If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. I was in town for my family reunion and this was the hotel chosen for our family. My first day there after checking in my mother and I received the keys to our room while looking over the room and saying how nice we saw a roach on the closest door. I called down to front desk, they wanted to send up maintenance. I requested another room. We moved to the second room everything seemed to be okay until we woke the next morning and my mother while using the toilet discovered yet another roach this time on the wall. I called front desk again and asked to be be moved he said he would talked to the manager when she came in. I went to the store came back to find out Jo one had called. I then called the front desk again and spoke with the manager who wanted to again send maintenance up, now I am not sure what maintenance can do when clearly there is a roach problem in this hotel. I requested to be moved again. We were moved for the 3rd time within the weekend to another room. That room seem to have been fine for the most part. I did ask how they were going to accommodate us for the inconveniences the guy I spoke to last week told me I was not being charged for the room. There is a problem with roaches there because we saw one on the floor dead by the elevator on Sunday when preparing to check out and leave. The manager Rhonda seem to think it is funny that I said I have never experienced this in all of my years of staying at a hotel. She asked me in Texas. I live I Dallas and my husband and myself do staycations all the time and I have never experienced this. After speaking with Kelvin and he assured me my card would not be charged they charged my card anyway and I called to find out why when we were inconvenienced. Rhonda called me back and only gave me a refund of $117 dollars out of the $400 they charged me. I will be contacting my bank to dispute this charge due to the inconvenience and also of being told they would not charge me. I will not be going back to this hotel or any staybridges if this is how they do business. This hotel need to be shut down and exterminated for the roach problem glad I did not eat breakfast there! I forgot to mention my cousin stopped me Sunday morning and asked if I had seen any roaches and I told her we had been moved to 3 different rooms she told me she had flying roaches in her room her and her daughter. I am not sure why they plan to accommodate them but clearly anyone reading this can see it is a problem. I am thankful I took pictures. The problem I she is the manager seems to think it is funny. The location was good because it was close to everything that is the only thing good that...
Read moreWe stayed at Staybridge because my wife was having surgery at a hospital just around the corner from this property. We live 45-90 minutes away depending on traffic. I thought it would make it less stressful to stay close the night before to be on time with no stress and no traffic. The night after in case there were complications and she'd need to go back. This was an outpatient procedure but still very complicated. Well, it was the right call. The morning of the surgery we arrived early with no stress, and of course there were complications that sent her to the ER. It was a very stressful situation. Do you know what made it bearable? The staff at Staybridge!
D, Rh, Ax, Ro, the awesome housekeeper, and the waitstaff all amazing! There were no problems whatsoever! Because of their professionalism, their attention to detail, their compassion for our situation, and the systems like a real breakfast and dinner, we didn't have to worry about a thing other than the problems at hand. It sounds like a small thing, but when you're in the midst of the storm, knowing there is a great place with wonderful people to help you through is worth its weight in gold. Because we were close to the hospital and able to focus on the problem, we worked with my wife's doctors and found a solution. We did have to stay an extra night and Ro made sure we were taken care of.
Everyone made quite an impression on us.
The housekeeper- Thank you so much! Our room was clean and well prepared. Couldn't have asked for more.
The front desk staff- AWESOME! Y'all are really beautiful and talented people! Thank you so much!
Manager- Thank you SO MUCH for making sure we had a reservation and your understanding. Utterly and completely appreciate you!
GM- Very impressed with you and your staff and what you will not bend or compromise on. Your staff is incredible, your property is clean and well maintained, and I can't tell you what a nice breakfast does to start the day and coming back to a real dinner was just what we needed. The daily theme like "Taco Tuesday" and "Burger Wednesday" adds an element of home. I would push for farm fresh eggs-but the fact that its there at all, is a good exchange. Thank you very much!
Everyone, again thank you so very much! My wife is on the mend and our hearts were blessed by you.
God Bless!

Read moreFantastic hotel. Had a pleasurable experience from the moment we checked in until we checked out. |Loved the spacious suites and super comfy beds. Although we had a kitchen, we didn't make use of it other than keeping drinks cool in the fridge. |The bathroom was great and we really loved the full-sized shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided. Since my daughter and I both have thick hair, this was a nice bonus (we always bring our own too). Loved that there was pumpable hand soap too - yay - less waste. |We did not make use of the laundry facilities, but we did make use of the outdoor pool and the firetable - what a great way to end the day. The outdoor area was a definite hit with our group, and every night we stayed at the hotel, after a swim, we sat around the table. |The breakfast was more than adequate, and no one left hungry. The Texas shaped waffles were super cute, and there were always eggs, bacon/sausage, plenty of bagels/bread/muffins, oatmeal/grits, and yogurt with all the toppings. Lots of tea/coffee choices and flavoured creamers, and the kids enjoyed the selection of juices and milk. Plus, the breakfast hours were great so we never felt rushed to get up early to make sure we'd make it there before they ran out of food. ||If I had any complaints at all, it would be that the doors to the hotel room slam quite hard and it's loud but once we knew that, we just made sure not to. Also with the highway/freeway/interstate so close, it was a little loud outside in the evenings - but that's not the hotels fault at all. We felt spoiled by this hotel as the two we stayed in after this we so subpar. |If we are ever back in Houston, we are staying at the Staybridge. It was our favourite place to...
