When we began seeing Dr Wei he seemed like a good caring doctor. He would explain what’s going on and thankfully we were always given good reports about my now 2 yr old daughter. I can say we were pretty pleased until this year. I guess visits with him were good because thankfully my daughter has been in great health and we never asked questions since all seemed well. This year we welcomed our second child and all began well until I began hearing him breathe loud so I checked with his Dr Wei and he brushed it off since my child ate well and not to worry so at first I didn’t since doc will know more than me. 3 weeks later I return with same issues. I explain symptoms and how his breathing isn’t normal to my surprise he asked “what’s normal to you” with an attitude like if he didn’t like for me to ask questions. Everything I said that day I got answers with a very unnecessary tone. And once again he brushed it off because my son is eating well. At this point Im beyond upset and push him to refer me to a specialist. The day after doc visit I was able to see specialist and my son has now been dx with laryngomalacia. But it was nothing, right Dr Wei? I hope he reads my comment and he reevaluates how he practices and I hope no other parent has to deal with someone who failed to show compassion and take the parents/patient...
Read moreI can second the review given by Mayra. Dr Wei is fine if your child is healthy but he tends to dismiss you when something is wrong. Unless it is symptoms he can explicitly see, he will brush you off. Our newborn was suffering from acid reflux and vomiting. When we raised our concerns, Dr Wei simply dismissed it and said it is normal. When we provide the log and describe how severe the vomiting is, he said they are just spit up. We know the difference between a spit up and empty-your-stomach kind of vomit. He ignored us. We showed him pictures of the vomit to describe the volume, he sarcastically asked rather we scooped them up and measured it. When my child's growth chart dropped from 50 percentile to 35 and then to 15th. He still think it is normal. Sarcastically say "Some kids has to be down there. That's how percentile works." Dr Wei lacks common sense and cannot connect the dots. He just like to keep his own narrative and ignore signs. We changed pediatrician at 6 months mark and finally get to see a specialist. My son was diagnosed with acid reflux and was on medication until he is 2 yr old. With the correct treatment, my son was able to increase his intake and have a normal growth. I hope Dr Wei would take the parent's...
Read moreMy son almost die due to Dr. Wei's mistreatment. Dr. Wei won't listen and answer any questions and we could not trust his decisions. My son suffered severe acid reflux when he was born. My son would throw up all the milk that he took. My wife and I saw Dr. Wei and he demanded us to show proofs that my son threw up milk. We showed Dr. Wei the pictures that my son's threw up on the phone. However, Dr Wei asked us to proof the milk has the same volume as the milk bottle. "Did you scoop up the milk and measure the volume?" Dr. Wei kept reassuring us all the vomits were normal. Dr. Wei insisted my son would not need any medical treatments. Seeing our son losing weight everyday was an heartbroken experience. The condition has gone so bad, my son was admitted to Methodist Hospital on Mother's day. My son was diagnosed with severe acid reflux. We changed to another pediatrician. My son's condition dramatically improved with a prescription in a few months. His weight bounced back to about 50th %. I strongly do not recommend Dr. Wei to...
