My experience was not a good one. I've stayed at MANY Courtyard by Marriott hotels, but this one seems like it was another hotel turned into a Courtyard. Called the front desk for assistance, there was no answer. Asked the lady in the hallway who was cleaning rooms for assistance, she said plainly, she did not speak English. The following are a few issues:||Stain on floor||Stains on furniture||Bug (looked like a roach) in room||Leaves on floor in room, so it could not have been vacuumed before I checked in.||AC not working properly||Commod constantly running||Did not replenish the very small soap bar for washing hands and makeup wipes||No ironing board||Light and outlets beside bed not working||Took several swipes of the key to get the room to unlock||Workout room didn't have any cleaning wipes, mats or towels.||Weird hallway smell||No pen or paper or information book about the hotel or area||No individual soaps, bars for bathing, or lotions, etc..it is not sanitary to use pumps in showers for shower gels. You know other guestsmost likely have touched the pumps with the clothes they are washing with. I ended up using my own soap that I purchased.||||A lot of updates are needed and a thorough cleaning! Even the coffee area in the lobby was lacking. It had a dispenser with some packets of sugar in a cup. What a cheap way to present a coffee station. Not even a caddy for the stirs, sugars, etc. Nor was there any coffeemate options such as French vanilla or hazelnut creamer pumps.||You have to pay for parking. Most parks are in gated area, which makes you wonder if it is a high crime area.||||The only positives were there are many restaurants close by, the lady who checked me in was nice and the asst. manager emailed me to ask how my stay was. I shared most of the above list with hopes he will help make improvements. It was quiet, but very eerily quiet! Makes me wonder what may be going on there because the parking lot was full. It is set way back, kind of hidden. When I checkedout, there were 3 police officers or security guards standing out front. The fire alarm went off late one night...then it stopped. I didnt see nor hear anyone come out of their rooms to make sure things were okay. I would not recommend, nor will I...

Have you ever been threatened by Marriott? I never thought this would happen at a hotel but the GM of this hotel threatened me that he will cancel my reservation and ban me from all Marriott.||I came in the hotel around noon. Nobody at the front desk. I waited for maybe 25 minutes, nobody came out. During the waiting I tried to find a bell but failed. So I asked loudly "is anyone here?", no answer. I think after some more time, a staff came out. But before I was able to talk with him, he went back. And still no response. I had an very urgent issue to deal with, so I really need to store my baggage and leave. So I called Marriott customer service. I told the customer service associate everything. After about 30 minutes, customer service told me there was and has told the front desk to help me. During the waiting time and this phone call, I stood near the front desk, so that as soon they come out, I could ask the front desk for help. The front desk staff did come out maybe 2 times, but they came back immediately so that I couldn't even talk with them. After about 1 hour, I was finally able to talk with a tall man in green t-shirt, who claims to be the GM of this hotel. The customer service told me I could check with the front desk staff if an early check in is available and also said she has told the hotel to give me some points as a compensation for the 1 hour waiting. So I told the GM man about this. The GM man turned very angry, he said I was aggressive. But I was just repeating what the customer service told me. I don't want him to feel bad so I said, it's ok not to give me compensation, just help me store the baggage. Yet he refused, he said I was too impolite. Then I said "It's okay you don't serve me, but I have the right to rate this hotel a bad score.". Then the GM man said he will ban me access from any Marriott and close my account and cancel my stay. I was threatened by Marriott! He said these while holding my bag with precious items in it, and he's a very tall man. I worry if he would beat me or pull a gun out or...

I was not very happy with this overall experience. Upon checking in, very early in the morning for an overnight stay, I was informed that the elevator was not working and they only had rooms on the 2nd floor and up. This required me to carry my bags up the stairs with no assistance. The person who checked me in was very matter of fact, she alluded to either being OK carrying my bags up the stairs or choosing another hotel- which was very limited in the immediate area. I feel as if something should have been stated when making the reservation so that I could make the decision at that time as to whether I'd like to carry my bags up the stairs because they were obviously aware that it wasn't working previously. The water pressure in the shower was horrible- although the temperature was great (and even scalding hotfor those who like that). The water in the sink started to pool as soon as you turned it on. So when I went to wash my face and tried to warm the water up, the water just sat in the sink. The picture that I took was about 10-15 minutes later. Additionally, there were not very many restaurants open in the area after 12am, which is surprising for that area of town. The view of the pool from the room was nice and it was quiet. The hotel is very dated on the outside. Needless to say, I was not very happy with this property or the overall experience. I would only recommend this location for those who aren't picky about needing a place to rest your head.

This should be maybe a last-resort option. Saw 1st hand that family that stayed at the nearby DoubleTree West Chase had a much better and cleaner experience at the same price. I was originally assigned room 224. The toilet bowl was stained brown, the toilet seat was "melted"/chipped and had a strange unnatural raised/dotted texture to it, the TV did not work, and there were obvious stains on the sofa. When I went to the front desk to show pictures of the issues, I wasn't even offered a new room; the staff was telling me that they can send someone up to clean the bathroom but those are hard water stains that will just return again, and also it might take 30 minutes or so before someone can attend to it. I had to suggest changing rooms as an option since it wasn't even proposed by the staff. The new room, 229, was cleaner, so it was obvious there wasn't a big hard water stain issue in all the toilet bowls of the hotel that made them brown. The toilet seat was normal and clean and the TV worked. Quite an unpleasant experience with the front desk. It's unclear if they purposely assign this obviously shoddy room to anyone that they "profile" at check-in to see if they would tolerate the obvious poor condition of room 224. Pretty upsetting, since I booked with the marriott website, so it's not as if I was mistreated for using a third-party booking service.
