On a recent Sunday afternoon we were passing through Indianapolis looking for a place to have lunch that we don't have at home (Louisville) and I said to the wife, I said "Hey, can you see if there's a Jack in the Box we can have lunch at in Indi"?, to which she replied "That sounds good, let me check!". She found one right off if I-70, so I told my car to navigate me there (My car can do that) and in 10 minutes arrived at the Post Rd location.
This location is right off of the expressway and it's very easy to find. It was about 1:30pm, so we fortunately missed the lunch rush.
Before we even walked in I knew what I wanted, and that was those outstanding Jack in the Box tacos.
We were second in line behind a small family, so that gave us enough time to look at the menu (although I didn't need to because: TACOS).
As we stood there waiting to place our order with the cashier (notice that I said with a cashier and not on an impersonal freakin' kiosk like a boatload of other fast food eateries any more?) I saw a sign touting the Monster Taco, only available for a limited time? What's better than a Jack in the Box Taco? A Jack in the box MONSTER Taco! Yes, please, I'll take two! (for $3, by the way). Wifey had a burger or something...I was too busy being excited about getting Dem Tacos!
The restaurant was clean and well-stocked when we arrived, aside from the drink station with, let's face it, is trashed in just about any fast food restaurant. The floors were clean, trash wasn't overflowing, and all the tables were clean.
My wife's whatever-it-was burger was good (by her account). The Monster Tacos were very much worth taking a short detour off of I-65. I had the Angry Monster and the Regular Monster. The Angry Monster had a red taco shell and a spicier sauce..and I Liked It!
The staff we encountered (cashier, primarily) was very nice and helpful. For the most part the staff was busy taking care of things, but during the 45 or so minutes of our stay, no one came out to take care of the dining room.
Now that we know there's a Jack in the Box easily accessible during our trips to Ft Wayne and...
Read moreThe problem with this place isn't even their fault, but it is what it is. And this is what it is... there are usually always a scamster or two that will see you drive up in the lot and then they will act like they are just coming over from the hotel, as if they happened to be arriving around the same time you did, but in reality they are just simply watching like vultures. And then they come up to you and they start telling you lies about things in order to extract money from you. I have even tried to go into the other entrance that faces the street in order to get away from the guy as he was approaching, I go in to make my order and as I start filling up my drink cup, the guy comes over telling me about how his girlfriend this and that and the other and he starts telling me his lies, and I get out of there without giving any of these lying Liars any of my very hard-earned cash... I work with my hands and I don't make that much. Now it's at a point where I will never go back here, because even if that guy was gone, there are others that do it. The area is just terrible for it. If Jack in the Box at this location wants to fix this issue, it would mean that I would probably be coming back to eat here somewhere between 40 and 50 times per year. And for what dollar amount I usually order, that's going to be somewhere around $600 of lost Revenue for this location, since I live so close, and it's gone because they don't have a strong policy in place for lawyers and panhandlers to stay away. So this restaurant does have things they can do to fix this issue, but I doubt it will happen, which means even though I live barely just north of them, within walking distance, I won't be going there. And those same people do this to all the businesses around here, and I've seen the same five or six faces over and over and over and over and over again. It's just constant barrage from these people. The businesses need to start standing up for their customers, because fast food is already too expensive, and then all of a sudden a barrage of fake homeless people begging for cash and telling you lies because they...
Read moreI always say this because it’s not required for you to work at Jack in box . If your not happy working in the position your working in please quit. I hate that they closed the Jack in box that was in fishers because least i did not have to deal with attitude on someone not wanting to do their job. I’ve been to this location a couple times basically getting the same thing the tacos and chili cheese curly fries. First 3 times i got what i ordered and no issue , even though i read the comment i tend to give restaurants a chance. Yeah ..no today i received half of what i order which is 8 tacos and 2 chili fries i have a niece that i pick up and i tend to get her tacos since that’s what she wants and then i get some for myself . I get to window i pay then i felt something was wrong and i was only charge for 4 tacos (when i asked for 8 TWICE ) and one chili cheese fries . I let the woman in window know that that was wrong and told her what i wanted again and it seem like she ignore the fact i said 8 tacos but i did get my other chili cheese fries that i order the whole time u can tell that the woman have a attitude and I’m really not the one for attitudes. When i didn’t do anything wrong not my fault u work at fast food and don’t like your job not my problem. I expect to get service and my order correct without mood swings. So i still didn’t receive my 8 tacos which i was just over it and her and i know how i can get when i get upset so i just took it and left i just ended up going somewhere else for myself with better customer service and not ppl that ignore what the hell your saying when your basically offering to give money for great service . I’m not stating to be all smiles everyday etc but don’t give attitude for a positiion u decided to apply for . No i will not be back to the one out east due to this fact . They really do have some good tacos but it’s not worth the...
