The day before mother's day my parter tells me amd the kids to be ready by 8pm for a pre mother's day outing. I assumed we were going to dinner because it was so late but then we pull up to this building that looks more like a warehouse than restaurant from the outside. When we stepped inside we were greeted by Pack "from Detroit" and given mimosas.. well those of us who were of age!! At that moment I knew this would be a great time. We watched a short safety video and stopped for a photo/video session where me and my kids beat each other with blowup bats.. much more fun than it sounds.. lol.. then we headed off to the changing rooms. They give you these hazmat looking suits, gloves, and boots(if you don't bring your own). The rooms are cute but it gets super hot once you're all stored up. We took the opportunity to take more videos and pictures.
Then we headed to the smash room where we were each handed a glass. Pack gave a short safety reminder and then turned on the music.... he gave us a countdown and we all smashed the glass we were holding in unison to get things started. Then it was full on pure unadulterated release. We smashed, we broke, we pried, we screamed, we laughed and I even cried a bit. It was amazing. We were given sledgehammers, crowbars, and a bat. I used everything. I smashed TVs,an old school mobile phone, a DVD player,an answering machine, a few scales, and soo much glass. My daughter did get glass in her big toe so be careful. Pack provided peroxide. I took the glass out and she was fine. At the end I was given a custom shirt and video recordings of our time there.. I definition would recommend and we...
Read moreThis is an awesome rage room. They have complimentary mimosas and champagne, they have your name on a board to welcome you, welcome you at the door, all the workers are super friendly especially Randy and Shay. My boyfriend and I had a great time and let out a lot of stress from working in the restaurant industry. We picked the Glass House experience with a 30 minute experience. They gave us 15 min with a break to rest, get water, they had props in the break room for selfies. During our break the room was cleaned out and reset with new glassware to break. Once we were ready we could go back in for the rest of our 15 minutes. They play loud music to get you in the mood with multiple tools to use to break. A few tips to keep in mind is to probably not wear shorts (they still have protective jumpsuit to put on. Just extra protection wouldn’t hurt) and if you have long hair tie it in the back so you can wear the safety helmet. We are definitely going to book again, the atmosphere was friendly and judgement free. Everything was also clean and very well planned from the moment you walk in. And if you forget to sign the waiver before you arrive it literally takes 5 seconds after scanning their QR code. Definitely...
Read moreThoroughly enjoyed our time at Break Life Houston! Customer service was top notch from when we walked in the building til when we walked out satisfied and sweaty an hour later. After watching a brief safety video, we were ushered into our dressing rooms to don some gloves, a suit, and a helmet with a face shield.
Lendsay, our awesome Rage Room rep, showed us our room and lent us a portable speaker so that we can play our own songs during our 30-minute session. There was a small shelf in a corner where we can safely place the speaker and our phones, away from the shards of plastic, glass, and metal that eventually covered the room.
The summer heat is still pretty unbearable, so we would step out every so often to the 'break room' and wipe away the sweat or to get a cup of water. At one point, Lendsay heard that we particularly enjoyed smashing the coffeemaker with the sledgehammer. Didn't expect him to walk in with an extra coffeemaker and some glassware for us to add to the mayhem. Again, real thoughtful of him to add to our already awesome experience.
Overall happy with our time at Break Life. They really set the bar when it comes to fun, customer service, and mayhem. Can't wait for...
