Let me state my experience in total, and you pick out the parts you dont like. I pull up to the Inn entrance/office and approach the counter for service. Customer Service in my opinion is an okay 3.5/4 out of 5. I Request a 1-night stay, she has me fill out a paper for the make/model of my car then continues to hand me an electronic card key and tv remote. She tells me I will be staying in the building directly behind the office building. I give my yups and okays and continue on my way. The rooms appear to have a nice set-up from the outside as I can see an outdoor private patio area connected to each room. I had a bit of trouble finding the staiway to my room but realized that it was just passed the security gates. I enter the stairwell to notice an air conditioner unit that seems to be out of service (nevermind that, I wont be staying in the stairwell) I continue up some stairs and locate my door number. It is a tap to unlock method, so I do so and the door buzzes itself open. Upon entering, an immediated odor of menthol and cigarettes overwhelmingly attackeds my nostrils. I Place my bag down and get out my lysol fabric spray, which doesnt really seem to help. The lights are off in the room and the a/c is as well. Head over to turn it on to see that the vent face is broken but the a/c does run fine. The tv is a box tv with 30-40 basic cable channels (real basic 😒😉) and the tv remote works fine. The room is quite fitting for a 1-person stay if only the smell had gone away. I notice that the fire alarm is broken off the wall as well as a light fixture and a power outlet on the same wall. I need to charge my phone so I find an better outlet before even attempting to give the broken looking one a try. I look behind the tv, cables that seem to be mixed up make me look elsewhere. I glance at to where the ac unit is connected, I dont see anything worthwhile and need to be connected to and around the bed so I give up and use the outlet with a broken face. It works fine. Phone is charging bag is down next on the list.. Shower. I head to the restroom and everything looks okay. A two-door glass shower, the shower head is plastic. Two wash cloths and two body towels. I notice that an empty package of "fancy soap" has been left behind. Though 2 bars of fancy soap and 2 packets of hair wash are still available. It just seemed weird. I start my shower by running warm water. I read the shower knob face. It is pretty simple to understand hot and cold/bath and shower. Shower is already warm, I look down, water is filling up the tub. I figure I have it set to bath instead of shower so I fiddle with it. I was wrong. There just seems to be hair clogging the drain. Im disgusted. Call for a room attendant thats cleaning down the hall if you would be disgusted by this also. After the shower I want to relax, by now the room is a nice cool temperature. The odor has not left the room nor has my nose decided to let it faintly go away. Nice basic cable is on and I lay on the bed only to be scratched by the mattress covers. The blankets are very rough on the skin. Not good. I find myself watching tv on my phone rather than the set in front of me, mostly because The Vampire Diaries Season 1-7 is on MovieBox. This place has wifi although constantly reconnecting due to signal strength/weakness was a problem. The wifi doesnt have a password. A couple hours pass, the smell is still lingering. The room still with a warm tone and cool temperature intact. When i notice something through my side of my eye. I look up to the ceiling and there is a mother sized cockroach walking across my room ceiling. Im in awe and am also completely disgusted. The cockroach manages to fall all the while reminding that roaches have wings. It doesnt fly, it just glides to a piece of furniture, but im not in the mood to see a flying roach so I pick up a book that is left lying on the nightstand and slam the book at the roach. Crunch/pop/guts. Im disgusted. Morning of the next day. I wake up at 9 AM. Head to the shower.. I take a few steps back.. Inspect.....
Read moreDONT DO IT !! YOU WILL REGRET !!!!!!!!!! As President & CEO of Allstar Enterprise my company sometimes assist in travel arrangements. I WOULD NEVER ALLOW A CLIENT OF MINE TO CHECK IN THIS UNPROFESSIONALLY RUN ESTABLISHMENT. I made reservations to assure i got decent room to stay in a couple weeks while my home was being remodeled. 1rst they put me in a room total opposite of what i requested. Later that night when i returned from my office i found that TV only got 4 channels. I had to be moved to another room that was not same size bed and they wanted ME to pay for upgrade at 1rst but we worked it out. 2nd that night after buying food to go in mini fridge , i found it didnt even work. 3rd , I then found out microwave didnt work either. I also asked for smoking rooms and they kept putting me in NON smoking rooms. I attempted to call management that night but found that my phone didnt work either. 4th, they allow CRACKHEADS to knock on your door in middle of night to ask if you can spare $2.00. WOW ! Another one approached me when i was at desk and asked for money and management allowed that. The Bar and lounge , restuarant is a LIE. THERE IS NONE. ZEN MEDITATION ? ANOTHER LIE. DESK STAFF DID NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT WORD BUDDHIST MEANT AND COULD NOT EVEN PRONOUNCE IT. Some junkie mad about something turned over the outside trashcans and scattered garbage all over grounds. Another guy tried to sell me DVDs that were stolen from another tenants vehicle. HOWEVER, NOON SHIFT DESK CLERK OFFERED NOTHING BUT ATTITUDE AND IMPRESSION SHE THINKS PEOPLE HAVE NO OTHER OPTION . WITH HER ATTITUDE I FELT BEST THING TO DO WAS GET REFUND TO MY COMPANY ACCOUNT AND FIND BETTER ACCOMODATIONS. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, I WAS RECOVERING FROM FOOT INJURY AND WANTED TO MAKE THIS ALSO LIKE A SEMI-VACATION AND DO OFFICE WORK FROM ROOM. THEY MADE ME DO SO MUCH MOVING AROUND TRYING TO WORK OUT PROBLEMS THAT MY FOOT HAD RE-SWOLLEN AGAIN.

AS A VETERAN IN THE LIMOUSINE BUSINESS AND A LONG TIME HOUSTON RESIDENT , I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU BYPASS THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A RED CARPET INN. DONT DO IT...
Read moreThis place doesn't deserve a rating. One would be for it being cheap rates. It should be torn down and rebuilt. The bed bugs own the room you pay for the rooms with cash are credit and you pay the bed bugs with your blood. When you tell them they send maintenance in to spray the mattresses which looks as though they have been in the rooms since the building was first opened. The blankets are too large for the beds dragging the floor. They have washed the tubs with some hard cleansor where they have tried to paint them sooner are later someone will get lead poison just too nasty the large roaches and rats rusted refrigerators. And the manager is just rude as hell. Management is way over the top if a person pays for a room threat of calling tne police if he disagree with you about the room you paid for telling you the bed bugs are something Americans should be use to, but he's not the one covered from head to toe itching all day and night not a good feeling for a diabetic. Red Carpet Inn at Gulf Frwy just a slum, another project in houston.I can't believe the City of Houston hasn't inspected this place and made them clean it up. Even worser you can't even report this mess....
