THERE WERE 3 CARS IN THE PARKING LOT. Picture for proof. One of those cars being mine. Don't get me wrong, I understand rules are rules. But being a Customer Experience Manager myself I bend the rules from time to time to ensure my customer is happy. This is the first Best Western I have been completely disappointed in. Also, the two gas stations within walking distance are not 24/7. Do not waste your money here. Go to a different Best Western that is either newer or actually has a full remodel, spend a little more money, I promise it's worth it over your vacation being ruined. Do not waste your time here. You'll be replacing your key cards constantly. And the lovely overnight guy will just stare at you all mad when you can't get in the hotel at 3am because your card doesn't work. Heaven forbid he has to get out of his chair. We will never stay here again but we will come visit Iush. He is the only star there. Edit: I just read a few reviews (shame on me, I should've done before the trip) 215 was our first room too. So if you stay here make sure it's not in 215!

Surprised it was better than I thought! this area isn't the best, years ago a lot of homeless, and hookers were in the area I guess they stepped up patrols and cleaned it up when they started expanding the freeway... As for the hotel my room was clean, full hot breakfast, ice machine worked, microwave fridge tv lamps power outlets worked. The staff was nice, on site security guard. Did not feel as if I needed to pull a gun out to walk to the door. There's 2 entrances 1 is shared with the other hotel and 1 is directly off 290 feeder road. The convenience store across the street is 24/7 but after dark he won't let you in... again not the nicest area. The hotel parking lot is small I can see extended cab trucks and SUVs parked directly behind each other might have a hard time getting out. After dark they lock the front automatic door if the attendant is in the restroom you have to wait or use your card to go through the side door. Work out room, laundry, conference room not too far from shopping strips on 290 and surrounding area ( maybe 10 mins in any direction), walking distance from the metro bus Antoine rd / 34th st. I wish it was a little cheaper for what I usually see this hotel priced at I would rather stay in Katy near the waterpark or hwy6 i10 or 59 bw8. Business wise it's not far from UPS store, FedEx Kinkos, office max, office Depot, ace electronics, harbor freight, etcetera... big box stores to get supplies. I can see myself staying here again it was quiet not far from places I needed to be and go.

I don’t know if the previous reviews are bogus, but this hotel was horrible. IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS, I WOULD. Firstly, we get checked in, and go to our room. Right when we walk in, the black part on the door knob falls off and lands on the floor. Then we took a shower and the water was going all on the floor. We had the shower curtain in the shower, but it still got the whole floor wet. We then get ready for bed and the air was not working. We woke up to our baby sweating in her bed and us too in ours. The manager moved us to a new room, 207 right down the hall from 215, which is the room we came from. This room was okay, the air worked, but the sink leaked bad. It got my flat iron soak and wet (hopefully it still works). The breakfast on all days were a waste of everyone’s time. These was only enough milk for my kid to fill up a bowl of cereal. There wasn’t even enough to fill up the second bowl, so it was mostly cereal. The waffles were too thick so everyone had to stand there and wait for it to come out of the machine/gadget it was in. They didn’t have enough plates, spoons or bowls for everyone and nobody came to refill the stuff either. I told the manager and he asked what time did we come, like does that matter? There was still an hour and 20 minutes left into breakfast, so there’s that. We just checked out and we couldn’t be happier.

If I could give a -10 (negative 10), I would for the services at Best Western Plus Northwest Inn & Suites.||The front desk man checked me in and said to me up front that the door to the room 218 couldn’t be opened. He would escort me to the room and use a key to open the door. Room 218 was the last room available and the hotel was full. I would be moved to another room in the morning when someone checked out. The person who checked me in gave the key to another man named Sam to bring me to the room as he was about to leave at the end of his shift. ||Sam took me to the room and opened the door using the key. The room had strong smoke odor as I walked in. After a long day of driving, I tried but could not settle in because I was starting to cough after in the room for a few hours. I specifically stated in my reservation’s request “Extremely allergic to animal hair & smoking.” Yet I was in a room that was definitely smoked in. I looked around and saw the smoke detector was wrapped tightly in plastic. That meant someone had smoked in the room and wrapped the plastic around the smoke detector to prevent it to sound off. I immediately went to get Sam and pointed out the smoke detector being wrapped in plastic. I told him that I will check out in the morning. Sam told me to talk to the manager who will come in at 7am. I could not sleep that night. I spent the night looking for a hotel. I came down around 7:05am and saw Sam who introduced Maria as the manager. I informed Maria that room 218 was a smoking room and I had to move out as soon as possible. Maria said that she was fine with me checking out and would refund the charge. When I checked out around 8am, she still charged me for the night. I said that she should not charge for the room and she said that she needs to talk to her manager Sawan or Saloan. I said that she must speak to her manager as I will dispute the charge. ||It is very unfortunate for the hotel to provide extremely poor services to the customer and refuse to make correction for the wrongs. I am glad that I could find a room at Best Western Plus Hobby Inn & Suites for the remaining three days of my stay in the Houston area. I will never come back to Best Western Plus Northwest Inn & Suites. I also hope the hotel will remove that plastic wrap from the smoke detector immediately as that is a...

This is going to be a bit lengthy. First off as advertised the hotel is smoke-free our room smelled of cigarettes. Secondly the tub & shower head have a weird setup where there is a ring on the tub faucet that you have to pull in order to switch over to use the shower head. People who don’t know that there is a ring to be pulled on the faucet will not understand that is a step that needs to be taken. And lastly, I checked in fairly late past 3pm but fairly way before the midnight cut off. I purchased the stay on a gift card online and was charged full price for the stay even though the gift card previously paid it. The person who helped me was not the one who originally checked us in and mentioned that on their end they have to check and see if the purchases made on gift cards and rewards fully process. Meaning that the person who checked us in missed that step and went ahead and charged to the card I used to pay the security deposit. We checked in on a Friday and the charge to my bank account showed up on a Saturday, meaning my money will not be put back until a regular working business day on Monday and I have $0.00 in my bank account that was so clearly needed for travel. My advice to anyone deciding the stay here is be sure that if you’re prepaying in full your purchase goes through before your arrival. As far as resolving this issue, the person who notified me of the step that was missed upon check in was very nice and was quick to realize what happened and let me know the money will be refunded. I normally do not leave reviews but this mistake was really uncalled for and definitely needs to...
