Response to Norwood's comment: The cancel button was grayed out upon booking so lets be honest. I then emailed you to cancel SEVERAL TIMES before 24 hours prior to the stay and YOU DIDN'T RESPOND. I then contacted air bnb and you didn't respond to them either. I even tried the chat option and no one ever answered. I wish there was an attachment button so that I could show proof. Secondly, the numbers listed were fake and still are unless they've been changed since August 12, 2022. One number was someone's personal cell phone number and the other number listed a recording came on that stated it wasn't a working number. Thirdly, you're absolutely correct, I didn't check in. I rode past and it looked abandoned and like a crime scene and after reading the REAL reviews repeatedly on google and other sites (roaches, bedbugs, holes in walls, missing ceiling tiles, broken windows, no microwave or fridge, nasty carpet, no bedding nor towels, foul odor, etc), I wouldn't dare. Lastly, lets speak on how air bnb removed you as a host (thanks to me, you're welcome)and all of the negative reviews (not ONE positive)there and how you posted FAKE reviews here (I guess air bnb is more secure than google and won't allow fake reviews). No one would EVER give you a 5 star rating. Like I said, it's very unfortunate that the people you scammed on air bnb didn't reserve through paypal. I was smart and able to get my refund. Your wish for me to stay there is DENIED. I don't pay to stay at slums.
Original Review ALL OF THE 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE FAKE. THEY WERE ALL POSTED ON THE SAME DAY AND ARE ALL FOREIGN NAMES...HILARIOUS. THESE PEOPLE ARE FRAUDS. Now for a REAL review...DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked through air bnb and the pictures are fake on the air bnb site. The listing was new on the site and air bnb has a waiting period of 14 days for the reviews to post, so there were no reviews at the time. Now there are 11 reviews on air bnb and ALL are negative. The host didn't respond nor communicate and the numbers listed were fraudulent. All of the negative reviews are ACCURATE so I will not repeat what others have stated. They didn't honor the cancelation policy and the cancel button was grayed out not giving an option to cancel. I didn't check in and at all and they still TRIED to charge me. There's a good thing I had receipts (several messages sent to them requesting cancelation and inquiring about the fake numbers, etc.) because these scam artist really TRIED to keep my money. Thank God for Paypal, I disputed and was refunded. It's unfortunate that others were not refunded. My advice, always pay through Paypal, because they will refund if the situation calls for it regardless of what the seller's policy states. After my emails to air bnb, they can no longer host on that site. This hotel is not fit for a pig to stay in. For proof, go to trip advisor. A few guest actually have the REAL...
Read moreI've stayed at La Quinta's all over the United States. I didn't think that one could be this bad. I read most of the reviews on Google and thought - meh, it's not that bad, it can't be! Right? Wrong! Upon check in, the ladies behind the counter were very short with me...which was not welcoming, AT ALL. I specifically requested a room on the first floor and got one on the 3rd. When I got my change from the front desk lady, she said "ok, see ya later" and just stood there...staring at me. When I asked for my room key she looked around like as if she'd already handed it to me and made it seem like it was such a hassle to scan one and give it to me, like she was supposed to do in the first place. She didn't say a word after that, and when I opened the little packet to see the room number, I seen it was on the third floor and when I asked about rooms on the first floor, she said "we don't have any". I booked far enough in advance, and had a request for a first floor room...clearly that means nothing. I paid a ridiculous amount of money to stay at this ratty hotel. I could have stayed at a motel a few miles from here for half the price and felt better about the money I spent. I came here with my 8 month old son and held him, the ENTIRE time. He is pretty mobile, but I didn't want to risk him getting a disease or infection from the floor or sheets. The carpet in the room is a horrible green color (color doesn't matter to me...) but it had a TON of cigarette burns in it! I'm sure someone paid the $250 for smoking in this room...why didn't they replace the carpet? Not to mention, I took my shoes off for 3 minutes, walked from the window to the bathroom and back to the window and my feet were turning black from the carpet! My room was right next to the elevator, and throughout the night I heard every time someone used that damn thing, which of course, kept waking my son. The door to the hotel room looked like it had been broken into quite a few times, which isn't very comforting for a woman traveling alone with a baby. The room had an awful smell to it, almost like a musty cigarette odor. The shower water pressure was terrible, the tub was pulling away from the wall, the tiles were all chipped around the base of the floor and the wall in the bathroom, and only half of the lamps in the room worked. I've stayed at some pretty bad places, I served in the military and lived in some serious austere environments while deployed...this hotel is BY FAR the worst overnight experience I have ever had. From the snobby front desk ladies to the terrible condition of the room and the creepy parking lot..definitely not worth the money, restless night, or time. This left a very bad stain for me with the La Quinta hotels. I could have had a better stay in my vehicle at a Walmart...
Read moreThis place was amazing and the service was 5 star. All the hotels in Indianapolis were booked and we had been driving with a toddler for 13 hours.... cue calling this gem! Guy answered the phone and was warm, inviting and efficient when I called at 1 AM (and despite the panic and loss of sanity I'm sure he could detect in my voice). He held the room immediately (they were selling out for the same reason Indianapolis did- volley ball tournament), told me just get there safe and he'd get any other info needed then. Guy was still bright eyed and bushy tailed when I arrived almost 2 hours later (did I mention midnight construction was being done on a SATURDAY!??!! Wth). Checked us in a clean, inviting, spacious room that was just what our weary souls needed.
Next day Caitlyn and Michelle were at the front desk when I called to ask how much a late check out would run (let's face it after the day before I was considering just asking for a job and staying the summer if it meant never driving again). Caitlyn asked some questions then offered a noon check out at no additional cost. She also answered the rest of my questions with detail and patience despite what I could hear was a busy desk! We ventured to the pool and needed some towels and Michelle from the front desk jumped to help us, personally bringing them to the pool because she didn't want to make us wait! Then returned with more when she noticed that they hadn't been placed out for guests that AM (to be fair we were up really early despite a late check in- that's cause kids DON'T TELL TIME *sigh *). It said a lot that she obviously took pride in her hotel and wanted it to be the best. She also provided bags for our wet suits since we'd have to "pack" them.
Both Caitlyn and Michelle spoke at length with myself and my family, they were a delight! Such personalities! They even had my shy 2 yr old enthralled.
This location had a beautiful leisure area outside that was well kept, spacious, and landscaped perfectly. The inside has a mini eatery with fresh food service for the morning. The entire experience was a 5 out of 5 and in this day and age where "good service" can be hard to find they hit that bar and surpassed it.
Bravo La Quinta! You've set the bar pretty high for all those that follow (for us on this trip ) and I'm forever grateful for the light you provided in our "storm"! Blessing and love!! (Michelle even gave me a goodbye hug - one mom to another- I really...
