7Spice — Restaurant in Houston

It was my first time eating 7 spice, I always pass by it and I wanted to try a new spot.

It was empty when I arrived. I ordered the duo, which is 1/2 pound of shrimp, crab, and 1 corn 3 potatoes. I added 2 eggs and got it with their signature sauce mild.

I am not a spicy eating person, so mild is my go-to for boils cause I will not be snotty trying to eat my food. Their mild did not taste like any spicy seasoning was added to it. The Flavor was good though, so, I'm not complaining, but just be aware of the spiciness for your order.

This order is also just enough for 1 person. I was able to eat it all in one sitting unless I'm just a big back and this was supposed to be a sharing size. Which originally is what I thought until the order was in front of me.

I got to eat alone in the diner, refill my cup when needed, and eat this non spicy flavorful filling boil. I give the boil a 7 out of 10. Service was a 10 out of 10.

The first time here and the young lady at the counter is hemming and hawing because she’s mumbling:..and I couldn’t understand her. then when I said sorry no sauce I meant extra juice she sighed and rolled her eyes. Not sure why the attitude I’m n a good mood and ordered $30.00 worth of food!!! Lol What did I do?? I just wanted to support the business geez!!! I’m still here now! Shrimp is fresh and other ingredients tasted fresh. The potatoes couldve been boiled to be a little softer. The reason for the low review is whole sausage thats served tastes weird. Wish they could change the quality and type of sausage that they use & if they could slice it. The seasonings were okay. The hot flavor was very mild and I was disappointed that there was no garlic at all or lemon pepper in the seasoning blend but they advertise to be a cajun style restaurant. Ive had better seafood boils from Cajun city or Swamp city. Literally tastes like a 7 seasoning blend and that's it, for that reason I wouldn't order again. Bland for a seafood boil and low quality sausage. A safe option if you by chance suffer from acid reflux or digestive issues.
