Absolutely do not recommend this place.
We went for my sister’s bachelorette party. My sister booked bottle service in advance, and made sure that was what she was purchasing, both by what was listed on the website, and by calling at the time of booking.
Yet when we get there, the owner Debbie claimed the $300 is just to sit on the stage. The place is not packed at all, and the stage is not worth $300 in anyone’s wildest imagination.
So Debbie said she would give us an alcohol of our choosing, and we picked a bottle of 1800. Then, my sister’s card gets charged $268 instead of the $150 remaining. Supposedly $118 for this bottle of 1800. (A bottle which by the way, is $25-$50 at liquor stores near by). When we go to Debbie to fix this issue, she first tried to make us pay it, saying that was what it cost at a bar (which is absolutely ridiculous).
Next she tried to pin it on a nearby bartender when she was the one who gave it to us. She said she was mad at the bartender and would try to make him eat the cost, but my friend who has bartended before says it’s illegal for her to do so.
She wasn’t going to even give us a receipt or any proof of the refund until we pressed her for it. We made sure to get a refund for the bottle before we left, but we did pay $300 to sit on a stage, sing one karaoke song, and for a less than half a bottle of 1800.
The place was cute but not enough to get scammed.
Edit to Respond to Neon Boots: Most of the party was completely sober because of pregnancy, personal beliefs, and personal choice (myself included). There were only 4 or 5 people in the whole party even consuming alcohol, and were not able to consume much because of the incident that took place. We left with over half of the bottle un drunk. The party was not upset because of alcohol consumption, the party was upset because of maliciousness and fraud on the part of Neon Boots management.
To say that they did not charge her credit card is an absolute lie. There was a charge on her credit card, which was sent to her phone and why we became "irate and argumentative." This $268 was the $150 previously agreed to, and an additional $118 charge for a single bottle of alcohol, which was previously paid for through the bottle service charge. We made sure not to leave until the $118 additional charge on her card was completely refunded.
I repeat, the stage was a literal square two feet above the ground, and could easily be accessed by anyone. It was not really "VIP" since it was open to everyone and there was plenty of available seating at Neon Boots since there were very few people there in the first place. In no one's mind is it worth $300, including the cover. Even if you count the $5 cover charge for 16 people, that is only $80. To say that any combination of stage seating, cover charge, and/or a single bottle of alcohol is $1,200, is laughable.
They were actually trying to charge us $418 ($300 for bottle service + $118 for the “cost” of the bottle), despite the previous agreement of $300. We could have paid for the advertised bottle service of $250 for 4 people (since only 4 people were drinking), cover charged the rest of us, walked up to the stage that no one was monitoring, paid less, and gotten the gift bags advertised on the website. Except I doubt we would have gotten the gift bags.
The bride has a degree in Tourism and Event Management. It was not an “assumption” by the bride that we ordered bottle service. When we checked in the worker said “Let me know when you are ready for your bottle.” When she spoke with Neon Boots at booking, she explicitly asked if the $300 price was for bottle service, to which Neon Boots replied "yes." Her one mistake is that she didn't get...
Read moreThis is the one you must read. Always have reliable friends with you at this club if you have to see it! This is as low as it goes. Do not go alone if you just can't help but risk it. Underhanded sleaze from top to bottom. This is the worst of the worst. There is NO valid pride here. Do not believe the Yelp reviews, they filter out valid negative reviews. If you have LGBT pride do not patronize this club ever. I think most of the community knows the truth but this is for the ones who might be lured by the false praise. Trust me I know from experience that would disgust and blow your mind. One ex-manager reviewer said poorly run? dishonest? It goes way beyond that!!! What an understatement. He has posted positive and negative on Google and Yelp over the years, depending on the build up of negative reviews of Neon Boots. It is a serious systemic problem that can't be resolved by shuffling staff or review manipulations. Don't give them an inch. They will take long honed advantage and you will regret it. Oh yes they will pour it right down you before hand. I'm a savvy man and I am not the only one who was stupid enough to go alone, have too many and gone through what I have in their set up and game.
The fact that some have made it out safely is a relief to me but don't ever be fooled; much less be vulnerable without a trustworthy friend. This place and the people behind it need to go. For the naive reviewers, yes they seem nice to your face. They want to make money and they believe they can get away with what they do. Even new staff will be naive for a time. The ones that rule and the ones that have been around for years are conniving and covering nefarious cowards and unreformed criminals.
The reviewer who claimed to be an ex-manager removed his Google review. Yelp has recently reorganized what reviews are displayed. Don's have disappeared after being uninterrupted since the club opened. Many other negative reviews have been deleted. They claim it's a software monitored outcome but look for the documentary coming out about Yelps practices with the reviews and businesses they list. Kudos to the...
Read moreTonight was my first night going there and if I’m going to be honest about it staff was great except for the manager Ms. Debbie and one of the male bartenders. The male bartender gave my card to the wrong person without double checking names in the Visa card. When I told him what happened he got upset with me and told me I was wrong. He let me look thru the cards he had on tap to double check well my card wasn’t there. I asked for the manager and when I did she told me I was wrong because the color of my card and the person they gave my card to were the same COLOR. The guy behind the counter proceeded to tell me how I was wrong! Well the person they gave my card to wasted no time pulling money out of my account. After I realized that the money was gone the bartender told me there was no possible way that could’ve happened. I explained to him that I know exactly how debit cards work and he still continues to tell me I was wrong. I wouldn’t EVER recommend this place to...
