I had the worst experience at BreWingZ last night after waiting 15 minutes for a table of 5. My name was called, before being seated the hostess asked me if all my guest were here, I answered "No". The hostess replied, "Everyone needs to be here in order to be seated".. I was like "They're on their way they will be here soon".. she insisted "There has to be at least three people or more here to be seated". I insisted as well that "it wasn't a reservation and we've (my sister was with me at the time) been waiting for 15 minutes and we didn't want to wait anymore"..she insisted and I finally asked her how much longer did we have to wait and she said 25 minutes or more because they had to sit other guest. A worker stepped in our conversation responding in a rude tone "You will not be seated unless your guests are here because it's a packed house!" I asked him who he was and he stated he's the General Manager. I told him that we've been waiting and we didn't want to wait more time to be seated.. and he walked off. Then I told the lady I would call my husband to see if he was close by and will let her know if we wanted to wait. Due to loud noise I stepped outside to make the call but little did I know this General Manager would walk right behind me to talk to the officers and ask them to have me escorted if I would cause any more trouble. At that point I felt unwelcome and embarrassed because he shared this information in front of all guest that were trying to be seated as I walked back inside. I requested to speak with him in private and he seemed very furious, I asked him if he felt threatened or uncomfortable and wanted me to leave the restaurant. I aslo told him that it was unnecessary to involve security and he could have handle it in a different way. I asked him for an apology for being rude and all we wanted to do was to have some wings and watch the game and instead of him reaching out to his security, he could have just put me aside and asked what was wrong. I also mentioned to him that no one mention to us about the wait or the policy of having everyone present to be seated. You would think this General Manager would have empathy towards my situation and would apologize, but instead he raised his voice aggressively, more like a confrontation if that's what you can call it. His response was "You were in wrong in how you were acting, I will not allow no one to be rude to my employees, I doesn't have time to be dealing with this situation because he had a packed house, a party going on and that's why he asked security to get involve (which I forgot to mention the party of 20 was checking out from their table as we're having this conversation)". I honestly regret not having dinner somewhere else and mostly apologizing to this man only because he made me feel hopeless. Where is your customer service especially as a manager this sistuation seemed more like a personal level? He definitely couldn't understand my point of view having to wait a longer time, feeling unwelcome after he spoke to security. Read moreWorst. Experience. Ever. I work around the corner and have been eating here for years. It used to be a place where I could get a hot meal super fast for under $10. The speed, service, and quality have declined greatly over the last year, and there have been several menu changes. We have gone from eating here once a week to once a month. After today, I will not be back EVER.
We arrived today at 12:05PM. Our drink order was taken right away but it took about 10 minutes to bring them. We got our drinks and placed our order which included a Pick Two special. The items listed on the menu under this special were 1/2 Club Sandwich, 1/2 Monte Cristo, House Salad, Caesar Salad, and Soup or Side Item. My friend picked the club sandwich and one of the sides from the section on the menu that said Sides. About 10 minutes after we placed our order the waitress came over to the table and said the side we chose was not one of the options. We explained that we were just following the menu, and asked her to get a menu so we could take a look. Sure enough, the last option was Soup or Side. She refused to make the situation right because the manager told her no. So we asked to speak to the manager. He came over about 10 minutes later. We explained the situation to him. He said he didn't want to argue about legalities or what's on the menu, he was telling us that wasn't one of the options and we would have to pay for the upgrade. I told him we were just going by what was written on the menu, we were not asking for a special upgrade. I recommended that if soup or side is not available or if it's extra then it should be removed from the Pick Two as an option. It genuinely seemed like he didn't believe us that the Soup or Side option was listed. I finally asked him to just go take a look at a menu. He told us that if it didn't say what we told him he would be back to let us know we were wrong. He left the table and never came back, in fact no one ever came back. We waited until about 1PM and no one had returned to our table and we had not received our food. At that point we felt like our only option was to just go elsewhere, so we left. No one seemed to notice.
For the price, I am not expecting greatness by any means. But I do expect that when a menu gives me an option that's what I am going to get. And while I don't expect customer service to be stellar, I at least expect to be able to have a reasonable discussion with a manager to get an issue resolved. Read moreI am a regular at this brewings i have been coming here since it was wings and more i have come to know the staff here and they are all a bunch of lovley ladies i came here with my husband this past tuesday and i am highly upset with the new management. !!!!! I noticed a couple of the customers kept picking on some of the servers and this went on for maybe 30 minutes ! It seemed like none of the servers wanted to attend these customers because of how rude and disrespectful they were being ! I am guessing the new GM ( because ive never seen him before) he was the one attending the table full of disrespectful customers it didnt seem like he cared that they was treating his staff so poorly im so sure that if this was any other restraunt you would not let anyone treat your staff like this. The server they kept picking on ( dont recall her name shes tall) went outside im guessing to get some air and refocus because they kept messing with her trying to trip her . From then on i saw these customers go outside and the begin to ATTACK the server all at the same time . Thats when i watched the other servers try to get the customers away from the server. Like ive said ive been coming here for years and ive never seen anything like this ! And the new manager just STOO THERE AND WATCHED . I just cannot believe how you can let your employee get Attacked by customers and just stand there and not so anything about it . Not once did he move he just watched when he should have called the cops . No, he just stood there and did nothing . The only manager that seemed to care was Sal. He was trying to get the customers off her and he was asking the GM for help and the GM did not care . Ive come here for many years and ive seen waitresses come and go but the staff and waiters they have now are by far my favorite staff yet. I just hope none of the employees loose their jobs because of poor managment. All these hard working ladies, only a poor manager can tear appart a good staff. My overall experience with this brewingz has been great but never once have i seen a situation like this be handaled so poorly, i dont blame the servers at all because they were attacked , not once did they do anything to deserve being attacked.
