Painting with a Twist — Attraction in Houston

I had my birthday celebration here in August.  Let me remind everyone how hot it was outside around that time.  When my guests and I showed up, we were told that their a/c was out.  There was no warning ahead of time.  No one called or emailed me to give me an option to cancel.  Had I known this beforehand, I would've definitely canceled. But, after showing up with my food,  dessert, drinks, and carrying it up all those stairs,  it was hard to just turn right back around and leave.  I was told that I could have music of my choice playing. I only heard one song that I wanted to hear. Someone kept turning the music off.  It was too hot to enjoy anything, and the instructor was rushing through the session. I, and some of my guests, had to tell her to slow down a few times.  We had to ask about the music a few times.  This was literally a hot mess experience.  The fact that they charged me full price to come sit in the heat doesn't sit...

A great idea for date night with friends and family. They have various locations around town. You can reserve your seat on their website. They have a preview of the painting for each night. The class is usually 2-3 hours long. Bring your own drink and food to class.

You don't need to have any experience in painting. They walk you step by step in class so you can relax. I was a little worry since I haven't painted in a while but I was happy with how my painting came out. One thing the instructor will tell you is to relax and not stress if you make a mistake.

2 hours went by faster than I thought. The instructor was nice and helpful. She was patience with everyone as someone took longer than others. I had a painting class yesterday with Leo. While I had a good time painting, it just wasn't the experience I had hoped it would be. I know it was a class but normally the hosts come by more and provide feedback and encouragement. He was nice and kept the class lively but as with any class activity, there's overthinkers. I am one of those and while his advice helped other people, it did not help me. For instance, instead of him saying what I didn't do right, he could have said how I could have improved or taken the class a little bit slower. In the end my painting came out the way I wanted but because of my colleagues help and support and not the actual teachers.
